I picked up golf in 2018 in my early 30s and I got the bug but I was never or rarely able to break…read more90. You know the guy, the one that comes to the course with a different identity every time trying anything from small Grandpa half swings to Harley Grippin and throttling the driver as hard as he can, to Texas wedging from 60 yards off in the fairway .... That guy. Then after losing like seven balls at Canyon crest and shooting in the upper 90s again, I finally humbled myself and realized I might need a coach In my business life- coaching had paid for itself many times over and I finally widened up and thought "why not golf too" Maybe you relate, I'd been trying to bake a cake with a million different recipes on YouTube and I knew that if I was humble enough to go and copy someone else's playbook from top to bottom just maybe I might stand a chance When I met Jay, I could tell right away, this guy knows his stuff and he spoke my language, "biomechanical efficiency", "anatomical limits", "isometric tension", and on and on You see I'm a skeptic and I'm pretty critical by nature and I challenge everything, but anything I threw at Jay he had a response for, and not only that he was able to redirect me and tell me where I'm not even asking the right questions I must admit I'm a difficult person to work with. I'm an eight on the Enneagram (a challenger), and not only is Jay gifted in his golf system, but also in his soft skills, such as being able to handle challenging people. He knew when to step on the gas and push me and he knew when I just needed a nice cold Gatorade cause I was about to explode Today I finally broke 80. He told me I would within 6 months of his coaching... and we made it Cheers Jay, to a true coach. Someone who answered my late evening and weekend texts, kept me on the tracks, kept it simple when i needed simple, and we had a few laughs along the way.

ACE Golf has quietly become my default answer whenever someone asks what to do on a free afternoon…read more It checks every box for a laid-back group outing without any of the friction that usually comes with it. The vibe here is consistently good. The staff up front are genuinely friendly and welcoming -- the kind of energy that sets the tone for the whole visit before you even pick up a club. Nothing pretentious, nothing rushed. Just a smooth, easy experience from the moment you walk in. Pricing runs around $40 an hour which, full transparency, is on the steeper side. That said, it's pretty consistent with what most comparable spots are charging in the area, so it's hard to hold it against them specifically. What does help justify it is the little things -- refillable drinks being the most notable. That alone makes the rate feel a lot more reasonable when you're settling in for a session. The other thing worth calling out is the attitude around time. Nobody is breathing down your neck when you're wrapping up a hole and running a few minutes over. That kind of laid-back approach to the experience matters more than people give it credit for -- it lets you actually enjoy yourself instead of watching the clock the whole time. ACE Golf is a reliable, well-run spot with great energy. Easy recommendation for a group outing.

I called Shaftopia and spoke with someone who said he was the "distributor." I asked what length the shaft would play at once installed in my mini driver. He kept talking over me and saying, "You mean DRIVER?" I told him no, mini driver. Their website doesn't have a mini driver option like other shaft distributors do, so I selected fairway wood instead of driver because the Titleist GTS300 Mini Driver uses a fairway wood adapter. I asked again what length the shaft would play at, and his response was, "Do you have Google?" Couldn't believe how rude and unhelpful he was over a pretty simple question. I have been playing golf and have consulted with various instructors and in 2024 I found Okky! I…read moreread his profile and decided to schedule a lesson. My first lesson with Okky was in September 2024 - there were quite a few changes (not drastic) but fundamental changes needed. The first lesson tremendously helped me and at the same time trying to get used to the change. At times, it seems that you wanted to revert to the way you used to - but I pulled that temptation away and remind myself to be patient with this change and to give it a chance. In May 2025, I went for my 2nd lesson - he continued to reinforced the initial lesson that I had. Then in January 2026, I went for my 3rd lesson to improve my Driving of the ball. We began with Iron shots practice, he reinforced the same lesson I had before. He added few more concepts that I continued to implement during practice. Seems that 3rd lesson is a charm and with a little patience applying these concepts seems to get somewhat easier! With these 3 lessons it paid off! I'd like to share that Last Monday 03-02, I broke 80 at Goosecreek Golf Course. Thank You Okky for your time and drills/concepts you had ingrained in me and making me understand the mechanics. I strongly recommend Okky for your golf instruction needs.
