Worthy Burger is definitely worth a visit! I ordered the Worthy Burger which was delicious. It…read morecomes with a size of fries for salad. I ended up getting the side salad which was also really delicious - baby lettuce with cucumbers, pumpkin seeds, cranberries with a vinaigrette dressing. This restaurant is pretty casual - you place your order at the bar and find seating anywhere inside. The kids meals were also a sufficient portion of food. Their truffle fries were excellent!

The town is also a bucket list destination for fans of Gilmore Girls. We were hungry and looking for a late lunch. There are a handful options in town, and we chose Worthy Burger! It was a crazy hot day (90+) so we decided to eat inside. There was a hostess station outside, but we assumed it was for the outside seating area so by-passed it. Oops - apparently we should have started there. Sorry, we now know for next time. The indoor space is rustic and quaint. The food and drink menus are chalkboards. I like the vibe here. You order at the register, and when your food is ready they bring it to you. I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger and my wife had the signature Worthy Burger. Both burgers were tasty. I washed mine down with 85 Bears by Big Tree Brewing. Coach Ditka would agree - this beer is worthy of the greatest football team ever! Service is hard-working and friendly. If you are in the area and looking for a burger worthy of your time and money ... you might want to give Worthy Burger a try.

Dinner Service was excellent and Loretta gets a shout out for her tableside manner. Manager on duty also gets a call out for accommodating my special request to slice and serve the ciabatta rolls we had just made earlier that day at King Arthur Flour. The ambiance was great, it's just sad that the food, every item we ordered whether a pasta or a short rib or a fish, were all just meh. and an expensive meh. Brunch I had higher hopes for brunch the next day given my excellent experience the last time we were in town. Should have stuck with what we ordered the last time (lobster eggs benedict, pancake, frittata, day in milan chicken sandwich). This time we ventured out and ordered the recommended duck hash which was just a bit of a mess, greasy, and not that tasty. The Day in Milan chicken sandwich was still amazing and amazingly messy to eat and the fries excellent - 5/5. But overall, most of the food we had a Pine this time was a miss.

Well marked for people with allergies. Great staff. Great drinks (even mocktails). Here's my problem. The menu changes and the food isn't consistently great. Some dishes are, some miss the mark. Over or under cooked. Plated in a challenging way. Something listed in the description of a dish is manipulated in a way that you think it's missing from the dish. Things like that. I think they don't test their dishes enough before putting them on the menu, or it may also depend on who's in the kitchen. So it's not my FIRST choice of places in the area. But, it still is one of the best places in the area.

I ordered the veggie burger with a gluten-free bun, and the bun was toasted perfectly. The waitress also proactively mentioned that while the fries are not made with gluten ingredients, they are cross contaminated, which I really appreciated. Because of that, I switched to a side salad with balsamic dressing instead. All the salad dressings are all gluten free, and there were several other gluten-free options on the menu. For dessert, I got a gluten-free and vegan carrot cake slice. The atmosphere inside was cozy and had a brewery-like, outdoorsy feel. Overall, it was a really comfortable and stress free dining experience, especially as someone who is gluten-free and vegetarian.

I've had a couple burgers that didn't quite hit for me, but overall they're very solid. The cowboy burger with candied jalapeños is a standout and my recommendation. And very importantly, they actually cook the burger how you order it! The wait can get long, so come prepared. They do have an online waitlist, which helped a lot on my last visit. Service can be a little slow, but friendly. And the vibes are relaxed and perfect for unwinding after a hike.
