I've been to Golfio many times, to check out gear, buy stuff that I need in my bag, and last night I went for a similar reason. I wanted to pick up a 4 hybrid, check out a 2 hybrid and 7 wood. A sales associate (Keith) came over to talk to me, and I asked him if they had any other 7 woods available to try out. He took the clubs from me and told me to meet him in the testing/demo area. I'm making small talk and ask him how far he would hit a 7 wood in relation to his 7 iron, and Keith responds with "For me, 180 yards, for you? 150." I'm not saying that I'm the greatest golfer in the world, I'm just a hobbyist and someone that treats it as exercise, but I work with a coach, and we have stuff that we're working on in my swing. Keith continues to insist that my swing is "wrong", and insists that I start flicking my wrist. I don't know where he feels justified to judge my swing based on a few practice swings, not being warmed up, and me wearing sandals, because my original intent was to pick up a 4 hybrid and get the feel for a few other clubs, not to be disrespected, and given bad advice by Keith. I'm not leaving a review to bash the store, as the other employees have been nothing but helpful everytime I've been there, but this interaction alone has been one of the most discourteous experiences I've ever had as a consumer. This review is solely for the sales associate Keith at this store, and to inform management of this interaction. Edit: I'd like to amend and add on, the disrespect was towards him giving me advice, and when me asking him about the mechanics of what he was telling me "flicking my wrist", as opposed to the sweeping motion I've been working on, his response was, that swing is only for pros, you shouldn't try to swing like that. Again, I have a coach that I work with, and I'm ok with the progress I'm making. At no point did I ask him for advice on my swing. read more

My partner & I came in looking for a new sand wedge for me. I forgot the guy's name who helped me out, but he was super friendly and didn't try to push the expensive wedges on us. He recommended a ladies wedge at first, but showed me a regular wedge that ended up working well for me. There was some kind of discount, I think 10-20% off. Lots of great products for golfers. They have J Lindeberg, GFore, PXG which most of the golf shops don't carry. They sometimes have great choices at their clearance section where I can pick up many things with about 30% to 50% off. Great service and everyone is very friendly. I was little disappointed and couldn't give 5 stars because they didn't have a place for a left handed player like me to hit some golf clubs. I wanted to try their demo Titleist TSR3 and perhaps purchase it after few tee shots into the screen but walked out empty handed. When I entered, the establishment is very clean and organized. Came in to buy a glove and they told me I could try it on before buying. Upon inspection, some gloves were switched around so I assume some people switch the gloves to get the better quality ones for a cheaper price. I'm glad I checked and tried them on! Warning: do NOT make any purchases at this store!!! I bought some items for my daughter this afternoon which I had to return on the same day (they were unused). However, the workers (and the Manager, Michael Kang) refused to refund me the money and only gave me store credit. This is no sign saying "Final Sale" or "No Refund" in sight (not at the counter nor the front entrance), and the cashier did not say anything about their policy when we made the purchase. When asked for signs, Michael pointed to the receipt, which does have "All Sales are Final" printed, but the receipt is only printed after money is paid. We attempted to return our items one hour after purchase, which is when we were introduced to the store policy for the first time. When we talked to Michael, we were told that we can call the police and he even made a point about how they will have to put up signs again because we're the first customers to complain. Sir, the fact that you "had signs put up before" and that you have ahold of our money does NOT justify dismissing your customers in such a condescending way. We had a new policy applied to us when we tried to return our purchase and were bullied in accepting their terms because we would not get our money back otherwise. Looking on their Yelp page, the "Satisfaction Guaranteed" highlight sounds like a joke. It would be more worth your money to pay other stores a visit (Royal Vista Golf Club, Diamond Bar Golf Course, etc. anywhere but here). TL;DR: We were not told of their no refund policy and was bullied into accepting it when we tried to return our purchase. The manager was extremely condescending. Do not shop here. read more

Save yourself a headache and go anywhere else to buy yourself clubs. Ordered a set of clubs and the employees kept giving us the run around as to when they would be ready for pick up. After 3 weeks of calling about the status of my clubs I received the same response each time-"3-4 days until they arrive". I called again today to inquire if my clubs were there and got another "3-4" days response. I then said I want a refund and will go buy the set elsewhere and all of a sudden our clubs magically appeared at that very moment. I am sure they probably sold the clubs we ordered when they arrived at the store. When we arrived to pick up the clubs, the arrogant guy behind the counter assumed the clubs weren't paid in full. Golfio is a great spot if you're in the Walnut/West Covina area. They have a wide selection of clubs and their staff was very helpful. I ended up picking up some contact tape and noticed they have a pretty good selection of golf aids and tools as well. Came here to look at a driver, 50 degree wedge and a new fairway wood and oh my. I was not expecting the deals they have! 15% off everything!! They also cover 10% extra if you pay cash. Unbelievable!!! If I didn't just get stuff from Roger Dunn I would have bought my entire bag here. I forgot the guys name who helped me out but he was super attentive, he was one of the younger guys. I told him the prices of what I got at Roger Dunn and he double checked their prices to make sure they have the lowest. He also set me up in a hitting bay that was top notch and let try all the different shafts for the ts2. I am going to be shopping here for all my future golf needs! If you are getting custom work done this is not the place. I asked for a basic shortening of the club a new miura 3 iron. My club was a 0.25" inch long and wanted it to be shortened so it would play the same length as my mizuno 3 iron. I even brought the 3 iron I play with me and gave it to the guy so he can match the exact length. Once he started to measure it with measuring tape and not an industry standard rig I knew it was going to be off. Once I got my club back he said that it was a tad bit longer, 1/8" to be exact and said that it was better that it was longer. I asked him to match it exactly the same to the 3 iron I brought him, not longer. Even though this guy has a certificate that says he knows how to build clubs I wouldn't go back. read more
