I've been a loyal customer for years. Go Mow has been a reliable and thorough yard service. They are in and out quick with a job well done.

I wanted to give them 2 stars, but I'm trying to be uber-fair. So, on the positive side, they are very regular on cutting the lawn on the agreed upon day of the week (every week or every other week, depending on what you specify). Also, when you ask them to stop or suspend service they will do it. They are professional in that sense. What I found concerning is that they will "cut" the grass even if it doesn't need to be cut, even if cutting it makes the lawn worse overall. We've been with them for at least a couple years now. At this point, I'm not sure that even half the surface area of the lawn is covered with actual turf grass. It's not even completely covered with any kind of vegetation. Some of it is bare dirt. Now, to give a full picture, this lawn was not watered (except by God from the sky), so it's bit understandable that the lawn would be in such horrible shape when the neighbors' lawns, many of which are cut by the same company, look nice and green. Also, we don't live there, so we didn't notice so quickly what was happening. Still, in my mind they had a moral responsibility to let us know that the lawn is in bad shape and that they don't recommend "cutting" it any more. In my mind, they took our money to do something that was at best useless and at worst evil. If you live in your home and water your lawn, you will probably be pretty happy with them. Our neighbors seem to be. But, if you don't live there and only visit occasionally, I'd look for some other option. read more

I was looking for a lawn mowing service. I called, spoke with them on the phone, gave my address. They quoted me a price and said they do service the area. They came, after one cut sent an email saying they are canceling the service. Mind you, you have to commit to six cuts. You can't just stop it after one. When I tried to get an answer as to why, they said there are no other houses they service in my area. That's interesting since you had my address-you should have known that before agreeing to cut the lawn. Very unprofessional. read more

Our neighbor uses "GO MOW" to attend to her needs for a well manicured yard! I recently became unable to tend to these chores for myself, got their number from her, called, liked the price and booked them. Thinking when I was able to return doing this myself, I would; however, they have done such an incredible job, always being extremely respectful to every detail, never missing a day regardless of conditions and leaving my yard so absolutely beautiful. Pretty much straight to the point and simple. I was looking around since I recently moved into a new house rental and the yard was overgrown. I found gomow just on random chance on Google and Yelp and decided to spring for it. They came exactly the day I signed up for, as well as someone calling me and leaving me a voicemail to confirm the services and T&C, which was nice. The only thing we had to change was from weekly to biweekly, but that was super simple. Price for the first mow was great. I understood I had to pay double since the grass was SUPER overgrown but I'll gladly pay that since they did a great job. read more

I requested their bed & bush service and was very pleased with the work. They trimmed all the bushes I needed done and cleaned up all three areas before they left. I wish I could do lower, stay away from these guys. They charged me for a service that was never done. I canceled after waiting over a month for service. My HOA fined me,LOL, because they kept saying we were coming right out and not showing... After I canceled, they charged me again and magically showed up when I wasn't home supposedly and mowed my grass... The problem is I had already paid someone else to do it. The new people actually showed and did it, so there was no grass to cut, and second, I had already canceled I didn't get service. They tried to charge me and then sent it to collections and ruined my credit over a job they never did.. SCAMMERS: it's disgusting how they steal and try to scam people. Going a different direction now. Certainly, not sure who "Josh" is that is responding to these, since I have only been dealing with a Paul or Donna. I, too, have everything memorialized IMO, they have been hit or miss since I have been with them since June 2017 and so sad. Cutting too short has been an issue occasionally, which is hard on the grass, and that heavy mower thing they stand/walk behind, rather than a push mower also has been hard on my grass. The final straw was this text today. Yes, we had a lot of rain lately, and yes, the grass was longer than usual. So if they had said, oh we need to charge you extra for yesterday, or because you like the push mower. . . Wonder about where this "crew" went and why he used that big machine that is hard on my grass, or how my yard suddenly "big" (that was in the email sent to me). GoMow has been my lawn service since 2016. They have been great! Always on time on the day of service, always tidy to ensure my home looks great! The crew has been the same two guys (my yard is small so more people are not needed) and they are always great! They blow all the leaves into the lawn area and mow/mulch them into the grass. It's great for lawn thickness. There was one issue I had in 2018 where a rock hit my window and their administrative team took control of the replacement process and paid for everything. The process was smooth and I appreciated them taking ownership of the replacement and cost. I highly recommend GoMow to my friends and now to everyone else on Yelp. read more

I have just signed up with them. So far, it's great. They mowed, edged and blowed off patio and front porch with no issues. I will continue to use them. I have had a bunch of complements on the yard from the neighbors. I had issues with the prior service folks as I had to be home and waited for them as they wanted cash...they never showed up on time. This company listens to your needs....if you dont want heavy equip let them know. just let them know what you want and they are there for you. Although neither my husband nor myself enjoy yard work my husband does like mowing... I guess it's the immediate gratification you get at how pretty it looks right afterwards, so when my husband sprained his ankle he thought he would be back out mowing in three weeks tops. Well, turns out his sprain was a break so he is unable to take care of the yard-and at this point we're not sure for how long. Before we knew it the lawn was out of control. There were parts of it in the backyard that were five or 6 inches long. GoMow was recommended in one of our neighborhood blogs so I decided to take a look at their website. It was very easy to navigate and request a quote. I got a call back the very next day and was able to get details about how their service works and what the cost is. It turns out they come out to where we live on Fridays---- And they offered to come out that very Friday to mow. They offer either one time service at one rate (which seemed very reasonable in comparison to other lawn services ) or anything more than a total of 2 mows regardless of weekly or biweekly is offered at a discounted rate. There are no contracts to sign and no obligation and the gentleman I spoke to also assured me that if I was not happy with their service, I was to call and let them know and they would take care of it immediately. You can order their service to be done either weekly or biweekly. We chose weekly since this is spring and we seem to be getting quite a few rain showers. I was scheduled and our yard-front and back!-would be mowed, edged and weed eating completed between 8-5. (I'm hoping as the company grows they can give a little better idea of timing since we have dogs and would not want them out in the yard.) When Friday arrived, as I was having coffee I heard some weed eaters running and sure enough GoMow was here and had started our lawn as promised. They did a fantastic job. The lawn looked so nice afterwards! I could definitely see that the areas needing weed eating were taken care of and the lawn was edged which my husband only did once in a blue moon. Just makes everything look so defined and clean. We were both completely satisfied with the service we received and we are looking forward to next Friday. The price is so reasonable that even when my husband's out of his cast and back on his feet we may still choose to continue their services! Been a customer for a while, and on the plus side, they have been dependable and have done a pretty good job most of the time. But they've lost me as a customer. They FORCE you to call their @@#$ local phone number between the hours of 8 and 5 to make any changes to your service, when their competitors let you click right through to do same. Well, I don't have time to screw around with their archaic phone mentality -- ONLINE guys. The advantage for your customers is the convenience of doing things ONLINE. Going to your competition, who allows exactly that... I heard the explanation back earlier in the year that "we just want to make sure our customers are handled right," which is nonsense. You are intentionally making it difficult for customers, and that is not the strategy for a thriving business. read more

I've had GoMow for a while. They've never been as good as some of their competitors, but they've been tolerable. That is until our most recent fiasco. A large part of the lawn had not been mowed and I sent a complaint to GoMow and asked them to immediately cancel my service. I received a sympathetic response and was told I would not be charged for the last service. Cool- we can end on good terms. They seemed concerned, asking for pictures of the problem, so I sent some pics. Okay, maybe just a bad crew but they're trying to do right as a company... A few hours later the crew shows back up to mow what they didn't mow. Was never told they would do that and I had been quite clear I wanted to cancel, so their appearance was both unexpected and unwanted. I answer the door and the worker has the audacity to tell me that they didn't mow that part of the lawn because the desk outside had been left on the grass and they couldn't get to it. The desk in question was only brought outside this morning, and it was left by our front door (never put on the lawn). The worker had the temerity to look me right in the eyes and lie about why they hadn't done their job. He also seemed upset about having a complaint filed for his poor work. Cancelled, had workers show up and (with some hostility) argue that it was our fault "because the desk was on the grass." The desk was in my son's room the day they came to "mow." Stay Away! First, the guys knocked on my door not wearing masks. I'm not answering the door! The attention to detail was absolutely the worst of any lawn service I've had. Lawn cut too short showing dead grass. Lawn has a ton of mohawks - either the guy is "high" and just missed mowing the next lane or your equipment isn't in good working order. But how can you miss huge area's leaving mohawks all over the lawn and think your doing a good job or that is acceptable for lawn service? Edging tools: What in God's name are you using, a grinding wheel? The angle of the cut is canted toward the lawn and deep enough that you exposed all the dead grass - that's such a rookie mistake. You can see my neighbor's edging side by side and it doesn't look like a hack job! And on the call you said that if I cancel after 1 lawn service that you would charge me extra fee because you don't do single lawn service. I'm cancelling, you don't get paid an extra fee because of bad workmanship. read more

Was a customer for over a few years. Didn't have anything bad to say about them. They finish the entire yard in under 10 minutes but the price was fair. I bought a new lawnmower and cancelled the service. 4-5 months later they showed up and mowed the yard 2 times. I figured they learned it was a mistake and corrected. Now they have sent a $93.00 bill for the two yard mows to a collection agency that calls 4 times a day. My only option to not screw up my credit is the pay the extortion. Talked to the collection agency and asked what proof of debt there was, they are sending me a letter that just says you owe them money. Don't get involved with them. Reply: I'm sorry but that is not the way I perceived this . The main point to me is I called and Cancelled the service. At the time I cancelled, I was paid in full. Then you came 2 more times as you said. Wether it was a mistake or misunderstanding, I was not told you were going to start again as you claim. I have no emails or texts or phone calls saying you were going to start again. (I admit this could be because you have an earlier email address but I have the same phone number ) But then I was repeatedly asked to pay for something I didn't request. And then I got lots of calls from you. Like I said I had no problem with your service and I really don't want to leave a bad review but I'm being forced to pay for service I didn't order under penalty of counting against my credit. read more

GoMow managed to kill a tree of mine with their aggressive edging, broke the strings holding up two other trees multiple times, missed parts of the lawn twice, broke a sprinkler head, and managed to no-show once until I asked where they were. All in 9 weeks. The only reason I kept them that long is because they have a poison pill cancellation policy of "If you cancel your lawn care service before the 6 trip minimum is fulfilled, a one-time service cancellation fee of $40 will apply." Josh @ corporate is quite nice and quick to respond, but he (and his team) need to have better oversight of their mowing crews as the quality is sub-par. read more

I hired GoMow as a simple solution to just cut my grass every-other-week. However, despite my requests to have them ease up on the mowing (due to drought and resulting poor lawn growth), no one got the message through to the team. My lawn is DEADER than dead now. Weeds and dead areas have replaced what was once a nice green lawn. Had they stopped mowing, maybe this wouldn't have happened -- but it doesn't serve them to stop the machine! Ugh. We have used Go Mow to mow our lawn for the past 6 months. Because we were happy with their mowing services, I called and requested that they trim 3 bushes in my front yard. They explained that they would send me out a quote, and once I approved it that the work would be done in approximately 10 working days. That seemed a little long, but I agreed. They sent out the estimate, and it was as discussed, so I responded within hours telling them I approved. That was 18 work days ago (weekends make it closer to a month). As time drug on, I sent a few requests to find out where I was, and I received a variety of excuses (we working down the list, rain delays, etc). Once again, I remained patient. Today, I received a call stating that the crews were all sick and no one could come and trim my 3 bushes until next week--fully over a month after I first requested the work. No thank you. I'll take my business to someone who actually wants it! read more
