Let me start by saying, finding a reputable locksmith is way harder than I expected. Nobody I knew…read morehad a solid recommendation... not even my Facebook moms group, and they usually know everything. That should've been my first clue that this wasn't going to be easy. Most of what I found online felt more like random handymen, and several only took cash, which made things feel a little off. I ended up being referred to Paul by another locksmith who didn't cover my area, and I'm so glad I followed through. Paul was quick to respond, had reasonable rates (especially for same-day service), showed up exactly when he said he would, and knocked the job out fast and efficiently. No drama, no sketchiness, just honest, professional work. Highly recommend Paul if you want someone dependable, fair, and above board. I'll definitely be keeping his info for the future!

Some times it would take me 10 minutes just to get the key in the ignition to start the car. I called the Honda dealer and they quoted me $150.00 over the phone. When I got there the price jumped to $240.00 for a new key/cut/ and program. I was pissed that they did the "bait and switch" on me. I told them to CRAM IT! I called Quick Key in Lombard and talked to Jeff and asked for a ball park quote (lowest to the highest). He told me between $110 to $160 without looking at it. I highly recommend Chicago Locksmiths. Their level of customer service and communication is…read moreexcellent. I called them hoping for a same day appointment. It was late in the day because the original company I called was a no-show. Chicago Locksmiths said they could do it and gave me a same day time window. Excellent communication: The technician called me at the start of the time window to tell me he was on another job, but would be there within 2 hours. This allowed me to get on with my day rather than waiting by the window/the phone (as the other company had left me to do all day). The technician then called me when he had finished the previous job and gave me a time frame of when he would get to me. As it was quite late I decided to reschedule for the next day. The same evening Chicago Locksmiths called me to confirm a next day appointment time. On the morning of my appointment the new technician called to say he was on his way with an ETA for arrival and called when he reached me. The communication was excellent and meant I could do other things because I knew Chicago Locksmith was keeping me updated on the status of my appointment. For the appointment itself, the technician was great. Explained everything, gave me advice on one of the doors which was coming loose off the hinge. Re-keyed my lock quickly and cleaned up afterwards. I will certainly use Chicago Locksmiths again. Great service, and impeccable customer communication!

Perhaps he is of Irish heritage, I never had the opportunity to find out 1) I have seen over 300 photographs of his work This man is the very BEST if you are only looking for a handyman or have no assistance from even an essentially useless husband in the paint or a long hair clogged shower drain 2) Shay is a LIAR I appreciate that he was willing to drive out to The suburbs of Chicago from all the way East in Logan Square His estimate is NOT free as Yelp guaranteed He requires photographs (easy peasy) of the locks as well as *$45* to even come out to take a look He broke the Yelp Guarantee right there Chicago Locksmiths should be banned from Yelp same as nobody should have voted for Trump. There were zero good choices but at least ond was NOT a babbling dementia suffering 90 yeat old 3) Shay claims the his primary concern is home and auto safety If that were actually true then with photos in hand he has zero reason to have a $45 fee to take a look I have zero reason to take issue with Shay - especially his quality of work All that I know is that Shay LIED to Yelp in order to gain business and if that works for him, then I do not give a fxck I shall not be used I have Elite and All-Star status that I EARNED with Yelp and followers Every single one of my Yelp reviews are shared with Google I sincerely hope that my review discourages anybody and everybody from hiring Chicago Locksmiths
