One of the best lesson I ever had. I've played golf for over 15 years now and decided to take a lesson with Michelle to correct/update my swing. After the first lesson, Michelle identified a few areas that could be improved. Once I narrowed down those areas, my balls no longer went left. I'll be back for another lesson for a refresher and can't be any happier with the results. 10/10

Ask the Community - Golf with Michelle

Do you offer kids lessons? My nephew is visiting from out of state & would like to go "real" golfing (not mini golf). He's never played & I'm a beginner so I thought a joint lesson for 1-2 hour could be fun. Is this something you offer & approx cost?

Since I live in Woodland Hills, CA, and Michelle is located in Rosemead, CA, which is about an hour's drive from me. How does she handle such distances for coaching? Does Michelle come to teach somewhere close by?

Hi! The Rosemead location is currently the only place I teach at. Feel free to check out my website www.golfwithmichelle.com or let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Nowndale is truly an amazing golf instructor…read more The first lesson alone helped me so much. He explains everything so clearly and is very patient. I love the fact that the lessons are indoor and has cameras so that he can show me and I can see what I need to change and work on. AND there's free parking !! Something I was worried about with getting lessons was not getting my money's worth. Sometimes instructors can be very chatty and I don't feel like I'm getting an actual full hour's worth of a lesson. If that is something you're concerned about, please consider Nowndale! Every time I come in for a lesson, it is jam packed with information and practice time. He really focuses on the lesson and your improvement. I feel very comfortable asking him questions (even if they feel silly) and he'll kindly answer and help me understand. I really have nothing negative to say. I have had 5 lessons and each one has been a very positive experience. I still have a lot to learn, but I can definitely say I have improved a lot since starting lessons.

He took the time to walk me through the fundamentals step by step, and what really stood out to me was how he explained not just the how, but the why behind each movement. His ability to break down the physics of the swing in a clear, easy-to-understand way made a huge difference in how quickly I was able to grasp the basics. Beyond that, he's consistently positive and encouraging--especially when I get frustrated. He's quick to remind me to have fun and enjoy the process, which has helped me stay motivated. Every session is well-structured, and he always follows up with drills and a practice plan so I know exactly what to work on between lessons. Even outside of our sessions, he's responsive and generous with his time. I've texted him questions I forgot to ask during our lessons, and he always replies with helpful advice. If you're looking for an instructor who's not only knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in your progress, I can't recommend Nowndale enough.

I still reference those lessons and notes to this day! My swing has been much more consistent thanks to his 8-pack lessons and it even gave us to confidence to do a 9 hole for the first time. We went on hiatus due to life and had some spurts of practice since then, but have been itching to get back into our lessons with Sean. Funny enough, we ran into him recently and immediately starting our 8-pack lessons again with the plan to do his full academy once we get into a good schedule rhythm. His new lessons are even better than before - proving that he is also continuously finding new methods to help golfers improve. I love his use of technology and analogies to provide different perspectives on how to master such a simple, yet difficult motion. My wife and I are excited to continue working with Sean and building our skills and confidence!

The layout of the course is pretty fun but you never know if your ball is going to end up in a dirt patch or not! When we were checking in, the guy who was checking us in for the carts was pretty rude to us as well. Parking: Plenty of parking in their private lot up front. Environment: This review is only for the Whittier Narrows Golf Course Cafe. The cafe is located immediately to the right after you enter the main building (right next to the posted bulletin board). There are a handful of booth seating inside located on the left and the order counter is on the right. The menu is located overhead. We placed our order and grabbed a seat at one of the tables. There are also tables with umbrellas outside the cafe as well. Once the food was ready, the staff member brought it over to our table. The food came in to go containers so if you don't finish it like me, you'll be ready to take it to go. Utensils and condiments are located on the table that's right in front of the cold drinks fridge. What was ordered: - Sausage Breakfast Burrito (tasty and yummy salsa on the side. Also came with a couple hash brown pieces) - Orange Juice (Minute Maid bottle) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. I'll admit, we were kind of skeptical, but the food was surprisingly pretty good. And the price was not too bad for what it's worth. Credit cards are accepted.
