This cute café is located inside Morongo Casino, so access is kinda complicated if you can't or don't want to walk. Parking is far and the place is located in the back of the Casino. The ambiance is really nice, it has a full bar, good coffee and full menu until midnight. What did we have? Shrimp Asian salad and California style eggs. I've been here many times while visiting Morongo with my family and have tried many of their meals and burgers, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious. The only thing I have found disappointing about this place is that on weekdays, when the main kitchen closes down, they don't have a ton of options on their menu and are really lacking options for those who are vegetarian. My mom herself is vegetarian and she was hoping to get a plant based burger one night we went in on a weekday and they didn't have it on the menu because for some reason it could only be made in the primary kitchen. I don't really understand that and was disappointed to hear that. But aside from that, it is a great restaurant with lots of options and reasonable prices. read more

This place is so-so. We were told that we would have a table in 20-30 minutes. It took 90 minutes to get a seat. The food is not great for the price. None of us particularly enjoyed any of the variety of dishes that were ordered. Specifically, the fish and chips were highlighted in yelp reviews, so we ordered those. The fish was very chewy, and the server said that the type of fish is "white" and can vary day to day. Ambience is loud and bright, like a mellow sports bar. We were happy that the smell of cigarettes didn't waft in, given that it's open to the casino, but we're not particularly impressed. read more

We had lunch here on our anniversary because we were in the area. It was... fine. My husband liked his club sandwich enough but the fish in my fish n' chips was very dry. Service was also very lacking. The place was nearly empty (it was a Wednesday) but the service was painfully slow and refills on drinks were hard to come by. Well they have a pretty wide variety of menu selections and the spaghetti meatballs are really good but the chili rellenos are out of this world!!!! They give you two humongous chili rellenos (I take one to go) with rice, beans and chips and the sauce over the chili rellenos are so delicious and authentic!!! The fish tacos are great and so are the Angus burger sliders with bacon they are absolutely delicious. Breakfast they have a Carnitas omelette that is out of this world. Don't be fooled by the casual atmosphere of Good Times Cafe at Morongo Casino Resort and Spa. This place has some seriously good grub. From mushroom pizza with truffle oil to crab Benedict to premium steaks, the food here is of high caliber. It's a great place to eat when at Morongo. Be warned: waits to be seated are long, especially on the weekends. Lines are long just to put your name on the wait list. That's what knocks them down from 5 to 4 stars. Plan accordingly; leave 10-15 minutes of time to get on the list, then go play slots or blackjack or browse the gift shop for 45 minutes. You need to plan that extra hour if you're here on the weekend. Worth it, though! Vast menu, great food. I particularly love the homemade mashed potatoes and baby carrots served with the fillet and grilled salmon. Excellent Cobb salad with delectable Bleu cheese. I did notice the manager greeting every table and asking how everything was except our table. I am not assuming anything though. Just something I noticed. We were seated right away , COVID seatings protocol observed. My best friend and I were a little late for their breakfast hour 7 am-11 am .We asked our waiter if they would still make breakfast. She says they still do and only a certain items they can accommodate. I had the build your own omelette $15.99 , since I opted for white eggs it's an increase of $1.29 more . my omelette cooked perfectly! Moist, not runny and not too dry. My meal includes hash browns and toasts, To substitute for pancakes it's $3.99 more. My girlfriend had the donut French toast and scrambled eggs. The French toasts looked beautifully plated , with fresh fruits and loads of whipped cream. French toasts were so good , with each bite with a combination of warm soft cinnamon sweet bread , creamy whipped cream and the cold tender juicy fruits together is sinful with each bite we took .. orgasmically goodness lol!!!!! I got the prime rib dinner and I can tell their mashed potato was home made and their prime rib was on-point. It wasn't bad but also wasn't the best which was main reason why I took one star off. Would recommend and would most likely come back! We got the Morongo punch, marguerita pizza, and prime rib dinner. I was pleasantly surprised at the prime rib because it was super juicy!! I ordered it medium rare and it came out to a perfect medium. I read other reviews to order one level more raw than your preferred and it came out delicious! My husband also agreed that it was a good prime rib compared to more expensive places we've had. Pizza was solid and quite large so it can be shared between two people easy. Morongo punch was good as well but nothing spectacular. Over all we had a good dinner and it didn't hurt the wallet as much as some other places. 4/5 read more

Tasted the same as Burger King impossible burger but priced higher. My bf said the jalapeno burger wasn't spicy by at all. The burger is alright. Never had an issue with good times cafe! I always love coming here with the kids it's great to have lots of different foods to choose from. Our favorite is the Cajun pasta ! The only down side is it can be very busy and wait times can be long which is a bummer. read more

Not bad for casino food the burger was just ok. For a spicy jalapeno one would think it would have some heat and flavor but I needed to add a bunch of hot sauce. We have been here, once as a family of 12, and once just the 2 of us, tonight, 2/14 Same thing with our food both times. Tonight, My wife ordered the beef dip, it mediocre, meat was tough and cold but she didn't complain, as they were busy. I ordered Prime rib and lobster. (roughly $55) When it came, the lobster and the mashed potatoes were cold. I sent it back. The waitress had me keep my prime rib to eat. I took 1 bite and the manager came with a "new" plate of mashed potatoes and a "new" lobster tail. One again ... it's so cold, it's frozen. I lost my appetite. I immediately took it to the same manager that served it to me, I made him touch it. Cold! Frozen! He never came over to say anything, afterwards. We told our waitress, we're done. No one from management ever had anything to say. Me.... as a previous asst manager for Morongo Cocos Restaurant.....back in the day. I would have found out what I can to make it right. Impressed! We had no idea this was in a casino. We just looked for a place that got good reviews and ended up here. There was something for everybody -- the prices are fantastic. I had what I thought was going to be a simple beet salad ($16) and I added steak to it ($8). I can eat. Delicious! It was great food for its price, the service was nice. Nicole is one of the best servers ever!!! The whole place was comfy and the tables weren't too close to each other where I like. For the Prime Rib Combo with Shrimp, the prime rib was delicious. The shrimp I wish was on the side so it was crunchy but it was unfortunately soggy. The vegetables need more cooking but it was okay, and the mash potatoes needed some more salt and pepper but it was nice and buttery. Overall - I'd come back! read more

First time staying at this hotel and had lunch at Good Times Cafe. Wonderful service staff - very polite and responsive. Had a 30 minute wait, but they texted us earlier than that for an open table for 4 people. It's super noisy in here as it's open air to the casino. It was really hard to carry a conversation without asking someone to repeat themselves. Serving sizes are pretty large. I ordered the steak and eggs with my steak cooked medium and scrambled eggs. There were also pancakes on the side, too. I think the other option was toast, but I wanted pancakes. The medium steak was a bit overcooked. Certainly needed the A1 steak sauce. I typically see medium cooked meats to be a little pink inside, but this was brown all the way through. That being said, the steak had good flavor. The eggs were cooked well - not runny or dry - and the serving was huge. It looked like 3-4 eggs. The side of pancake was just OK. The outside was a bit crispy and the butter and syrup didn't soak in, but again the flavor was good. I also had an endless carafe of coffee. All in all - a solid 3 stars for my food. Other people in my group had a salad, fish and chips, and an angus burger. All servings were large and tasty. Someone also ordered a margarita. It was $10.50 + $2 for upgraded tequila. They said it was too much ice and not enough drink. I would agree with that assessment. read more

I really wanna mention how Vicki was very helpful, attentive, efficient and friendly with us today and she made our dining experience extra special. I asked if I could try the clam chowder soup (soup of the day) and she brought it right away and so as the ranch we asked for. Yum, yum & yuuuuum. I should just leave at that but I won't. I am glad I chose this place to eat inside the casino. As there are many other choices, I am sure they are just as good. The wait time was under 10 minutes which is a plus already. Upon seating us, the server came out with a 1-2 minutes. At first I was not very happy where they sat us, which was a high top table somewhat nearby the kitchen, after a few minutes I'm glad they did. We ordered buffalo wings which were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of hot-ness. I also got the black & Bleu burger. This burger was soooo juicy and contained all the right flavors. If you're a fan of sweet potato fries, this is a must!!! The corn chowder was super tasty, if soups are your thing. The service was quick, server was really helpful and informative. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in the area. Oh and the thing about sitting next to the kitchen, it was awesome because I drooled over almost every dish that brought out the wait staff. We've had so much fun at Good Times Cafe, that we came back a 2nd consecutive night! Wonderful food (prime rib and salmon were the best for sure, and the veggies). The atmosphere was fun and friendly, except server Robin, she was way more than wonderful...sassy, silly fun, accurate and attentive! This has been a great place for a large group, Robin did a great job with our group too (a difficult endeavor). Cooks are very good, food was flavorful, healthy and presented very appetizing.
