I gave it two stars because the hamburger was decent. However, they messed up our first (and last) large order for the office by leaving out one whole meal. The fries were average at best, they messed up special instructions (no lettuce, etc.), and the hamburger was just okay. Would not use again for our Firm. read more

Great place for a burger in Georgetown!! Burger was amazing, milkshake was fantastic, and fries were solid. Food was ready quick, and the outdoor seating was a nice experience. Would definitely recommend!! read more

I was craving a burger and I've always pass by this spot whenever I'm in Georgetown so I thought to give it a try today. Honestly? It was really good and it definitely hit the spot. For fast casual burgers this is a little more upscale than five guys and you feel that in the price point. The quality of the food is very high and the food delivered on expectations. It's a great option for something quick in Georgetown but don't expect to be blown away. read more

The core of this place is burgers and fries, and I thought that both were good! The music is a bit loud and the narrow, steep staircase that you have to navigate with your food to reach the dining area is ridiculous! The food was delivered hot and quick. read more

We stumbled upon this place which is right across Georgetown cupcakes. We couldnt get the cupcakes (they sold out)..but this place made up for it! Dine in/out : They are open for patio seating (limited) and have few tables upstairs (2nd floor). COVID : Sanitizer provided, staff are masked at all times. Parking: Street Food: They are famous for their burgers. They also have really good milk shakes and fries. Even though they had decent lines, order was fast and good service. Decent prices! They do charge some amount for covid. DC thing? (Not sure) Only cons is, i wouldnt recommend using their washrooms upstairs. Not clean at all. read more

Mediocre burger, too much bread. Burnt fries. In and out is far better. DC doesn't seem to do burgers well.

I LOVE burgers and this place was super satiating. My first time here I ordered a double cheese burger without knowing how thick (and juicy) the patties were. My burger was huge and delicious. The fries are like Five Guys fries and I love how they have about 8 different sauces at the sauce station. Their milkshakes arent bad but could be a tad bit more sweetened or flavorful. Over all, this place was delicious and I went back again to get the same order the next day lol read more

Came here for a gathering. So we are not just looking for food but a great place to talk and gather. This place is not bad for that. (And that earn that an extra star already) Was here on a Saturday night, not overly crowded. Of course parking anywhere near by is bad (to incredibly expensive) I ordered the Colletti smokehouse burger. It was dry. Very dry. The pattie is so dry and well done. (They never ask me how I would like the pattie be done, if they ever asked me, I would say please under cook the pattie). The whole burger is dry. The bacon is tough. My overall impression is the burger is: it's overrated. I had a lot of burgers better than this one. I will only give their food 2 stars (the last star for seating). read more

Not the best but not the worst. They have a wide variety of burger options along with chicken sandwiches. The service is pretty quick, you order at the register and then you get a buzzer that tells you when the order is ready. There's seating upstairs and outside - it's a casual diner vibe. I got the Spike's Sunnyside it was good but not something I'd go back to get. I also got a side of fries and I wasn't a fan. Everything is sold separately. read more

Burger and fries were delicious! Got the Obama burger minus cheese. The grilled onions made the burger. It was the perfect size. Juicy, tasty. Definitely recommend these burgers. The rosemary fries were good, lots of seasoning. Maybe a tad too much for my taste. Fries were a bit greasy too but still hot and delish. Don't miss out on the heat burger and fries! read more

The food was very much giving five guys! The atmosphere was giving new DC, which was good! I loved where it was and the aesthetic was beautiful. Now, would I eat here again? No , not with all that DC has to offer.. I ordered the Farm Cheeseburger and my husband got a grilled cheese burger? I said that because it was grilled cheese in a burger bun... it looked like school lunch but my husband said it tasted "fine" , but the look of it made it taste less appetizing. Overall the service was great! The food was C+ , and I'm happy I ate here! read more

Okay, I came here for the burgers and fries after reading the reviews but that sauce bar though?! They had sauces of Mango, Chipotle, Sriracha, Old Bay and a few others. This definitely added to the experience and the Sriracha one was our favorite with the mango coming second. The fries were sooo good, we got the regular size as two of us were sharing and it was plenty. I don't remember the name of the burger I got but it was the one with the fried egg, bacon, cheese and sauce. It was delicious and I loved the bread that they used. I also ordered a cookies and cream, mini milkshake which was good but the cashier never asked us if we wanted whipped cream or not she just put it on, which we didn't want it and the milkshake itself was very thick. They have plenty of seating upstairs but you have to order downstairs & bring it up. I think they should include a sauce bar upstairs as they have the space & if you want something different or more you have to run downstairs. Minor things. Overall, pretty good. I would go back. read more

I was craving burgers realllyyyy bad and sadly DC's burger scene is really lacking. I've been to Good Stuff in the past for their rosemary fries which were really underwhelming, but I decided I'd try their burgers this time. Their phone lines were down/no one picking up but we decided to drive by anyway and see if they were open. Luckily they were! I loved their Spike's Sunnyside burger (with egg!). My husband loved the Prez Obama burger with bacon + caramelized onions. We got the regular fries which were just OK. Pricing was fair and the burgers were ready in about 10 minutes. We did pick up because parking here is really tough. I think overall it's a solid spot for good burgers and I would recommend it. I am looking forward to eating here again and trying their milkshakes also! read more

We had the burger and fries lunch deal. $17 is expensive for what you get. The burger was basic and the fries were super greasy.

Oh my god....The splurge was worth every bite! I got that Prez Obama burger and was in heaven. It is a little sweeter bc of the grilled onion but oh so good. My husband got the double patty melt and was so satisfied. He claims his burger was better than mine but I say it's a draw. Both were very very good and had their own flare of flavors. I also got the special thyme and rosemary fries. Definitely worth it! Next time I will make it a point to try their milkshake and one of the other specialty burgers they have to offer! Food: farmers hamburgers, fries and Caesar salad. My hubby and daughter liked their hamburgers. I thought the fries were limp and oily. My salad was way too salty with the bacon and capers, too much dressing and the ratio of cheese to lettuce was equal so it hardly felt like a salad. It was gross. I barely ate half. It was not "good stuff". Cornbread was like a pound cake and too sweet. Ambiance: order on the first floor and they give you a buzzer. Seating on the 2nd floor up lots of stairs. Communal seating upstairs. Bathroom: one unisex had no soap and no toilet paper! Ugh! Location: I only picked this place because it was a simple lunch near my real destination- Georgetown Cupcakes across the street. Not sure what the hype is. Habit Burger and Smashburger are way better. read more

They were a little rough when they first opened, but very good now. Definitely on the greasy side but the flavors are all good!

Good stuff eatery is a solid and reasonably priced burger-spot! They also offer delicious fries, and a variety of shakes. Across the Covid19 pandemic, I have been ordering them via home delivery, and they have been very reliable in this respect. Pros: - Convenient location: located in the heart of Georgetown, this is an easy spot to access by foot or by Uber. But super close to a metro, but still pretty easy to reach. Parking in Georgetown can be tough but that's to be expected. - Tasty food: Everything that I have tried here has been great. I find the veggie burger option, which is really a fried breaded tomato with seasoning, absolutely amazing. It really hits the spot. I also think that their fries are delicious. - Delicious shakes: I'm a sucker for a good milkshake, and I was not disappointed here. Additionally they offer a root beer floats, which is another guilty pleasure of mine - Reasonable prices: The prices are very reasonable, especially in such a pretty area of DC. For a veggie burger, fries, and a shake, I spend typically a little under 20 bucks. - Quick delivery: I have ordered from good stuff eatery many times on Uber eats, and the service is always very quick and accurate. I feel that they do a really good job on delivery in the Covid era. - Cons: Portion sizes: The size of their burgers are not overwhelming, which is nice because you aren't left feeling disgusting after finishing one. However, if you are really hungry, you might not be totally full after eating just one burger here. If you are looking for a large burger, you can find bigger burgers elsewhere . read more

I went to Good Stuff Eatery for dinner and got a Coletti's Smokehouse Burger and a Toasted Marshmallow shake. Upon unwrapping the burger, it appeared smaller than I expected, but I soon realized that it was packed full of tasty ingredients (bacon, cheddar, onion rings, and BBQ sauce on top of the beef patty). This restaurant prides itself on its fresh ingredients and it did seem like the ingredients were pretty fresh. Though the was definitely good, I can't say that it is much better than some other burgers from certain chains such as Shake Shack (which I would consider to be similar overall to this restaurant). The Toasted Marshmallow shake had a very strong Toasted marshmallow flavor, as expected. It was a little too sweet for my taste, but enjoyable nonetheless. There was an actual toasted marshmallow in the shake, which was a nice touch. I ate here on a weekend night, and the restaurant was super busy. There is seating on the upstairs level, but it was almost entirely full. The service speed was pretty quick. Supposedly, much of the decor is recycled (ex: wooden planks from old barns), which is interesting. Overall, Good Stuff Eatery definitely lives up to its name of providing good burgers and shakes. However, the fact that there isn't anything that special about it compared to other above-average burger places like Shake Shack or Five Guys keeps its rating at 4 stars. read more

I am in DC rushing from an appointment to catch a flight and I almost run into to a guy coming out of 'Good Stuff Eatery." I smell the food, I haven't eaten, then I glance down to learn they have a lunch bag special. The ambiance is nice, kinda modern, pretty standard but the drinks and other food options are not the standard fare- but I have to run. So, Faced with lunch in the airport or grabbing lunch here, I take the chance order the lunch bag special, it comes piping hot I throw it into my bag and I rush off to the airport. When I arrive a DCA I learn my flight is delayed so I check my bag and sit down to eat this mystery meal. The bag, now greasy, is slightly warm. The burger is meaty and delicious, paired with a soft bun, and the right toppings with cheese. The fries were no longer piping hot due to my commute, but were delicious, cut with some skin from the potatoes on the fries, and salted just right. I can't wait to get back to DC to properly enjoy all this establishment offers- because their lunch bag special made a great first impression. read more

I've had Good Stuff Eatery a few times now. It's a small chain of burger restaurants owned by Chef Spike Mendelsohn, known for his time on Top Chef. Judging from my star rating, you might think I don't like Good Stuff but that's not true. It's just that burgers are my thing, that one thing that I will always love and eat no matter what. I got the Prez Obama Burger - Applewood smoked bacon, onion marmalade, Roquefort cheese, horseradish mayo. It was good, but the burger wasn't cooked medium rare like I wanted and was kinda dryer than I wanted. They do have very good milkshakes, and it's a pretty cool, trendy, spot. read more

Come here for a homemade experience as everything is made in house and is farm fresh. It's the place to be if you want a meal in about ten minutes. I love the shroom burger-it comes with muenster & cheddar stuffed portobello that is flash fried with panko crumbs, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, pickle and good stuff sauce. I wish the burger was a bit larger. It's also priced the same as other burgers that may be more substantial and have more expensive ingredients so that didn't make as much sense to me. The shroom burger is very good but I usually have an urge to go back and order something else. Maybe I just have a huge appetite. There's a variety of unlimited sauces to complement your fries or burger and these sauces may add more flavor that you may be missing. I can tell the place is very popular since it can become a bit disheveled after 4 or 5 pm but it's also super casual so I can't have such high expectations. The trash area usually piles up and we tend to wipe the surfaces of the table we're sitting at. On the bright side, you can enjoy a beer and quality meal while watching the game on the big screen tv upstairs. There's booths and large tables available for large groups. The ambiance is meant to bring you back to the old timey feeling. read more

I got the Farmhouse bacon cheese burger with a small fry and tried several of their flavored mayos and OMG everything was so damn good. I have also heard that their milkshakes are delicious. The burger was ok but the main problem is a rat. I was eating in the second floor when two rats cross the floors. I stoped eating and stand up and I when to tell the workers before I walked away. I was thinking to ask for a refund but I do t want to be close to that place read more

Good Stuff Eatery is the quintessential burger, fries, and shake place. If you want are craving that delicious trio, don't go elsewhere. Their burgers are a great size without being overwhelming. They won't fall apart or explode because of their massive size, and at the same time, you won't finish one feeling disgustingly full. They have a great meat-to-bun ratio, and they are a perfectly manageable size without being too small. The "Prez Obama Burger" (5/5): The 44th President's go-to burger does not disappoint. I recommend this iconic burger to any first-timer looking to experience what the former Commander in Chief famously ate throughout his presidency, despite the wishes of the First Lady. I get mine with ketchup, but they have several other delicious sauces, including siracha mayo and mango. Spike's Village Snack Fry (5/5): Their fries are already delicious, but when you coat them with French Thyme, Rosemary, and Sea Salt, they go to another level that you can't find at any other fast-food burger place! The portion is significant enough for two people to split comfortably. Toasted Marshmallow Shake (5/5): This is what really sets Good Stuff Eatery apart. Their shakes are on another level. The Toasted Marshmallow Shake really does take like a delicious cooked marshmallow. I don't know how they manage to replicate the flavors so perfectly, but they do. Coming here and not getting one of their specialty shakes is an unfortunate mistake. It's worth the cost and the calories! As I said before, Good Stuff Eatery is the place to go for an American burger with a side of fries and a shake. If you are in the nation's capital, craving the countries favorite food, make your way to one of their four locations! read more
