TLDR: I definitely recommend! I have been golfing off and on for almost 30 years and had a good foundation starting with lessons, but hadn't taking a lesson for a long time and have been challenged with finding consistency. I just needed some reminders on feels and positions that I should be looking for to correct the handful of errant shots that can result in some big numbers out there. After taking a lesson prior to Danny didn't I didn't feel like I quite got the answers I was looking for so I gave Danny a shot and within the hour he definitely answered a lot of my questions and gave me some good drills and feels to strive for. Obviously it requires practice and repetition to lock it in, but seems like it just what the doctor ordered! Also the thing I appreciated about Danny is that if you have specific questions about something technical he's open to diving into the details u til you feel like you have a satisfactory answer. The other lesson I had, they just told me not think so analytically because it's all about feel, but if you're an analytical thinker like me it's nice to strive for a feel and simultaneously satisfy the analytical side of the brain. I went into lessons with Danny as quite the beginner- I had been to the driving range 3-4 times and had never achieved a clean hit. Everyone who I'd go golfing with would try to give me tips to try to get the ball to hit straight, but nothing worked and when I was lucky enough to make contact, the ball would veer right by 100+ degrees minimum. By the end of my first lesson with Danny I was able to send a golf ball high and straight for the first time. Danny takes a very hands on approach and can quickly see where your form is off to make adjustments. After an hour of micro-adjustments, I was able to understand how to grip the golf club properly, hips/leg positioning, upswing details, and follow through in much greater depth than I had going into the lesson. I am hitting balls to the left now too which is very encouraging for developing my aim He also let me borrow an Iron so that I could practice on the driving range in between lessons. Danny Lee was a referral from one of my friends who did research online. I have to tell you Ive gone to multiple golf courses across Southern California and I was never impressed with any of the instructors I've gone to. Could not recommend Coach Danny enough. We booked a golf trip to Palm Desert for our Parents who were avid golfers. Our only goal was to be able to play a game with them, and not get in anyone's way. We booked a group of 4 lessons with Coach Danny for myself & my husband to be completed before the trip. Having never played a round and only been to a hitting range before we noticed immediate improvement in our swings after the first lesson. We had great improvement after lesson # 2 and so on. My husband had some physical limitations due to back issues and we let Coash Danny now and he tailored his training to that specific issue. So if you have any limitations or questions speak up and he is always willing to listen and adjust the training to fit you. We had some game rule questions he was happy to explain to us, but we focused most of our time on our swing since our goal was to play with family that could teach us the rules of the game. Our lessons were fun and we got a lot out of them always feeling better and better in our skills. He will even tell you if your skill is a playable skill. And we really saw that once we got out on the course. Having taken our lessons made us feel so much better once we played a round. Looking at other folks Tee off and seeing some balls go into the pool off of a course made me feel so pleased that I was able to hit so straight once on the course. We started off with a 9 hole Par 3 course and because of our lessons we really enjoyed our first game! We went back in the week to the same 9 hole and I even took 3 strokes off my game and made Par on the last hole, it was a perfect way to end our trip. I have to say this lesson exceeded my expectations. I am an 11 Handicap, recently up a couple strokes from an 8 and have been having swing issues for the past 2 years. Danny made all of his instruction's very easy to digest, and my favorite part about the lesson was his hands on approach to helping me feel things in my swing that made an immediate difference in the way I was hitting the ball. I've been playing golf for a little over a year and wanted to take the next step in my game. I opted to take the two lessons with Danny, and couldn't be happier with my progress. The first lesson was focused on my golf mechanics (stance, grip, takeaway, etc). Definitely challenging due to all the minor (and major) tweaks that I needed to make to consistently strike the ball. I took the next couple of weeks to practice and be comfortable with everything I learned from the first lesson. Once I took my second lesson, I was able to grasp and conceptualize the remaining tweaks much easier and was able to strike the ball with less effort, more consistency, and most importantly more distance. Message for All Golfers especially for Beginner Golfers. I cannot stress enough the importance of taking golf lessons. Golf is more fun when you know the proper basic foundation. Golf has become my addiction! Lessons with Coach Danny were invaluable! I accomplished the importance of gripping the clubs, stance, and learning the terminology. Basically, the grip affects in terms of close club face, open club face, etc. Changing one aspect of your setup makes a difference. This review is more about the cost of Danny Lee's lesson and not his teaching skill. Initially I was told it would be $500 for 2 lessons ($250/hour) for my wife. I freaked out and Danny lowered the cost to $400 for 2 lessons. I thought this was normal pricing, but upon asking some people and Google (one of which used to be on the California professional tour) they agreed it was abnormally high, especially for beginning lesson for someone that never played golf. Danny's lesson is great, but it is not worth $500 for 2 lessons ($250 hour). On top of that, we had to buy our own range balls. Hahaha. I'm not sure if we got ripped off, but it was a mistake I will learn from. We ended up finding a club professional for less than half the price at a local golf course. They had 8 instructors and non of them were even close to $250/hour. They were all PGA certified pros. read more

More than just a typical instructor, he really emphasizes the basics of the mechanics of a golf swing utilizing video equipment but also his keen eye for all natural movements. I personally benefitted from him breaking my swing down into several basic points and explaining what each and every movement does for my weight shift and subsequent transfer in contact. Another thing that stood out is that after I finished my initial lessons, he did not try to sell me on more immediate classes. He said "take the lessons and knowledge you now have and keep working on your swing. Once it becomes natural, then you can come back to start the next phase of classes: aim, course management, etc".
