You know the guy, the one that comes to the course with a different identity every time trying anything from small Grandpa half swings to Harley Grippin and throttling the driver as hard as he can, to Texas wedging from 60 yards off in the fairway .... That guy. Then after losing like seven balls at Canyon crest and shooting in the upper 90s again, I finally humbled myself and realized I might need a coach In my business life- coaching had paid for itself many times over and I finally widened up and thought "why not golf too" Maybe you relate, I'd been trying to bake a cake with a million different recipes on YouTube and I knew that if I was humble enough to go and copy someone else's playbook from top to bottom just maybe I might stand a chance When I met Jay, I could tell right away, this guy knows his stuff and he spoke my language, "biomechanical efficiency", "anatomical limits", "isometric tension", and on and on You see I'm a skeptic and I'm pretty critical by nature and I challenge everything, but anything I threw at Jay he had a response for, and not only that he was able to redirect me and tell me where I'm not even asking the right questions I must admit I'm a difficult person to work with. I'm an eight on the Enneagram (a challenger), and not only is Jay gifted in his golf system, but also in his soft skills, such as being able to handle challenging people. He knew when to step on the gas and push me and he knew when I just needed a nice cold Gatorade cause I was about to explode Today I finally broke 80. He told me I would within 6 months of his coaching... and we made it Cheers Jay, to a true coach. I called Shaftopia and spoke with someone who said he was the "distributor." I asked what length the shaft would play at once installed in my mini driver. Their website doesn't have a mini driver option like other shaft distributors do, so I selected fairway wood instead of driver because the Titleist GTS300 Mini Driver uses a fairway wood adapter. I asked again what length the shaft would play at, and his response was, "Do you have Google?" Couldn't believe how rude and unhelpful he was over a pretty simple question. Where do I begin with Victoria... she is an amazing instructor and I am so lucky to have her as my…read moreinstructor. It was a goal of mine to learn golf the correct way and learn it with the correct fundamentals in order to last me my lifetime. Victoria is so meticulous and your person for that if you want to learn it the proper and correct way. We focused and form and everything else followed. Although she's an amazing instructor, you also have to put in the work. I was at the range everyday. Victoria saw my dedication and passion and really wanted to help me out. She would come by and give me tips. She truly wants to see her students succeed. I look back at videos and can see myself how much I have improved as a player. I'm proud to say that I can keep up with those who have played golf for years. I can also outdrive men on the course. If you're looking for an instructor, look no further than Victoria.

I've been playing for over 25 years and have been self taught. I've been consistently in the 90's…read moreand would occasionally get into the high 80's. During a big golf trip two years ago, I developed a major shank in my irons and had lost all confidence in my game. I was back to three digit scores and would celebrate if I broke 100. I took a break and finally decided to seriously consider lessons. I found Laurent through TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) as he was one of the highest rated teachers in the area. I went in for an assessment and in that session alone he was able to address some things that had me go from shank to baby draws at the end. I signed up for a lesson package that consisted of 5x two hour lessons. In my first and only lesson, we focused on iron shots and permanently removing the shank. He tried many different approaches to get me to address my problem and we used the entire two hours to find the right fix. After the lesson, he texted me a practice plan with a breakdown of the drills I needed to do every day. His follow-up and willingness to put in the extra effort in communication outside of the lesson shows he cares and see this as a team effort. He holds you accountable for the effort and discipline needed to succeed. This is where the value of his coaching style stands out, you get way more than you pay for. Rather than go back in for a second lesson, I focused on the drills and implementing what we worked on in my game. I did this all summer on a regular basis. I'm now consistently shooting in the 80's and my playing buddies have noticed the difference. This with just one iron lesson. I'm now anxious to go back and work on some of my iron misses and start working on woods. On top of all the great coaching, he also shows a lot of interest in me personally and has helped me connect with other folks in his network. I feel fortunate to have found him and to be a part of Team Laurent!

I had assumed that would be a personalized plan on how we would improve my game. But it was just a list of his rates for different ranges of people. I'm sure the same thing he sends to everyone. If that was all he was going to send, why not just give me that info before the assessment? Also, I understand this is an assessment and not a lesson but I think the assessment is not only for him to assess me but for me to gauge how I like his teaching style. Alas, I didn't get any comment on my swing or what he would be trying to improve. So I asked him over text what his plan for me was but he ignored the question and just responded with something about not competing with youtube or range "pros". edit(Response to his comment): Nothing I said is incorrect. You are right you sent me your rates on Sept 24th 2022 at 12:54pm. That is AFTER the assessment @9am on the same day. I've attached our texts as proof. Perhaps instead of name calling, you could appreciate that my experience was not great and try to improve....

I went from thinking my swing was "fine" while struggling through terrible rounds, to actually feeling confident on the course--and even beating my friends now . Danny took the time to start with the fundamentals and rebuilt my swing the right way. He corrected my grip, stance, and overall swing mechanics, explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand and apply. In only two lessons, I learned the core skills for both my irons and driver, which completely changed my game. I'd say I went from beginner (borderline horrible!) to a solid intermediate in a very short time. I'm incredibly grateful for the instruction. I'll be practicing the drills Danny taught me and will definitely be back when I'm ready to take my game to the next level. If you're on the fence about golf lessons, take this as your sign to invest in them. Just two lessons gave me the fundamentals that will be the foundation of my game moving forward.
