This coffee chain is from Calgary, Alberta, starting in 1982, starting as a bakery, and eventually expanding into coffee in 1991. It is now a cafe selling hot and cold drinks (including smoothies), pastries, and savoury food. This is the 5th location in Ontario (2nd in Toronto). There are now 50+ locations in Canada.
They soft-opened on 2024-02-14 and grand-opened on 2024-02-22.
I ordered the Peach & Honey Smoothie (medium $5.75). It was made with peach syrup, not pureed peach; a little disappointing. It was sweet, as expected. I assume there is no customization of sweetness level.
I also ordered a Classic Steak Panini ($9.95). They have an oven to heat up sandwiches. This panini is really good! It is made with shaved steak & cheddar, spinach, tomatoes, and onions, grilled on a ciabatta.
The customer service was courteous and fast.
There is indoor table and counter seating. There is also outdoor seating during warmer weather. There is easy-listening music playing in the background.
They serve ethically source coffee and roasted in Oakville for the entire Canadian operation. Their food is made fresh every day.
They are moving towards all their containers being compostable and recyclable.
They have a loyalty program.
There is free WiFi. The cafe is wheelchair accessible. There are two gender-neutral washrooms, one of which is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots.
