Fish and Beef Balls in HK Curry Sauce
Cindy L.

Located conveniently in Fairview Mall close to the T&T entrance. Wait time is reasonable and easy system where you add yourself to the waitlist. This is your typical HK Style cafe with a lot of options including rice, noodles and baked casserole dishes as well. If you're seated inside the restaurant there's a QR code where you can order food. Quick and efficient. Ordered the Rice with seafood and creamy sauce and portion was very generous! Fish and beef balls with curry sauce is a great appetizer or snack - perfect for sharing! Lemon tea was disappointing and probably would not order again. Overall, food was consistent in the many times I've dined here and service is average at best. It is better when seated inside but outside, server's were less attentive. Noise wise, it's located in a mall so during busy times it can get loud. Definitely worth checking out if in the area! 3.5/5 stars

F11. Baked Curry Beef Brisket + Black Pepper Beef Ribs / 焗牛魔王
Kenny L.

This Hong Kong café has a large menu with all the usual HK-style staples baked rice dishes, noodle soups, milk tea, and snacks. There's lots of seating available, and it's connected directly to the mall (no separate street entrance), which makes it convenient if you're already shopping. It is pretty loud in there since its attached to the mall. The food was typical and decent quality -- nothing to rave about. It is comfort food and fills you up. Service was okay, though I did have to ask for water several times, and my order took longer than expected until I learned that baked items take extra time to prepare. Overall, it was an okay experience. I'd probably come back if I was already at the mall, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

Located inside a shopping mall, this Hong Kong cafe is my favorite in Toronto. I've been here a few times, and ordered a variety of items from the menu. Every dish I've ordered has been delicious, and so I'll keep coming back. What's also nice is that I've never had to wait for a seat, which is not a common experience for other HK cafes in the area. It's definitely worth a visit!

tomato bisque soup noodle w/ scrambled egg and fried pork chop

My gf and I had just finished walking around Fairview and as it was around dinner time, decided to hop in to this Good Catch location. It's pretty much identical to the one on Enterprise Blvd in Markham. The only reason I'm keeping my rating at a 4 stars is the baked curry beef brisket rice (which comes w/ a fried rice base) and the HK milk tea. The curry has a lot of flavour and there's a quite a bit of meat running through the dish. The brisket is always tender. I haven't received tough meat yet, thank God. We tried something new and ordered the tomato bisque noodle soup w/ scrambled egg which came with our choice of protein. We opted for fried pork chop. This broth really wasn't that great. It was too sweet. To each their own ofc. Maybe some folks prefer their tomato broth a lil more on the sweet side, but both my gf and I prefer ours a lot more savoury and slightly more acidic. The scrambled egg was cooked well. Didn't really care for the fried enoki mushrooms scattered on the edge. Oh yea, they have cutlet pork chop and then fried pork chop listed under it. They should just call the cutlet one "deep fried pork cutlet" and the 2nd item "pan fried pork chop" as I find that to be confusing for customers. Also, we ordered the pan fried option but it ended up still being breaded??? LOL so that was interesting. Would definitely skip the tomato broth noodles next time and try something else. Service is not as cheerful as the wait staff at the Markham location yet they seem to know what they're doing more than their counterparts.

Baked Black Pepper Sauce Chicken Steak on Rice. Cold Lemon Tea.

This is a Cha Chaan Teng (HK Cafe) located in Fairview Mall. There's ample seating inside and outside. Order: Baked Black Pepper Chicken Steak with Cold Lemon Tea. Good: rice slightly undercooked (the best), good amount of melted cheese, juicy chicken steak, very peppery sauce. Lemon Tea was average. The only knock for me was that the sauce was a bit sweet for my taste. Overall it was a good meal and I'd come back.

Curry Brisket Beef, good but too oily.

Tucked away in Fairview Mall is this Hong Kong style western food joint. Met up here with a few friends for a quick bite. First off, if you are not sure where in the mall it is (like me) it will be tricky to find, but its directly across the T&T on the lower level. Restaurant was not busy but we were sitting on the "patio" section in the mall. I ordered the curry beef brisket with a drink. The curry had beef brisket with rice. It had a good curry flavour but the sauce was on the oily side. I wasn't a fan of the meat, it was pretty fatty and grissly. My instictint was just to order just curry beef but the server recommended the brisket out of the two. the meal came with a drink as part of the dinner special, but you can order just the meal on its own. I got the HK style milk tea which was good. If I had to choose, I would probably choose Phenonix (Steeles/404) over this place for HK style western food but for what it was it was ok. I woul dcome back to try another dish to see but I won't rush back *3.5

First choice to have bbq pork with egg with pork oil and rice. It is ok and can be better. It's a great location across t&t. Service is good and efficient. It is a nicely decorated restaurant. Good for family to join. Individual washroom . As it is in Fairview mall, lots of parking and near subway exit

We came here when we stopped by at Fairview mall. The place is fairly large for a restaurant inside the mall. The food was so authentic and yummy. We enjoyed every bite of it. Their service was super quick too. One thing I do suggest is getting the cold hk milk tea over the hot hk milk tea. It tasted better cold.

Had a great time here. Got the curry beef with rice and baked pork tomato with cheese. The entree came with a free drink of choice and was pretty affordable. I think around $15-17 for most items. The tomato sauce is on the sweeter side but I enjoyed the pork. Would recommend and will come back

Prawn and Truffle Scrambled Eggs on Rice (left), HK Style Curry with Veggies, Egg, and Spaghetti noodles (middle), and HK Milk Teas (right)

My friend (who used to live in Hong Kong) picked this place to meet for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I have not heard of this place before, so I was looking forward to catching up with my friend and trying their dishes. Once we entered, we were greeted warmly by one of the staff. As we wanted to have a quieter experience, we asked for the seating at the back (behind a long panel). Our waiter was a fiendly young man who welcomed us and gave us the menu. After a few minutes, we were ready and we ordered two items: Prawn and Truffle Scrambled Eggs on Rice and Hong Kong Style Curry with Vegetables and Egg (replaced rice with spaghetti noodles). We were informed that each order comes with a drink of choice, so both of us ordered Hong Kong Milk Tea (hot). We shared our orders- each dish was delicious. The Hong Kong Milk Tea (hot) was fresh but it was a bit too bitter. I usually drink my tea bitter, but this milk tea was a bit too stong for me. Despite this, we enjoyed our meal. During our meal, our waiter came by a few times to check-in on us. He made sure that our cold water was filled, there were enough napkins, and to make sure that we were enjoying our meal. Friendly service, delicious food, and good location! A tasty way to begin your new year! Tip: - This place gets busy fast, so show up early (a few minutes before it opens at 11 a.m. or around 11:30 a.m.) to make sure that you don't wait in line for lunch.

We've been to other locations but first time at this mall location. When you enter the address to the store from yelp, it brings you to the mall entrance instead of the restaurant. The closest parking is actually near the T&T market side. When you enter, there are a number of inside restaurants. The food is convenient when you order through the app. The Portuguese chicken rice don't have as much coconut flavor as I've liked. The peppercorn steak was very salty and saucy. I wish they had a choice to rave sauce on the side. The pineapple bun is always spot on although probably doesn't need the whole 10g of butter slice ( though it's pretty much expected in HK style). The drinks were spot on HK style milk tea

SUPER GOOD food here. The pineapple bun with egg snd satayed beef was decent, but the porkchop with curry over rice was fantastic. That dish has been the best dish I've eaten in Toronto so far. Service was great. Very polite and helpful staff!

Baked beef tongue rice
Cin C.

I have a soft spot for HK cafes as it means comfort food in quantity and great milk teas that can wake you up with no problems. I had my favourite dish for dinner, the baked beef tongue with rice which came with an included hot or cold milk tea. The dish was really good, hot and comforting with large slabs of tongue under the baked sauce. There was one beef peice that was too chewy and inedible but everything thing else was good. Really good milk teas. Will definitely be back!

I liked the toppings though having an option of heat level would have been nice. Service was so so. The host greeted us and when we asked for a table along the back she very reluctantly gave us one saying they are saved for the dinner rush. We were there at 6:30pm so would think we are part of that "rush". When we left an hour later there were only a few her diners and two single diners were given Seats along the wall. So much for that dinner rush. Also no one ever came to check on us. Had to flag down for anything even the check. Though servers were grouped together on the side talking most of the time. Though the food is good, the service makes me wary of returning.

Sansotei Ramen Review…read more Order: Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen Ambience: Sansotei at union station is more like a quick takeout /food court ramen spot than a sit-down restaurant. It's great if you're grabbing something fast, but the seating area wasn't the cleanest and I had to look around for a table that had been wiped down, which wasn't ideal if I am paying 21$ for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Food: I tried the black tonkotsu ramen and it was definitely rich and filling. I liked that you can choose between thick or thin noodles, which is a nice touch. That said, the broth was a bit too rich and salty for my taste and could use something to balance it out, maybe an order or Diet Coke. The meat was good but not as tender as I would like. Sides and Pairing Tip: I'd recommend getting a side of gyoza or even a Diet Coke to help cut through how rich, heavy and salty the ramen feels. Value for Money: It's a good option for a quick meal, but it does feel a little expensive for the experience you're getting for that price. Overall: Great for a fast ramen fix when you're on the go, but maybe not the best choice if you're looking for a more comfortable dine-in experience, or more value for money. 3/5

The weather in Toronto this week has been in the 20's and 30's! The restaurant does serve the dodgers when they are in town! If it's good enough for them... I ordered a Canadian whiskey to start off. It was very nice and smooth. I think it was a Sleeman and sons? Not positive but I really liked it! Then the food. I ordered the first roll from every section. There were some repeats which he advised me would happen but I didn't mind! The sushi was so tender and had great flavor. My husband ordered the ribeye steak and that was really really good. I would order that definitely next time and come here again!

I don't usually go for high-end sushi restaurants, but Miku has been on my list for a while, so I was genuinely excited to finally check it out. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an office building, but the moment you step inside the restaurant, everything changes. You go from bright, corporate lighting to a moody, romantic space with soft, dim lighting and a refined, intimate ambiance... it truly feels like entering a different world. Bonus points for the complimentary coat check, which is a huge win during winter when everyone is lugging around massive puffer jackets. We were seated in plush, velvety sofa booths near the bar, with a view of the street, which felt both cozy and upscale. Shoutout to our server, Shintaro, who was phenomenal with his warm, attentive, and energetic service, which made the whole experience even better. We started with drinks: my coworkers ordered sake flights, while I went with their signature cocktail, the kumquat cosmo. It was sweet and citrusy, and exactly what I needed on a Tuesday night after work. For appetizers, we all chose the sushi and sashimi selection, which included 9 pieces of chef-selected sashimi, chef-selected nigiri, and aburi oshi sushi. This was chef's kiss. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the sushi and nigiri were perfectly seasoned and sauced, so that we didn't even need soy sauce (though they do have a lovely house-made sweet soy sauce). I ordered the Red Wave Roll just to use their house-made sweet soy sauce... and wow. I've never had sushi that didn't fall apart after biting into it For my main, I went with the roast black cod. It was cooked beautifully, with a tender, slightly chewy texture that was rich but not overwhelming. For dessert, I went with their famously loved green tea opera. It's a small green tea sponge cake layered with matcha buttercream, red bean cream, and a hazelnut wafer crust, paired with a rich, velvety matcha ice cream on the side. Balanced, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, Miku lived up to (and honestly exceeded) the hype. Incredible food, top-notch service, and a beautiful atmosphere.
