The waitress responded that it wasn't set, and the owner said she would clean a booth on the other side. From this point on, the owners demeanor noticeably shifted to one of irritation. As we waited, the owner made a pointed remark to the waitress in our clear earshot: "Don't let anyone treat you that way." This was both unprofessional and shocking, especially since we had not treated anyone any type of way. Once seated, we simply ordered a coffee and a water--using "please" and "thank you"--but the tension did not let up. While retrieving our drinks, the owner continued talking about us to the waitress, who was visibly looking in our direction. My father, who is hard of hearing, was fortunately unaware of the escalating commentary. However, I could not ignore it. When the owner returned with our drinks, I calmly asked if there was a problem with us requesting a booth. Instead of clarifying professionally, she leaned into my father's face and accused him of being rude, listing off excuses about seating processes, staffing, and previous customers. At this point, we decided to leave, saying only, "Alright, let's go." In response, the owner loudly told us to "leave" and "get out" in front of the entire dining room. This experience was embarrassing, unprovoked, and unacceptable. I've supported both of these establishments for years, but I will not be returning. To fellow diners: BEWARE. No one deserves to be treated this way--especially not over a simple seating request.

I took a seat up at the bar for prompt service. I got an ice water as I quickly decided to go with a BYO Omelette ($13 plus tax) with prime rib, salmon, & pepper jack cheese (add $1.50 plus tax) served with choice of hash browns or home fries and choice of toast. The place was moderately busy and my food was served in 20 minutes after ordering. The omelette (3 egg) was soft and fluffy mixed with pieces of tender prime rib & salmon and melted cheese. This was a very good "surf & turf" omelette. The hash browns were shredded and pan grilled soft. The toasted Portuguese muffin was good with the omelette. After I finished my brunch plate, I got the check with Toast QR code, which was $15.73 with tax and before tip. Overall, I enjoyed my tasty brunch "surf & turf" omelette. I will have to return here for dinner, which has some good choices like steak tips, fish & chips, seafood chowder, and B&B shortcake. The service at the bar was adequate.
