First session was promising. Had all the cameras up, showed me where my swing was to steep or my club face was off center. Second session got directions in proper set up and worked on that also with a drill that worked on contact and was enjoying it. The next 4 sessions I had was just a day at the sim. I was basically on my own. The instructor sat in the chair behind me and just the same (tip/cue) randomly after some shots. I still use the tips for a proper set up and jay does seem knowledgeable but after the first few days the lessons became stagnant and the desire to teach was nonexistence. I paid 15 lessons last year and ended up with Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex Tear on my left wrist doing their wrist hinge up/down exercise. Like another review mentioned, the instructor sat mostly in his chair asking me to hinge up and hit down hard on the mat most of the time. I called the owner afterwards and they blamed me mostly, even after I told him i had mentioned my wrist pain to the instructor multiple times. They ended up offering me full refund but I'm still pissed since instead of playing golf, i'm spending time for multiple doc office visits, Xray and MRI. I would avoid this place unless they can tailor their teaching method to each student's need instead of focusing on mostly wrist hinge up and hitting down. read more

Read this before you give up on your swing or your training! I have dropped 10-20 strokes on my handicap with Golf Code 360. Don't give up after 5-8 lessons, it takes more time to really correct your swing! Quick backstory: I had golfed for about 18 months prior coming to golf code 360. I was feeling pretty good about myself with around a 30-35 handicap on regulation courses. For about the last 6 months out of the 18, I saw little/no improvements and realized I would need the help of a trainer. In comes Josh and golf code 360. I went with the 15-lesson package because I was very impressed with the initial swing review. We spent about 12 lessons solely on what a good swing looks like. Prior to lessons with Josh: Not good grip. Not good setup or form during backswing. Very arm heavy swing- body all over the place during backswing. Not very consistent. Lessons 1-3 was tough. The things Josh was teaching me didn't feel natural. My game got much worse in the short term. Lessons 3-10 things started to click a little. Grip was a little better, form was getting quite a bit better. Starting to use arms less and use hips, shoulders, body more. My score was about the same or a little better than when I started. Self-doubt about the lessons were fairly big around 3-8. Lessons 10-15 is when things started to make a lot more sense, and an appropriate swing became feeling natural. These past 4 months or so I have seen a remarkable improvement in all aspects of my game. I started this journey at about a 30-35 handicap and am now at 18 and lowering. Post lessons with Josh: Grip is much better. Setup is much better, backswing form is much better. Body driven swings are the normal, but I still have room to improve. Much more consistent. I still have things to work on, and plan to take more lessons. Lessons are not inexpensive, but they are the #1 thing you can do to get better at this sport. Each lesson I am able to take something that I can then practice at the range on my own time. Each time I get better at something, it makes a noticeble improvement. If it doesn't feel right at first, or you have a lot of self-doubt, just stay at it. You will get there! It's not easy to completely change the way you thing about a golf swing. Highly recommend, I am new to golf and was hesitant to get golf lessons as there is so much different info online which nothing worked for me . It's a small spot in a quiet part of Brea but don't be fooled - Jay and his team know their stuff. They have hitting bays with all the video equipment and other tech to diagnose your swing and help you improve. But it's not just the tracking equipment and other tech. It's also about the right instructor and fit. I had an intro assessment with Josh and I knew that this was the place. I signed up for a package of lessons and it was money well spent. Josh was thorough in explaining the foundations of the golf swing in terms I could easily understand and, more importantly, REMEMBER out on the course. This little thing helps keep me focused and prevents me from reverting back to bad habits/mechanics. He never looked down on me as someone who was wasting my money or his time, which made it enjoyable each week. He keeps it light and fun, but always making sure I focused on the core mechanics. Here's where I'm coming from: 1.) I learned golf from my friends (who are not pros) 10+ years ago. I got clubs from a friend that worked for Taylormade at the time. So think of it as me getting "keys" to a "car" (Game of golf) but not knowing how to drive the car correctly. 2.) I found myself being very inconsistent with my club striking when I recently picked up golf because of COVID quarantining. 3) I tried other coaches at golf ranges, but I needed something more. The "more" I needed came from Golf Code 360 studio (GC360S). I was on a quest to build a new foundation for my golf swing and I found that with Joe at Golf Code 360 studio. As of this review, I am 4 lessons in and I have to say that my swing has changed for the better. I've already shaved off a few strokes at a local golf course. My goal is to be able to understand my swing and 8-9 times out of 10, hit the ball more or less how I envision to hit it. Golf Code 360 Studio uses analytics and provides a great visual feedback mechanism to ensure progress of the swing mechanics being built. For me, I love data! Just an update to my previous review... The lessons I took with Joey are the gift that keeps giving! As important as the in studio lessons were he also gave me tips to self-correct on the course. As a result my scores continue to drop, posting an 88 and an 87 at Sand Canyon- a course with a 126 slope and an 87 at my home course... my 1st legitimate sub-90 rounds counting each stroke with no "breakfast balls" or mulligans. Being that my initial rounds this year were all above 110 I'm thrilled with what those lessons did for my game. My initial GHIN handicap was 34...it is now 20.5 I've never had more fun on the course!
