I played a decent amount of golf growing up and through high school and then fell out of the game for about 15 years. Over the past few years I've played maybe 2-3 times a year without much practice in between. I purchased a 15 lesson package with Nowndale at Golf Code 360 in January of this year and recently finished the package (went in once a week). My journey with Golf Code 360 began with the initial free evaluation and I was immediately hooked by the analytical / body geometry approach Nowndale applied to my swing. We started off by looking at a few pro's setups and then studied mine. Within the first lesson Nowndale showed be how to properly setup to the ball and my before / after photos were like night and day - much more athletic stance and proper form. From there we slowly moved from setup, to grip, to proper contact (compressing the ball, turning the wrists, etc), to full swing (not coming over the top, proper spine angle through impact, turning the hips, using lower body to build power, whipping the club especially for longer irons, etc). My swing improved tremendously over the course of 15 lessons, it's truly mind blowing! I'm now able to flush all my irons all the way up to 4i (which I was never able to hit properly even when I was playing a lot in my younger days). My distance has increase 20-30 yards per iron and I'm also taking a nice, consistent divot after the ball. Nothing feels better than seeing a bit of turf fly off in the distance after hitting an excellent shot. My driver is more consistent and I now have a rule set to follow for chipping and putting. I also want to give a shout out to Nowndale for being an amazing instructor. He is very knowledgeable, articulate, and patient. He is also very supportive and will get in there and show you how it's done himself which I found helpful. I've been so impressed with my experience and improvements that I have just signed up for another 10 lesson package, which is now on a once a month basis, for tune-ups. Highly recommend Nowndale and Golf Code 360 for any golfer looking to improve their game! read more

Just completed my course of 10 lessons with Nowndale. Each session was an hour long and packed with great information and tips to improve my game. My favorite part of the lesson was that they use cameras from multiple angles to analyze my swing. In the beginning I couldn't believe how disoriented my swing looked but after the lessons it started to actually look like a golf swing. Would highly recommend to try out this studio! read more

I highly recommend anyone who is interested in learning golf to take lessons from Josh! My friend and I recently finished the 10-pack semi-private (2:1) lessons. We were completely new to the game (never held a club before), and after 10 lessons are regular golfers who can play on a course. Side note: they also offer lessons to experienced golfers through a swing evaluation, but I am writing for my own experience. The coach: Josh is extremely knowledgable and patient. He deconstructed the golf swing to ensure we had full understanding of every component before piecing it all back together into a full swing. I also consulted him when buying my own equipment. He's attentive and encouraging during every lesson, and taught us what to look out for and how to correct mistakes as they happen. This allowed us to watch out for the same things while we practiced. Most importantly, he caters his coaching to each student to ensure we individually understood what to work on through different examples and pace of learning. I really can't recommend him enough! The tech: The monitors allowed us to review in real time every motion that we make in order to course correct. The immediate feedback is a crucial piece in ensuring you are practicing correctly to create the muscle memory. The space: It's an indoor studio with two bays with monitors for lessons. At most, there would be only 1 other lesson happening, but we mostly had the full space to ourselves. Obviously that would be dependent on the coaches' schedules, but even with one other lesson going it, it definitely felt way less hectic than at a driving range. The indoor aspect was especially nice as we took lessons during the summer and were able to learn in optimal conditions. read more

Highly recommend Kevin as a coach. I've seen a major difference since we have started .I am actually understanding my swing and why the misses happen. read more

Just finished up my 10 golf lessons package with Nowndale at the Pasadena location and cannot recommend him enough! When I came in, I had a lot of issues to fix about my golf swing. Nowndale was able to address all the issues and teach me the correct way to swing a golf club by using tiger woods as an example. He is a great teacher that also broke down each part of the swing and let me know what I'm suppose to feel throughout the whole swing. These lessons have made me enjoy golf a lot more with my improved swing and also understanding all the reasons why the ball flew the way it did and know where in my swing caused that. Nowndale is very knowledgeable with the game of golf and answered all my golf concerns and is also very patient whenever I don't grasp a concept right away. 10/10 would recommend Nowndale for golf lessons to improve your game!! read more

Nowndale is amazing! I was so nervous trying out this sport and learning how to hit the ball. But he is so great with explaining and helping you improve. He's patient and truly knows how to help you focus on the right things. He's been instrumental in me learning golf and I'm beyond grateful for him!!! read more

Over the course of 10 lessons, Nowndale completely reshaped my swing and my mental approach. He's excellent at breaking down the mechanics, step by step, and bursting some myths about how best to hit a golf ball. He was incredibly patient and easy-going with a relative newbie like me, even when I was whiffing on many of my shots at the beginning. He simplified the whole process, and I have way more confidence in myself now than just a couple of months ago. I think people of any skill level can pick something important up from the Golf Code 360 team, with their excellent technology and instruction. read more

I highly recommend lessons with Nowndale at Golf Code 360 Studio Pasadena for anyone looking to seriously elevate their golf game. I had been taking lessons for about 7 weeks at a big box store in Pasadena with disappointing progress and therefore I wanted to see what else was out there. I had played a little in high school, but my swing needed a lot of work to say the least. I went to Golf Code 360 Studios here in Pasadena for a swing evaluation and 30-minute lesson with Nowndale. I immediately knew this was the place to really elevate your swing and progress. I hit it off really well with Nowndale. He has been incredible to work with, is very polite, friendly, and patient. In just 4 lessons thus far we're already seeing some tremendous progress. Each and every lesson he has gone above and beyond to both teach the swing, but also deliver it in a way that makes sense to me. He knows where to push, what to prioritize, and where to defer until a future lesson. I believe that Golf is all about what you feel, and everyone feels different things differently. Every lesson has been focused on a certain aspect and we're now starting to see it all come together. I much prefer taking these types of lessons in a controlled environment with launch monitors and video recordings. Being able to see your swing in slow motion helps you correlate what you feel to what it looks like, and also how and what to change. The studio they have here in Pasadena is perfect for all of the above. The biomechanically efficient swing that they teach is really neat. I can't wait to continue this progress. Anyone that's willing to put in the time and effort here will see some serious results. I'd encourage you to take them up on the swing evaluation and 30-minute lesson special with Nowndale and then decide for yourself. read more

My wife gifted me a 60-minute session, and what I got out of it was several years' worth of fixes. Simple biomechanical stuff but it made a world of difference. In less than 60 minutes Logan Hofer worked wonders, nearly eliminating my ridiculous sidespin with adjustments to my stance and grip. My shots straightened and the effects easily carried over to the range throughout the following week. A++ service and expertise from Logan. Thank you, my man! read more

Great golf studio that really helps improve your golf game. My son and I have had lessons with Nowndale and he is a great instructor. He has been very patient with us and has helped fix our swings. We look forward to continuing our lessons with Nowndale at Golf Code 360 and improving our golf game. read more

I purchased the 10 lesson pack and I can't say enough good things about Golf Code 360 and more importantly Nowndale. If you're thinking about getting golf lessons please give Golf Code 360 a chance. I'm 19 and I used to play golf when I was younger but I stopped and lost most of my training. I got back into playing consistantly for the past 6 months and with Nowndale's teachings the change in my game has been crazy. With his lessons and the equipment they have available you really start to get a better understanding of what you are doing wrong and how to correct it. From setup, grip, posture to your swing, I now understand the importance of each and how to do them correctly. From where I first started it really has been a night and day differnce. I'm so glad I got lessons here because it really elevated my golf game to another level something I would have never been able to do by myself. Thank you Nowndale. read more

I definitely recommend lessons from Nowndale for your golf improvement needs. As background, I went to the range a couple of times during college. However, I really wanted to take it seriously, and glad to have found Nowndale for this journey. As a teacher, he is very detailed, and provides instruction from various points of view if I am having difficulty understanding a concept or position. With his assistance, I am able to understand the golf swing conceptually, and therefore able to fix my problems outside of instruction. I am currently finishing up my second batch of 5 sessions, but will be definitely be buying more. read more

I think like most golfers starting out, you kind of have no idea what is going on with your swing and as you try to add more things to your swing it just gets out of funk. Nowndale really helped me straighten out my swing by breaking down each part of my swing sequence. He's great at explaining the physics and theory of how each part of the swing should operate and why. And really helped adding ques and feelings you should have in your swing to make it more consistent. Would 100% recommend Nowndale to anyone looking to improve their golf swing or just starting out. I know I'll probably be back when I need a tune up. read more

Highly recommend JOSH!!!!! I started with zero knowledge and was a zero experience newbie, and now I am a regular golfer and enjoying it so much! My friend and I did 10 courses with JOSH together. Josh is very knowledgeable, and patient. He not only knows how to golf but he can teach. He taught the full swing step by step separately, making sure you focus on one thing at a time, and gradually, you will know how to do it right. ‍ and most importantly, He's super encouraging and fun to work with. Making the learning process easier. I am able to hit my 9 iron from 0 to 97 yards now. Super happy with it. read more

I've worked with both Dale and Kevin. Both have the undeniable truth about the golf swing and how to be consistent. Highly recommend, you wont be dissapointed! read more

I highly recommend lessons with Nowndale at the Pasadena location. I began with a 30-minute lesson and swing evaluation, after seeing the state-of-the-art equipment and the multi-faceted approach to addressing my swing mechanics, I decided to sign up for the 5 lesson package at 60 minutes each session. I have just completed my final lesson with Nowndale and have noticed a dramatic improvement in every aspect of my golf swing mechanics, contact, trajectory, and follow through. When I showed up for my initial swing evaluation, I was barely able to make contact at all. I played golf in my high-school days, but have taken over a 10 year break and eventually forgot every aspect of my golf swing. I tried watching various videos online in hopes of eventually finding my groove again, but this route only further confused and frustrated me. Nowndale was kind, patient, and motivating. During our lessons he was able to use slow motion cameras from multiple angles to break down and correct every aspect of my swing. In addition, Nowndale taught me the fundamental foundation which has allowed me to spot and address errors in my swing. Once again, I cannot stress enough how much these lessons with Nowndale have improved my overall golf swing. I am definitely coming back for additional lessons! read more

I recently completed 10 golf lessons at the Golf Code 360 in Pasadena with Nowndale as my instructor and I cannot express how satisfied I am with the results. Before taking lessons I was shooting around 115-120, my shots were going everywhere and I would lose so many golf balls. So my goal was to become more consistent in my swing and break 100. Each session was well-structured, throughout the lessons we covered various aspects of swing mechanics, including grip, stance and most importantly ball contact. Nowndale, took the time to analyze my swing, then to build on developing a better consistent swing, each lesson we would focus on learning a different swing mechanic technique. Nowndale, would identify areas for improvement, and provide personalized feedback when needed. Thanks to his expertise and guidance, my swing has improved significantly. I've gained more consistency which finally allowed me to break 100, gained 10-15 yards on each iron, improved my control, resulting in better accuracy and distance with each shot. One thing I didn't expect to learn was that now I am also able to analysis my shot and understand why the ball went in a certain direction. And with the knowledge I have learned I am able to make corrections immediately on the range or course, this alone has been invaluable to me . These golf lessons truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend Golf Code 360 to anyone looking to enhance their game. read more

Nowndale is awesome. He's experienced and knowledgeable. Makes lessons easy to understand and is patient and supportive. Motivates and inspires me to practice even after having a terrible round at the course. He's also flexible with scheduling. read more

I had lessons over the course of several months with Nowndale. He was excellent. Very patient and very detail oriented. He analyzed my swings each time to give me step by step instruction. I went from being completely novice, not knowing how to hold a club, to being able to hit balls with confidence. Highly recommend! read more

I am so grateful for golf code 360 and my instructor Nowndale. The program is amazing and has improved my golf swing so much! I did the ten lessons and they were worth every penny. Nowndale is the man! He is a great instructor and person. He was very patient and informative. I only have one lesson left and I'm going to miss coming here. I recommend this place to everybody I talk to that plays golf! read more

I've been working with Nowndale for about 5 weeks and am really excited about the progress I've made in such a short time. Nowndale builds your swing from the ground up, going step by step giving you a repeatable process and a foundation to rely on. For the first time I am able to know and feel what I did wrong when I hit a bad shot and am able to correct it on the next swing (which is far superior to my previous method of losing 5 sleeves of balls while over correcting whatever random thing I self diagnosed through a YouTube video). Nowndale has taught me how to find consistency in my swing and where I'm hitting the ball; I'm able to enjoy the game more now because of that. read more

Prior to taking lessons here, my experience with golfing was random driving range trips and playing with friends where I never kept score because my swings were terrible. After signing up, I had the benefit of learning from Nowndale, who basically rebuilt my swing from the ground up. The video technology in the studio showed me how my swing looks and where I needed to make improvements. Now I can swing the clubs with a lot more confidence and actually keep score when I play. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to improve their game. read more

My wife bought me lessons for Christmas. I took lessons because I could figure out what to fix in my swing. Josh was my instructor and he broke my swing down from my grip, posture, club path. Josh is a great instructor, he down to earth and has a great personality. I would highly recommend Josh any day of the week read more
