Goode company is a staple and this visit was definitely good. My friend and I decided last minute to head here for some BBQ baked potatoes. The delicious smells hit as soon as we walked in! The staff was also very attentive and friendly during the whole visit. I ordered the brisket BBQ potato with a side of mac and cheese. I'm usually hesitant to order mac and cheese; although I love it, most places fall short. This mac and cheese was bomb - so good! The potato however was only okay. For more flavorful bbq, I might try another place before heading back to Goode, but this was still a wonderful visit and we didn't leave hungry.

BBQ Dinner Two Meat

Howdy from a cool BBQ spit! Service and atmosphere: This place is super organised, decorated and has a true Texan vibe. The restaurant's clean aesthetics will let you enjoy your visit and food to the maximum. Moreover, you will receive great customer service too. Food and drinks: Fantastic on all fronts. Tender BBQ meats, smashing seasoning, tangy sauce and very good selection of sides was spot on. They offer good selection of beers. Red wine is on the menu too. All was great. Pricing: Just right and super worth it!

Chocolate crème pie from Goode Co

Went with friends for a late lunch. We used to live in Houston and love Goode Co BBQ. The food is always good and consistent! We all had plates with two meats and sides. Brisket, Turkey , ribs , jalapeños sausage , cheque sausage all of it was delicious. We also got a chocolate crème pie to bring home and eat also delicious!! The restaurant is decorated with old saddles and other vintage items along with a beautiful chandelier. This is the best BBQ in Houston highly recommend!!

Bbq sauce, Austin baked beans, brisket, pork ribs and chocolate bourbon pecan pie.

My first time ordering take out. I ordered the 3 meat two sides dinner which was only $1 more than the two meat two sides dinner. I had brisket which was mild, tender and juicy. A double order of pork ribs that were both tender and meaty. Flavor on the meats was nice. The Austin baked beans were scrumptious! Filled with meat, potatoes, peppers, and great seasoning on the baked beans. The beans could be a meal on its own. The potato salad was bland as if they had put cottage cheese or sour cream in it. The condiments included a nice container of mild bbq sauce, side of pickles, onions, jalapeños and a slice of homemade jalapeños cheese bread. For dessert I ordered the chocolate bourbon pecan pie..excellent! Not over powering, but deliciously rich in flavor.

I've been coming to Goode Company for years and they've never missed!!! I always get the Beef Ribs, Green Beans (LOVE THEM), and Czech Sausage. The Turkey and Chicken are fan favorites that I'll try, if I'm feeling it. The secret star of the show is the Pecan Pie. Customer service is always a hit. I always pick something that the cashier likes and try it.

I feel like five stars isn't enough. My co worker and I went here on the same day as the big storm in Houston about a month ago. We arrived in the middle of the storm, it was probably too dangerous to run from the car to the restaurant but we did any way. The manager welcomed us into safety. After awhile of watching the storm they asked if we were hungry, I insisted we pay for it but the said don't worry about it because they didn't have any power to the registers. The staff was super welcoming and nice, and the food tasted amazing, food was still warm even though there wasn't any power!

BBQ Lunch Three Meat: brisket, baby back ribs, and sausag
Christopher C.

It's a good barbecue joint that has a very "texan decor." The portions are good for a lunch, and the staff is extremely cordial! Food: the three meat plate with Sausage, brisket, and baby back ribs was good and paired excellent with the complimentary bread slice! Specifically, the brisket was tender and tore easily, the sausage had a good casing, and the ribs were a bit tough but still excellent flavor. The sides of rice and cole slaw were good, but the rice was a bit too mushy. Be sure to ask for an extra barbecue sauce (it's sweet, but good) Cheers

Goode Co has pretty okay barbecue and a fun dining hall to make the experience fun. I book large groups here often. They offer a private room on the balcony overlooking the restaurant. It's fun up there with a great view of the hall and your guests and have a make lots of noise without bothering other guests. The restaurant will cater so your party doesn't need to see menus and the staff does a super job with service.

Went to Treebeards for lunch on Labor Day. The restaurant was pretty empty when we walked in, so…read morethere was plenty of open seating. It is an order at the counter setup. You place your order, they hand you a number and your drink glasses, and you grab your flatware over by the drink station. They have these cute little trays to carry your cups, napkins, and utensils so you are not awkwardly trying to juggle everything back to the table. After you sit down, they bring your food right out to you, so no waiting around the counter. The deviled eggs were delicious, honestly some of the best I have ever had at a restaurant. They come topped with a tiny piece of crispy bacon. They do offer fried deviled eggs, but I am more traditional, so that is what I went with. You can get an order of 3 or 6. We went with 3, and the second I tasted them, I wished we had gotten 6. For my main, I got the fried catfish and asked for it extra crispy. It came out piping hot, served with homemade tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, and two sides. They use a cornmeal batter just like my mom used to make, and I absolutely loved it. The tartar sauce was great, too. I would honestly go back just for the fish. For sides, I picked the greens and French fries. The greens tasted just like real greens should. That took me straight back to my mom's cooking, and my mom could seriously throw down in the kitchen. The fries tasted fresh and homemade, definitely not out of a frozen bag. I am usually not one to clean my plate and almost always have leftovers, but the portions here were perfect. I ate all my catfish and about half the fries and greens. My friend got the chicken pot pie and said it was good. I took a bite, and while it was not bad, it was nowhere near as good as my catfish. For his sides, the mac and cheese was good, but the green beans really did not have much flavor at all. Overall, it was a great meal. I can't wait to go back and try a few other things on the menu.

The aesthetic and ambience draws you in to experience a soco gastronomical experience, but what you get is an embellished Cracker Barrel or Luby's quality dish! YIKES. It's not very clear once you walk in that you walk to the register to order your food. Someone does bring it out to you. Self serve on cutlery, napkins, and drinks tho! I asked the girl at the register if she had any recommendations and I know they specialize in Southern Comfort food but I was too chicken to try anything!!! No pun intended, but I did order the chicken tenders and fries. We will get to that! She was friendly and made some great suggestions, which I appreciated. I was slightly surprised by the price point for the food, but then when we actually started eating, I was no longer surprised. Here's what we ordered: - Fried deviled eggs with bacon - chicken pot pie with a side of beans and rice and broccoli - chicken tenders and fries And the SAD complimentary bread. I mean SAD. No wonder it's free. The only two things I'd recommend are the red beans and rice and the deviled eggs. DO NOT get the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were drenched in grease and old oil, soggy and something you'd get at Five Guys or Wings and More. Dark, greasy and disgusting. The tenders were nothing special. My hubs found cartilage and bones in his chicken pot pie and the crust was super thick and bready!! Came out in a "scalloped potato" or "bread pudding" style dish rather than a traditional circular dish. It was around 5pm when we got there and the restaurant was practically empty on a Wednesday night! That was red flag number One! Their coke fountain drink was pure syrup and water and no one checked or maintained the machine so the carbonation had run out! Had to ask that to be switched. Red flag number two. It took us forever to get our food and while I saw servers walking around, no one was really checking to see how our food was or how we were doing. All in all, pretty disappointing and won't be returning. But we did give it a good faith effort and try some place new. sadly, it just wasn't a hit.

I wandered in not expecting much, but my experience here ended up much better than I thought…read more I went with their August prix fixe and went with their Truffle Deviled Eggs, Crispy Sweet & Sour Shrimp, and Key Lime Tart. The deviled eggs make good comfort food and was satisfying. This version doesn't have much of a kick, but it's very creamy and you can definitely taste the truffle oil. The homemade potato chips also add to the texture and salt between bites. The shrimp dish was fun with a light and crispy batter, well-seasoned and drizzled with sweet chili sauce. The cool ranch surprisingly added to the shrimp and enhanced the chili sauce rather than overwhelming it. The made-in-house fries were far better than expected. I was somewhat expecting dense, oily, boring fries, but these were very crisp and somehow didn't feel too greasy as far as fries goes. Almost seemed like an injustice for it to be served with ketchup as it was too good for it. Lastly, the tart was a great way to end the meal without it being too much. Loved the crust. The tart shell tasted really good and went well with the filling, which had a lighter consistency than pudding. Fruits tasted like they were on season, even though it should be a bit too late for strawberries. I'm also a sucker for meringue. I'll have to come back to see if it wasn't a fluke, but there were a lot of dishes here that looked good. Maybe even swing by for happy hour, we'll see. Definitely a nice spot to visit in this neighborhood.

The meatballs and tomato sauce were both solid and I loved the toasted bread on the side. As for the truffle deviled eggs, that's something you don't see often on the menu! The truffle flavor/aroma was solid and the fresh chips on top were nice. The cheeseburger was pretty good and I enjoyed all the veggies that came with! Aside from that, the restaurant had a neat interior/decorations and good service!

This was a place I discovered thanks to social media. I always recalled the place mentally as a "have to visit" business. The opportunity brought itself coming from the northside of the city and this was on the way back home. Very cozy casual place but the menu would be at the front. There were a mix of options but decided to go with the bulgogi deluxe and grabbed a barely tea drink from the fridge. It was just as expected and more. Lots of banchan variety to give the different textures and flavors. The bulgogi is well made, not dry and soaks in that traditional flavor. Overall it was a good visit to my first trip to Seoul Spoon. To me it gives me the type of atmosphere you would like in a comfort food spot: not a large spot, casual dining no matter what time of the day, nice helpful service and the food hits the spot. You can also purchase some grocery items, snacks, and even prepared Korean side dishes and marinated meats for home cooking or the next kbbq. The food is priced well and worth the quality. Located in Spring Branch, this fast casual restaurant is located in the same shopping center as quite a few solid eateries including The Blind Goat, Jinya, and Feges BBQ. In fact, Stuffed Belly is owned by Christine Ha, winner of season five of Masterchef. Parking wasn't an issue in the busy yet spacious complimentary lot around the shopping center. Ambiance (3/5): Stuffed Belly is more of a grab-and-go type spot. The reason? It's quite small. There are about five seats inside and one long picnic style seating area on the small patio. That's it. The restaurant looks nice, just tiny. Service (4.5/5): You order at the counter and they let you know when your order is ready. The ordering process was smooth and we got our food within a reasonable amount of time. While service isn't a big part of the experience, I didn't run into any issues. Drinks (N/A): I didn't order any beverages on this visit. Food (3/5): I went with the belly burger (their classic burger) and an order of the loaded tots. It was a mixed bag. I love a good smash burger, it's one of my favorite types of burgers. The ingredients are all quality. The problem? One issue is that it's a pretty small burger as you can tell from my picture. A kiddie burger of sorts. The loaded tots, on the other hand, were a generous portion. I have a weakness for loaded fries. As others have mentioned in their reviews, fries are not an option at Stuffed Belly. Tots only. I like tater tots too, but it is pretty bizarre for a burger spot to not have fries on the menu. The other issue I have is that both of my items (as well as what my mom ordered) was spicy. Take this with a grain of salt as I can only handle a little spice. Still, the menu offerings packed more of a punch than I expected. Which definitely impacted my enjoyment of the meal. If you like spicy, don't sweat it. If you don't, you're probably going to feel like I did. While Stuffed Belly underdelivered a bit for me, I did come in with high expectations. The Blind Goat is much better (though more expensive) in my book. Also keep in mind that Stuffed Belly closes pretty early on several days of the week... 8 p.m.
