The course is decent for average hackers to play on. I recommend you smuggle beers onto the course. If you have an early tee time...no luck in getting a frothy beverage. You get to the back 9...and well hole 10 is oppo the clubhouse area, and they apparently hate the idea of a cart girl....needless to say, my round sucked since I couldn't channel my inner John Daly. read more

This place is a disaster. The "fairways" look like a cow pasture, the greens are basically sand traps with grass patches, and the tee boxes? I've seen better conditions in parking lots. Pace of play was glacial -- we waited 15 minutes between every shot thanks to no course marshals and clueless players everywhere. The carts were ancient, one broke down halfway through the round. The bathrooms? Don't even go there -- unless you're into horror movies. Staff seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else, and honestly, so would I. Save your money!! read more

I admit the first time I played this course I wasn't considering returning because of the condition and pace of play, but I'm glad I gave it another chance. In terms of value and being able to get a tee time it's hard to beat. Both Chino Creek & Butterfield Stage punish you when you're off the fairway (mostly the lack of manicured areas). The layouts are pretty simple, but if it's windy it makes the conditions much harder. The guys in the pro shop are cool and laid back. In fact sometimes when you check in you can just walk to the tee of no one is there. Usually the pace of play is decent, but I hear on Tuesdays and Thursdays there's a groups that play in the morning and can slow down play. If you set your expectations correctly ahead of time and come here to work on your game you should be fine. Golf can get expensive and this place is a rarity in Southern California. read more

Decent course. Greens are playable. Good price. Played butter field side hoping to play the other soon

Pace of play isn't great, neither are the conditions. Greens aren't too horrible, but about $25 over priced, good course if you want to slap the ball around with your buddies and don't care about wasting money. read more

A colleague suggested I familiarize myself with golf to better myself for "business meetings." The things I'll try for work... We decided that the driving range would be my training wheels into the golf world. The driving range here is open from sunrise to 5pm daily. Per my colleague, he enjoyed this location since there are no tall nets up blocking his view, however he dislikes that the driving range faces the direction of the sun. The grass could have been more green. Range Prices: - $5.00 for a small basket (45 balls) - $8.00 for a medium basket (70 balls) - $11.00 for a large basket (110 balls) Somehow we were here for over 4 hours. Yikes... That was much more time than I had anticipated. Honestly I had fun though. It was exciting the few times I actually hit the ball successfully. read more

We played this course over the past weekend. Tee times were pretty easy to book online from there website. Definitely book ahead a week or more if you must have peak weekend morning times. Rates are $56/person with cart, $42/person walking before 12pm on weekends, after 12pm is $44/person cart or $30 walking. Twilight after 3pm $32 cart, $22 walking. Cart rentals are available. They also have a full grass only range directly infront of the proshop. Two putting greens next to the range off first tee boxes. Checki-n/purchasing buckets are now only through the window on the side of the building. Proshop is currently closed during covid. The snack shop is totally open with full menu and bar open. Cart girl is on course driving around too. This course has two course, chino creek and butterfield. Butterfield has wider fairways then chino creek but both are enjoyable. If its your first time you probably will get lost on course since there are no signs and only dirt paths from tee to tee. Just remember butterfield is all facing the main street and mostly on other side of the street. Chino is on the clubhouse side is you're looking for the 1st and 10th tee boxes. Yep at least 3 groups got lost during the turn and the groups behind us. The course conditions are pretty good condition with 6508yd off blue tees. Yes some of the greens are very bumpy but all were in lush green conditions. Yes you can smell the sewage from the processing plant next door on the back 9 and some chino farm poo smells but its the area. The pace of place here was average. We got through 18 in about 4.5 hours. There were some backups especially with walking groups but nothing too bad. There are also numerous bathrooms located about every 4 holes for the senior groups lol. The sand traps are still rock hard but rakes are back in play. The food is also super cheap in the snack shop! Hot dog is like only $2.50! We had a 15min wait for our food! They do cook super slow! So highly recommend calling your order ahead before the turn or just pickup some snacks from the cart lady. Overall a pretty nice course for all skill levels. Mostly flat terrain and alot of wide drivable fairways on butterfield. Slope rating of 116 so not very difficult for lower handicaps. We'll definitely be back to play chino creek! read more

I have always like this golf course. You can choose between two 18 hole courses, the chino creek course or the butterfield course. I personally think the Chino Creek course is easier. Courses are flat enough that you can walk and prices are cheap enough that you can also take a cart if you don't feel like walking. It does get a little hot over in chino and you'll occasionally get a whiff of the manure plant and dairy farms in the area, but it's not too bad now and there is usually a nice little breeze. Another good thing about this golf course is you rarely feel rushed. They don't seem to overbook, so you can golf at a pretty leisurely pace and not have groups backed up on each hole. Some pretty wide fairways so you can really grip it and rip it, but if you slice or hook, you'll be OB or in some pretty heavy rough. Still, a good local course that isn't too expensive and will give you a decent challenging round of golf. read more

Really a very easy and nice golf course just twenty miles into Riverside Hwy 91 at Chino Hills, located in the middle of nowhere with well maintained green course and a practice range on a real grass. The 18 holes are situated on two large parcels of lots separated by two busy streets that do not have yield signs for the fast moving cars to stop for the golf carts. The price to play 18 with a golf cart is around $30 but there are not many players on the course and the greens are really nice and easy. The hazards are rare and only things to watch out for are the fast moving cars and you definitely will need your site map to find your location. Good luck! read more

Every time I go to this course it is always backed up and pace of play is extremely slow. No golf carts were available at the time we were supposed to tee off causing us to be 20-30 minutes late. Do not go to this golf course if you are looking to get a decent paced round in. read more

So I have been playing here for years and generally have found it to be a good value. Today I was paired with a young lady with her trainer and did not have a good time. I introduced myself to them on the first tee with no acknowledgement in return. They continually placed 2nd and 3rd shots to practice. Not the worst but it did set them back in keeping pace. On a par 3 I hit first and she hit from the red. Figuring time to move down the fairway they hit a second ball in my direction. They did not call out fore. I wasn't having fun and considering this would be a 5 hr plus round I quit after the 4th hole. I went to the pro shop and told of my experience and I felt like they didn't care at all. Not that I had any expectations but perhaps a replacement round would have been nice. A bucket of balls maybe. read more

Golf course is fun for all skill level, some tricky water courses but big fairways on some. Well maintained greens!

Great course if you have hit your driver well. Location of the holes can be a bit tricky and dangerous as you need to cross a street with no stop signs. Course gets backed up on weekends. On my last visit there were times where we got to the next hole and there were two groups waiting to tee off. the group ahead of us had 4 ppl but sharing 3 sets of clubs... which didnt help pick up the pace. The driving range you can hit off from grass which is plus. read more

Good for the price. Not very slow rounds. Good range and putting green. Windy In afternoons for sure. Little dry when I was there last. But it is the inland empire area read more

Prado Golf course seems to be making some very long needed improvements on and off the course. Its still far from being a top notch course in the area but the efforts are recognizable which shows they are progressing in the proper direction. The prices are very reasonable. read more

My son and I golfed here last week and had a great time. We try to make it here as often as we can. It is very reasonably priced and very well maintained. It is perfect for walking or using a cart. The staff is attentive and when our cart died on the 8th hole, they brought us a freshly charged cart within minutes. The are plenty of par 3's and also some longer holes as well. A great course to work on your short game. The driving range allows you to practice off the grass and opens at 6:00 Am. Overall, we always have fun here and the prices are within reason. read more

For the amount of golf I've played here I think it's time to show El Prado some love. The review is based on the quality of the course, the service, and the overall price you are paying for a round of golf. There are also some nice amenities like gunshots from the local shooting range, the crackling of electric wires on some of the holes, and the sweet smell of manure courtesy of the local fertilizer plant, or is it that swamp that borders the 12th and 17th holes on Butterfield... You can always find great afternoon deals to play here on Golfnow and the prices are good for the golf. Courses are not perfectly manicured but the greens are always solid and you are rewarded for hitting the fairway. I've never had any problems with any staff members here or any of the other golfers on the course. El Prado is home to many junior tournaments so it can get backed up from time to time. read more

Played this course with my buddies for the first time and it was in pretty good shape. We were celebrating a birthday.

First ever visit today. We absolutely loved the place and signed up for a membership. Wonderful driving range and practice setup. Plenty of putting, chipping, and pitching areas. Considering it's a public course in the middle of a drought, the all-grass range was in excellent shape. We drove 40 minutes specifically for the all-grass range, and found it well worth the drive. All the staff was very pleasant, kind, and helpful. We spent many hours practicing, without time to play. That said, the two courses look to be in very good condition. This place is a gem, and we're eager to return! read more

How can a golf course not have any ball washers? I'll just leave it at that. Not so great.

Nice public corse. Well maintained and reasonably priced. Many holes have very nice views. Quite a few divots, come on golfers repair or reseed please. read more

The booking process was very easy to navigate. The staff was very nice and helpful. The course needs some work and was not in the best condition but the greens were good. The sand traps need more sand and the fairways need some turf repair but all in all a great value for a round of golf. read more

FROST DELAY We had 2 Tee times for today, took work off and celebrating our Buddys Birthday! Booked the 2 times about 5 Days out. Both times were before 8am. You would think with a Frost delay that all the times would be pushed back which is understandable. But NO! At this course is so unprofessional we were told that there is a good chance that we wont get out. We were told they couldn't guarantee us getting out and if we did, we would probably be starting on the 4th 5th hole. We were told that all the times before 8am probably wouldn't get out so they can accommodate the later times. Never seen a business so unprofessional! If they were to cancel our times and not the other times past 8am they should have a compensation for us being there. That is the right thing to do. This isn't cool. Please someone explain to me why they have a right to do this????? read more

I had fun. I will b going back. It does get packed. I will have 2 make a tee time in advance.

good course and bang for your buck .. especially now a days ... pace of play decent as well

I played the Chino Creek course with 3 of my buddies on a Sunday around noon. You get to hit off grass on the range which is great, since mats can be so deceiving for how well you're striking it. It was $51 for green fees and $15 each for the golf cart. The greens seem like they were recently aerated so we had a few bumpy lines for putting. There is a good amount of green side and fairway bunkers to make the straight holes a bit more interesting. Fairways are well maintained, for a public course, the rough isn't too hard to hit out of. Pace of play was great for 1st 13 holes, then it slowed down a bit at the first Par 3 of the back 9. It wasn't too bad though. The only downside that I could think of was the amount of flies and mosquitos on majority of the wholes away 1 hole away from the clubhouse. Some greens have a lot of bugs as well just chillin and crawling on your ball at address. I wouldn't mind playing this course again, but I'd definitely bring some bug repellent sprays and hat with the mosquito netting on it. Was it worth $66? Maybe during the winter when there are less bugs everywhere. read more

I don't golf, but went to hang out with some friends. They definitely seemed to enjoy the course. From what I could see, pretty green although there are some areas that can be a sight for sore eyes. Green waste just kind of sitting there from old trees and shrubs. The bar and snack shop seem outdated, but staff is friendly and the food was not bad. I tried a bit on sourdough....pretty straight forward. I would come back, maybe next time i try and play. read more

This course should not be more than $45 to ride. Greens are usually dry and brown. Lately it's been green because of all the rain we've been getting. But worst of all I go to get a bucket of balls and they tell me they ran out of balls and that it's only 30 min wait and i would be on a list. Wtf I've never heard that before lol read more

SO MANY WTF's? ‍ A few ok/good jobs. I only played Butterfield Stage so this review is for that course only. 1: Starter was a good guy but there was 3 in the office & they didn't notify me of which group I'd be playing with until we were already on the teebox! WTF cuz I was still on the range & it was 10 minutes early. I arrived over an hour early. 2: They only have ONE BRAND of golf balls for sale I can make do but again WTF? It's Callaway. 3: The range is all grass but absolutely beat to a pulp so I had to use/break tees to get some iron practice in, WTF? 4: Power lines directly in play off the first & third tee box? WTF? 5: The "across the street" portion of the course smelled like a sewage treatment facility! GIANT WTF??? Oh wait because there is one upwind of that part of the course which I didn't know until I got to the 17th hole!!! Still WTF? 6: The course itself wasn't terrible but the greens were extra spongy which is great when you hit them but tough to get a grasp on speed at times. The difficulty was that the fairways were also spongy & overgrown so I was choking down on irons most of the round which makes it tough for club selection! I was consistently in between clubs! Do you even mow the lawn... WTF??? 7: While I don't expect your level sand traps I also don't expect to be able to putt out of literally every bunker if I chose to. Easier to just play all bunkers like a dirt patch as you're not thumping out of these the way it's meant to be played! Have you heard of sand? WTF? 8: I never saw a ranger/Marshall so the pace was pretty slow as expected at a muni but there should be a Marshall! WTF? Time for the good/ok's 1: Food was ok & service was great employees very pleasant. 2: Cart girl was a smokeshow! Good job! 3: $44 for 18 holes with a cart on a Sunday is a good price generally speaking. read more

El Prado Golf Course - How far my feet sank into the "fairway." - Golf Near Me - Chino, California

Came here for a game of Footgolf. At first it was difficult to find the front desk, there weren't any visible signs. The staff member who assisted us was friendly and helpful. The course was super nice, some holes were challenging while others were easy. The only downfall was the carts were not made available to us, not sure if this was to due to the COVID precautions or their policy. Overall the experience was amazing ! Highly recommend. And I will most likely attend again. read more

Terrible customer service from start to finish. Staff at the front are young and don't know what they're doing. Told us to deal with teeing off late and not finishing 18 or they can just refund us and we can go somewhere else. No discount and told us the club policy is to charge full green fees although they are backed up and have no carts available for us. The round was slow all day and when we get to the 10th tee on Chino Creek, a groundskeeper tells us, if we don't get to the gate crossing the private road to play 12, 13, and 14 by 3:50 pm, we would be locked in. We rush to finish 14 while the groundskeeper is making noise for us to quickly putt out, he has gall to tell us we owe him for pushing 10 minutes beyond his shift. It's 4pm and we should be able to finish., but because they locked the gates to 12, 13, and 14, players from 11 are just waiting to play 15 and now doubling up on time. After a 5 plus hour round on 15 , we called it quits and decided to head back to the clubhouse. By hole 16, our cart ran out of juice and we had to push it back. El Prado was a terrible golf experience. Will never play here again. read more

Not a bad place for the price. I have now played both courses, and I prefer Chino Creek. Positives are the price, length of course, decent greens. Negatives are the cart paths, lack of course maps, VERY small hole numbers. I would not pay over $40 to play these courses at anytime of day. read more

Looking for a social distancing activity? I really love their golf here, but I really love the driving range. Their bucket prices are reasonable and the guys running the pro shop are really nice. I also loved the little snack and drink bar, and grabbed a few adult beverages before heading out to hit some buckets. There really is nothing better then hitting off real grass when you're practicing, and I think this place does a good job at moving their range around so grass has a chance to grow. People are doing a good job at distancing and wearing masks, so you feel like you have your own space and you're safe. It's nice to get some fresh air and this is the place to get a little sunshine (while practicing an amazing sport!) read more

I'll start with I've been playing this course for years. I drove from LA this morning to play an early tee time with my dad. There was a frost delay which is understandable but instead of shifting tee times back, any tee time before the expected delay was canceled. Art was unhelpful and rude. In my opinion if they take your phone number at reservation, they should call you if they are going to cancel your tee time. read more
