I had a genuinely enjoyable day on Butterfield thanks to the amazing staff. From check‑in to the 18th green, everyone I interacted with was friendly, upbeat, and clearly passionate about making sure players have a great experience. Pace of play was smooth, Randy and the clubhouse team made the whole visit feel welcoming. The course layout itself is fun--good variety, fair challenges, and some really beautiful holes. But the bunker conditions were a noticeable downside. Many were packed, uneven, or lacking enough sand to play proper shots. It didn't ruin the round, but it definitely took away from the overall quality of the course. Still, with staff this good and a layout this enjoyable, the place has a ton of potential. If the bunkers get the attention they need, this could easily become one of the standout courses in the area. read more

El Prado is a great value golf course - staff takes care of you is a nice way and pricing is among the lowest in the area. Golf carts are dated but beats walking when it is 99 degrees. Played on a Thursday morning at 10:00 and got off a little early. Fairways are OK and greens were much better than the last time I played here- I'd say they were in great shape. We played the butterfield stage course, the greens were alright but everything else was pretty trash. Not every hole has Blue Tees in place, the bunkers were extremely rough, and the course just stinks... like literally, either the bathroom or sewage or just poop. Tiny flies hitting your face nonstop; I know it's summer right now but this doesn't happen elsewhere, at least not nearly as much. The car paths were more like off-road trails. No wonder the tee times were wide open. read more

Prado offers two courses. They are flat, but fun to play. They are not easy, but manageable. Green fees are reasonable. The pro shop is nice and the cafe is delicious. A Prado Dog is a must try. Staff is friendly especially Kyle in the cart barn. He is helpful and friendly. Very nice young man. I will return to play these courses again. read more

I enjoy el Prado because you know what you are getting and it's at a reasonable price. The walk on this course is easy in my opinion and they offer 2 courses with 1 being quite long and the other being short with tougher misses. Overall I like el Prado as the course is also maintained okay, the price is good, the walk is easy, and they have 2 courses. read more

Came here excited to play 18 holes, but left seriously disappointed -- and honestly, I won't be coming back. Our cart died before we could even make it to the 10th hole, and when I asked for help, I was told I had to wait 15 minutes because another group's cart had also died. Clearly a recurring issue. On top of that, they don't enforce their own rules -- there were groups of eight people playing on a single hole, which completely slowed everything down. The course itself? Basically dirt. Poorly maintained, frustrating pace of play, and when issues come up, they just give you excuses instead of solutions. If you want dead carts, long waits, and to play behind massive groups on a dried-out course, then this is your spot. Otherwise, steer clear. read more

I played at El Prado Golf Course yesterday (Sunday), and honestly, it was one of the most frustrating golf experiences I've had. Of course weekends are busy. I get that. But I've played at plenty of other courses where, if it's crowded, they'll pair up groups of two to keep things moving. That's why I found it odd that the group that was originally behind us (circled in red) was just two people, and the couple behind them was another group of two. Why weren't they paired up? Instead, the group in red complained that we were playing too slow, even though we were waiting on the group ahead of us (circled in purple), and that group was waiting on another group ahead of them. We explained this to the cart guy who came out, but he still told us to let them pass. We were keeping pace with the flow of the course and following proper golf etiquette, yet we were forced to move aside. And guess what? Now they're waiting too! The course was just that busy. So now I'm stuck behind the same original group along with the people we had to let pass us. That only made the situation more irritating. What really set me off was when we brought this up at the office. We paid $212 for our tee time and were met with complete unprofessionalism. The staff said they'd "look into it," but how? Are there cameras on the course? I told them I have photos and even the name of the cart guy who spoke to us, but they told us to call in tomorrow. If they're doing this to us, it makes me wonder who else they've done this to. El Prado needs serious improvement in how they manage weekend traffic and treat paying customers. With so many better-run courses in the area, this place just isn't worth the money or frustration. Do better. read more

Great price and nice staff but the course reminds me of a scene from the Walking Dead with it's dilapidated cart paths and bridges. Course play was alright; however, I kept getting attacked by every flying bug imaginable to make thing worse I got bit by a hundred Fire ants while teeing off on the 16th hole. A lot of mixed reviews for this place but let me give you my input. I bought a Groupon for footgolf, two people with balls provided for $12. We also got a golf cart for $20. Attire: wear anything (within reason), shoes can be regular sneakers Summer season: we began at 4pm so it wasn't too hot but you will need to bring a water. You are able to walk the course no problem but will be tired half ways done with no cart. Course: grass was great, obviously there are a few patchy areas here and there but it was nice and green. This is not like a small set up, you play the entire course like a normal golfer but there are separate 'holes' for you to hit into. Call in to reserve a time during the day you want. Show up and go inside the clubhouse which is around the building by the driving range. Let the guys know you're there for the footgolf and they will let you know where to go, and what to do. Workers were more than friendly and were able to explain to us non golfers what a 'green' is and what a 'fairway' is. Use the score card and have fun! read more

This is a public golf course located in Chino. I am surprised with their driving range because I get to hit on real grass! I have never has a chance to practice hitting golf balls on grass in San Gabriel Valley. Although this is a public course, this course is well maintained. Parking lot is huge and there are plenty of parking space. You are allowed to take the golf cart to the parking lot to load and unload your golf bags. Starters are very straight with the starting time, and they will call out each group in the microphone. I will probably come back for the driving range. read more

This course is cool. Deep into chino, you get a good range for practice and a decent course. Some of the grass could use some work but it was good for my group. One of my best golf rounds for sure. We were at this course last and this week due to my son's golf tournament (back to back) and although I don't have a high expectation on the food offered at the golf courses, I had a very pleasant experience at the cafe @El Prado. The overall service at the cafe is excellent and I want to comment on Stella, the chef who makes a variety of yummy Asian flare dishes! I ordered chicken bulgpgi and it was absolutely delicious! The men's club is a home away from home and all the staff here is welcoming. the bartenders and cart girls are awesome as well, I golf here on Tuesdays and Phoenix is the bartender, she always gets me with the deals they have 2nd shot is half off in the bar, 6th beer is free on the bucket, and they just recently started a loyalty program which is great on top of my men's club discount. I've been playing at el Prado for over 20 years. Both courses are in the best shape that they have ever been. Chino and butterfield greens are the in the best shape they have ever been. . I was really disappointed in my experience this last Sunday 4/19/2026 where my wife and I booked a 3:50 tee time with a cart and did not get to start our round until 4:45 because the pr shop "Ran out of Carts" which didn't make sense to me when they had a garage in sight with many carts that looked available. I then proceeded to call the shop to see if they might comp the round or at least the cart fee because we started almost an hour late to no fault of our own to which they refused. This course is usually pretty good but that was very unprofessional, If you book any twilight tee times be warned!! read more

Overall I had the best experience when I went golfing for the first time, the tall muscular built guy I believe his name was Aaron in the shop helped me out to understand the routing and how to play properly to not have any complaints coming into the shop. I really did enjoy the first time coming here thanks to the feedback from the shop attendant he even went as far as to give me a small little lesson on keeping that head down and getting a good feel for the game read more

Came in with the family for the foot golf and it was a fun afternoon. One of the holes had a dead rat in the cup and some of the holes the bucket was above ground and broken flag holders. Not a bad course but the upkeep on the foot golf needs some servicing. read more
