My task in progress because my application is more complicated than normal. I needed an automotive…read moreremote key card. I shopped around but the most value was ordering it online from an automotive remote site. I interacted with Adam and he was able to show up on the early weekend morning. His text are professional and clear, & he included pictures. Mazda even as far back as 2005 (car was delayed as released as an 2006) used a key card. There is a chip in the card and one in the valet key. Mazda blank metal doesn't have all the slots cut into the blank either. Getting the car to go into reprogram mode didn't work because the console said I need two "keys." However there is a chip in both the medal key and card. So one transmitter set will work, or should have. He drove an hour back and forth to get the other generic key and had to modify it with a Dremel rotary tool so that the key would have tolerance to get through the tabs on the ignition. That didn't work and he is coming back next week to try again with just another chipped key. Didn't charge a trip fee for making a round trip, nor for the generic key that didn't work. I will spread the word within the MazdaSpeed group so they can get help if the elect to get the Mazda key card instead of generic. At least have one original card and one generic real key. At this point I elected to tow it to Mazda DG for them to try with my key. Because if I buy theirs, its considered an "installed electronic part," and they won't accept returns. Too risky for $400. If they can do it I just pay for 1/2 hour of programming. Worst case I have to buy their key, mine is also OEM (not eBay/Amazon). His company slogan should be either 'The Locksmith from Lockport,' or 'The Lockport Locksmith.'

They didn't work and I spent HOURS driving back and forth to have them try again, and ultimately to return them), Mark made copies of the key quickly and they worked! and when we needed some springs in our lock fixed, Mark was responsive! He told me he would arrive in about an hour, and about ten minutes out gave me a courtesy call to let me know he was close by. He not only fixed the lock, he also tightened up the screws and the screen door (that would slam shut previously). Mark was courteous, kind, professional and knowledgeable throughout the whole experience. Definitely going with Mark again anytime we have any key/lock needs! Thank you!

I had an excellent experience with Chicago Locksmith and was extremely pleased with the entire…read moreprocess and final results. Because my project involved a custom door replacement that required condo association approval, custom ordering, painting, lock placement, and installation, there were several phases involved. Throughout it all, the team remained professional, responsive, organized, and attentive to detail. Walter, the locksmith technician who handled the project from beginning to end, did an outstanding job. His workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out, and the finished result exceeded my expectations. Chicago Locksmith is lucky to have someone such as Walter that is extremely skilled, professional and pleasant to deal with. I also want to recognize the Chicago Locksmith office staff for their excellent customer service and communication throughout the process. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. Overall, I highly recommend Chicago Locksmith for their professionalism, quality work, and outstanding service.

Perhaps he is of Irish heritage, I never had the opportunity to find out 1) I have seen over 300 photographs of his work This man is the very BEST if you are only looking for a handyman or have no assistance from even an essentially useless husband in the paint or a long hair clogged shower drain 2) Shay is a LIAR I appreciate that he was willing to drive out to The suburbs of Chicago from all the way East in Logan Square His estimate is NOT free as Yelp guaranteed He requires photographs (easy peasy) of the locks as well as *$45* to even come out to take a look He broke the Yelp Guarantee right there Chicago Locksmiths should be banned from Yelp same as nobody should have voted for Trump. There were zero good choices but at least ond was NOT a babbling dementia suffering 90 yeat old 3) Shay claims the his primary concern is home and auto safety If that were actually true then with photos in hand he has zero reason to have a $45 fee to take a look I have zero reason to take issue with Shay - especially his quality of work All that I know is that Shay LIED to Yelp in order to gain business and if that works for him, then I do not give a fxck I shall not be used I have Elite and All-Star status that I EARNED with Yelp and followers Every single one of my Yelp reviews are shared with Google I sincerely hope that my review discourages anybody and everybody from hiring Chicago Locksmiths

I called and emailed and they said they would fix....no one came. When I followed up, they didn't return my voicemails. Then when I emailed, someone replied they would handle and then a mjnute later, I got a recalled email notice (those don't work you know). Anyway, when I hired a new locksmith to fix my lock, he opened the lock to find they used the wrong part and tried to make it fit by using....wait for it....electric tape....in a metal lock. The new locksmith was aghast at the repair and couldn't believe they attempted it. Zero stars.
