Went to them for a car issue and home lock issue. Very helpful, fast and reasonably priced. It was great to find a solid store to walk into after seeing ao many spammed search results. Would definitely go back. read more

Great service at a fair price. We needed a replacement "original" Toyota key. Old key was too worn down to make an accurate copy so locksmith had create a new key (w/o using old key as a template) that fit perfectly into ignition, door, and trunk. Essentially it was a sort of factory replacement. Bottom line, these guys made a perfect replacement key that worked without any problems. The teeth on the new key looked just like the my original key looked like when the car was first purchased about 10 years ago. As an added touch of "extra" customer service, they offered us a bottle of chilled water (perfect for the hot weather we were experiencing) and they applied graphite powder (pro lock lubricant) to all of the car locks. Will definitely retun here next time the need arises. read more

Excellent service and fair prices. They were very friendly and professional. Though I hope to never again lose a key with a transponder chip in it, if I did, I'd go straight back here! read more

The professionalism of the rep. from here stood out to me. My cousin & I locked ourselves out of the house last week... we called Good Lock & Key because there was a directory in their driveway and we found their number in it. They arrived in a little less than 20 minutes and we were inside in no time. The man was SO professional and did not make any sarcastic comments on our silly move. Thanks again! read more

Fast, courteous, reasonably-priced. They installed new locks and did re-keying same-day with no appointment. Highly recommend.

Friendly reliable service. They were upfront about the cost and made room in their schedule to accommodate my availability even though I was kinda far from where they are located. read more

When your two year old locks himself in the bathroom of your rental, this is the guy to call. Mike saw the urgency and came fast and was determined to get my son out of this Fort Knox of a bathroom. At the moment Mike crawled through the window (he magically unlocked) and handed me my kid he probably could have gouged me. I felt he was merciful with the price--very reasonable. read more

It was the room my mom was staying in and we needed to get it resolved quickly since her medicine was locked in the room. Mike came out quickly, unlocked the door with a few swift maneuvers and we were in! He also replaced the lock. Time from when we called to when he left was less than an hour. Would definitely call again! read more

I contacted a number of locksmiths to have a duplicate/replacement key with an immobilizer built in made for my Honda. Milad responded quickly and had the best price. I saved a bunch over the dealership prices. Key was made in less than 15 min. Be sure to bring vehicle and all other keys for reprogramming if you are in a similar situation as old keys will no longer work to start the ignition unless reprogrammed at same time. read more

Mike came to rescue on a Sunday afternoon when I was running errands crazily. The lock was broken and I can't use a key to unlock the door. He came quickly and climbed in the house through a small window to open the door from inside. He skillfully replaced the lock and charged reasonably. He made sure the new keys work fine and that I know how the new lock works before he left. Thank you very much, Mike! You keep me go on my plans. read more

Mike and his family were very helpful. I had called a previous locksmith from another business that flaked on me just an hour before I had to leave to work. He was very kind and very helpful, and he even supplied me with an extra key. Great family owned business. I highly recommend them! read more

This review is long overdue, but I just realized today that I owed it to the awesome owner of the shop, Ali, to leave this review for them. The thing is, my car key got stuck in the ignition a few months back, and I towed the car to the mechanic. I asked around and was told that it would cost me a few hundred bucks ($400-500) to fix the ignition (replace it). So very frustrated, as a last shot, I randomly called the locksmith that was nearest to the mechanic shop where my car was parked, and Ali and his colleagues arrived at the location within 10 minutes, and fixed the issue in less than a minute. What could have cost me $500 in a couple of days was fixed for 20-30 bucks in less than a minute. So you can imagine how happy I was that I did not rely on the advice of those mechanics, and was fortunate enough that I found this shop. Ali and his colleague were both very professional, kind, and knowledgable, and could fix the issue very fast. So I will be bringing my business to them in future, and am so proud to give them my highest recommendation. read more

The GL showed up 10 minutes after the call. They changed locks for both my front and back door, and I bought another lock for my driveway gate. The service was quick and professional. The temperature was at record high that day in Pasadena, but that did not stop the guy drive back to his shop several times to get the products for me. read more

This store is reputable as my father and I have used their services for over 10-years. They recently upgraded their storefront to accommodate better inventory! I came in today, in need of a replacement key for my 2003 Honda Shadow 750 A.C.E. motorcycle, and the owner was able to research the fitment based on the make and model of my motorcycle. Their service is fast, friendly, and trustworthy! I look forward to continuing doing business with them! read more

Colorado Blvd, Pasadena CA 91107 The name speaks for itself. Meet the owner/prorietor ...Mike who's always at your service 24 hours a day. He is within your reach and very realiable especially during emergency service. Me and my good friend initially use his service one time early morning in summer of 2010 after being locked out of the apartment in Pasadena After we made the call, he was there at no time. Fortunately, he was located in the vicinity. He appeared to be truly modest and professional and really knows what he is doing. He was carrying what seemed to be rather conventional tool to open the door from the outside. He did not drill or damage the door but he simply inserted the wire from underneath the tiny space from the floor and whoola!!! The door is OPEN. It's like magic! Made me wonder if he is some sort of Magician or like Harry Houdini. Well, not to imposed that he uses conventional tool. Please don't get me wrong. The guy have really sophisticated tool for his job. The truth is...Mike is truly dependable and reputable locksmith. His price is also fair or reasonable. Having to work for a storage company that often deal with tenants losing keys..Mike and his son always and with no fail provide the fastest service. To see is to believe. I was having a very BAD day when I locked my keys inside my Condo (including my car key). My brother lost his car key at a movie theater. We were stranded in the parking lot and called Mahmood/Mike in desperation. He arrived within 20 minutes and made a duplicate key in his van within half an hour (after taking apart the car door handle on the passenger side to find the serial number). That was amazing! He even offered to make a free "original" key using the computer at his store in Pasadena if we choose to stop by later. The key cutting machine in his van needs to be manually adjusted, so it is not as precise. The key he made could not open the passenger door, but it could start the engine, open the driver door and the trunk, so we were content. Mike felt amiable and sincere to me. Both my brother and I enjoyed chatting with him. I don't understand why some people give him such bad reviews. I suspect it may be due to miscommunication, since Mike is Persian and does not express himself well in English. He also tried to peddle his restaurant next door and commented how all Chinese people like Persian food. However, I didn't see that as being shady or dishonest. After all, the man is trying to make a living, and we always have the choice of not to go. But I think I will, because I am a Chinese who likes Persian food :-) I will definitely recommend Good Lock & Key to all my friends. More importantly, I need to start hiding a spare key under my car so that this will never happen to me again! Review Update on 12/28/15: I went to Mike's store in Pasadena today. As promised, he used the digital (more advanced) key cutting machine in the store to generate a master key for me for free. This new key can open all my car doors, including the passenger side door. It is perfect! I am a happy customer read more
