Mike is also quite a student himself of the various types golf swings out there and has an encyclopedic insight to the different approaches and styles of play. He is very generous with his knowledge and always open to discussing the ideas and approaches to his instruction. From our very first lesson, he made a few small posture and grip adjustments which allowed me to compress my irons resulting in more distance and accuracy. It can get quite busy during peak hours and especially in the summer. There is also an area to practice short pitch shots and a sand trap. A bucket of balls cost a bit more than the average range but the shot tracer is well worth it. The 18 hole course is a bit better than your typical muni course. Greens aren't in the best shape but they are decent for the cost of the round. There is also a proshop with all you need and more to play a round. I highly recommend Alhambra Golf course!

My experience has been far better than that... more like taking 10-14 strokes off my score, after only 4 lessons. I "played golf" for decades but had never taken a lesson. I am 75-years-old. I was initially worried that the golf coach would want to correct 50+ things all at once. Larry Salmi, my coach, only focused on a couple of things things each lesson. Their technology for me is really fun and instructive. While I am still not a "par" golfer, I am, for the most part, keeping it on my fairway. A relief to others on the course, and far more fun for me. Before Golftec I think I had only had 1 par in my life. Now I am disappointed when I don't get at least one birdie and a few pars in a round!

I had a driver fitting today and how I would describe my experience in 3 words is awkward,…read moreunsatisfactory, lukewarm. I was excited to come in to see what is new in the driver technology and to see if I can maybe gain some extra yards on a new club. I hit 5 different brands of drivers and none of them I was told "could beat my current driver" the guy that fit me was chill but he gave me the vibe of he felt like I was wasting his time. I pretty much got a I don't think I can help you and a pat on the back. The silver lining was I got some numbers for my current driver and now can focus on what I can improve. A couple of annoying things were the mat in the fitting bay kept sliding so when I was swinging right before impact the ball would come off the tee. So I was literally hitting the ball as it fell off the tee. Another annoying thing was the fitting is a 1 hour fitting and i basically got taken off because "they couldn't beat my current driver" in 30 minutes. I wish I could've at-least been able to use the bay for the remainder of the time or been comped with a gift card for the half of the price of the fitting. 50$ for a 1 hour fitting.

In May 2025, I went for my 2nd lesson - he continued to reinforced the initial lesson that I had. Then in January 2026, I went for my 3rd lesson to improve my Driving of the ball. The lot has stone pebbles, however there's no parking instruction so, cars are just randomly using up way more space than they need to. Otherwise you have to park on a very crowded street and walk. I was there for a 10 AM class, I walked out at 10:10! The class prior to the 10 AM was still there talking and getting shoes,water, and cleaning up their mats while these students from the next class, we're trying to get in. No teacher was there when I walked out 10 minutes after it was to begin. Also, a dog ran around the studio while some students pet it. Gross! I couldn't take anymore! I left without even doing a workout. I would never go back!!!!!
