Nowndale is truly an amazing golf instructor. The first lesson alone helped me so much. He explains everything so clearly and is very patient. I love the fact that the lessons are indoor and has cameras so that he can show me and I can see what I need to change and work on. AND there's free parking !! Something I was worried about with getting lessons was not getting my money's worth. Sometimes instructors can be very chatty and I don't feel like I'm getting an actual full hour's worth of a lesson. If that is something you're concerned about, please consider Nowndale! Every time I come in for a lesson, it is jam packed with information and practice time. He really focuses on the lesson and your improvement. I feel very comfortable asking him questions (even if they feel silly) and he'll kindly answer and help me understand. I really have nothing negative to say. I've really enjoyed the process of developing the appropriate mechanics for a golf swing from grip to posture to contact to backswing to weight shift. I don't want to sound like I'm hyping Nowndale up.. even though that's quite literally what I'm doing.. but everything that I say here is my complete honest thoughts. I had a previous golf coach, but he wasn't great and I started plateauing and did really, really bad. I got frustrated with golf and I didn't know how to fix my mistakes.. and my ex-coach wasn't helping either so I paused lessons with him. Then my friend recommended me his previous coach, so I went to Nowndale and after just ONE lesson, my game started improving right away I was shook!!! After 2 lessons, my form looked so much better and I kept looking forward to seeing Nowndale the next week after. It was the only thing getting me thru the week, the lessons with him. He's so, so good at explaining the mechanics of the golf swing and how to get you to do exactly what you need to do for the perfect swing. I ask so many questions during my lessons and he's so patient with me and answers all of them, and encourages me to point out my own mistakes and explain to him how I could correct them myself. He genuinely wants to see me improve, and even during my practice sessions when I get frustrated and text him, he tells me to send videos of my swings to see what I'm doing wrong to help correct me. I've been playing bad golf for over ten years. Mainly through YouTube videos and recommendations from friends. In the matter of five lessons, all my fundamentals were improved with Nowndale. Everything from grip, to set-up, to stance, and of course.. the swing. While I have a lot of work ahead, I've had better range and course sessions than I've ever had. While I don't have anything to compare it to, I can't imagine taking golf lessons without video monitors. They have two bays set up with two camera angles each which allows them to review your swing immediately so you can see what you're doing well and what you need to work on. Everyone always says lessons are a great investment if you want to enjoy the golf, and after a 5 pack group lesson with Kevin I couldn't agree more. My partner and I were looking to learn some more solid fundamentals of the golf swing after a year of going out to the course and hitting all kinds of terrible shots and after a couple lessons I can confidently say the swing feels better for both of us and it's making golf so much more fun and less frustrating. One lesson in it already made a difference in realizing that my setup and grip were not great to start with. Kevin is an incredible instructor! My husband and I decided to start golfing this year and Kevin has been able to demystify a very complicated and nuanced game for us as beginners. I had actually taken lessons a long time ago at GolfTec, which wasn't really my jam because there wasn't a lot of explanation, just a guy strapping a harness on me and moving my body around while telling me how many degrees off I was from an ideal swing. I was so turned off on lessons I decided to just use tips I found on TikTok and YouTube to try and improve, but my swing inconsistencies were sucking all of the fun out of my game. I decided I needed to start taking some real lessons again, and luckily GolfCode 360 was nearby. I got paired up with Nowndale and my swing has gotten so much more consistent and repeatable. After picking up golf again after years away from the sport, I decided to take lessons to get better. Nowndale at Golf Code 360 Studio has helped me improve my swing dramatically. No more "over the top" swings that fling the ball all over the course for me. Over many lessons, I rebuilt my swing to be a more consistent ball striker. I am able to hit straight and far with way more consistency than I ever have. Background: Played a little bit during my college years for fun and not serious. I started playing more regularly and getting serious about golf during COVID-19. Handicap was +25 before taking lessons, so I was shooting about 95-100 on the average. Decided to take golf lessons from Golf Code 360 because it is close to my apartment. I liked the privacy of an indoor facility, as opposed to taking lessons from an instructor on a golf course range, where everyone and their mother can watch/listen to your lesson. Don't get me wrong, when I'm on the range, I'm that guy trying to gather pieces of information to help my swing. Clearly that method did not work and I'm glad I chose Golf Code 360. Logan was my instructor and from the swing evaluation, I knew I could trust him. He was confident in what he knew and I could tell he knows what a golf swing needs to look like within your own body. Every person swings a golf club differently, and I liked how he didn't push you for your swing to look like the "perfect" or "tour player" swing. He told me after I signed up for the five 60-minute lessons that five lessons would be adequate to help my swing because my swing was pretty good already. He did not try to over sell, even after I finished my five lessons with him. He did help me with some equipment changes that would help my game and lead me in the right direction with those decisions. After my lessons with Logan, I have lowered my scores and have broken 90 multiple times. I'm happy where my swing is at and thankful for my time there. I came to Golf Code 360 when I first started and had 4 lessons and recently went back to redeem my last lesson with a new instructor just to see what was going on these days. Golf Code 360 is a very opinionated in their curriculum. They have always seemed very trained to go through their set structure. When I first started, this was very helpful but nowadays it feels restrictive. During a lot of the lesson they try to build a mutual trust in the method by illustrating some concepts and then asking if you agree. Unfortunately when I disagreed, I felt the communication really broke down and turned into some bickering. This honestly is the case for a lot of golf instruction, but with great teachers, they are able to smooth this over with either humor, more data to back their claims, or just admitting that they have a set structure they tend to teach within. I was frustrated when the reaction was more of I am right, you are wrong, and even "I'm good at golf" with the obvious implication that he was better than me as though that mattered in the moment. I ended up apologizing for questioning all the stuff, because I felt bad for putting the instructor on edge. Honestly I would rate it lower but I felt given the situation, the instructor did recover his calm. Overall this shop is very opinionated and said somethings I didn't like, but are very structured. I'm sure if you commit to their process, you'll get decent results if your golf is just to play some decent golf. That being said, it was not for me. read more

I started playing golf maybe 3-4 months ago and I can honestly say golf was becoming more frustrating than fun. I got a few coaches but I felt the improvement with them was marginal at best if any. Although I know it's not perfect just yet, I think I'm heading in the right direction and can feel my swing changing from an armsy swing if you will, to a more efficient and effortless swing.
