I was recommended to Dr. H by a friend, so I went t online and was able to book an appt for the next day. Dr. Hayes met with me and took the time to listen and dig in to my records. He followed up several times when I alerted him I was feeling worse. He took the time to attempt to recover some recent blood work I had done with another doctor and a chest X-ray I had at Urgent Care a month or so prior. He reviewed all and determined the PA at Urgent Care misdiagnosed my symptoms. He put me on correct meds and within a few days, I started feeling better. He told me to come back a few days later, but I had a commitment already at the time he suggested, so he told me to just come in when it's good for me and he would squeeze me in. What a fantastic doctor. Great bedside manner and very knowledgeable doctor. I highly recommend this wonderful doctor. I feel so much better.

They got my right ear working like new after my first visit, by doing a thorough cleaning of it and my left ear too! This practice is very efficient and easy to work with! You can fill out all the needed paperwork online before your actual visit and also do your check-in online too, before you come in! For each of my 2 visits, I only waited about 5 minutes each time! The Nurse Practitioner who fixed my ears - Allison- did an amazingly thorough job doing so and also prescribed these awesome ear drops called Debrox (which greatly softened some leftover well-embedded wax in my left ear)...she got that leftover, embedded wax out of my left ear in 5 minutes during my 2nd visit! I will definitely be back for my routine ear cleaning each year --and will make sure I never ever again stick anything in my ears to clean them...I'll definitely leave it to Suburban ENT to do that from now on! An added benefit to coming to this location is that their office plaza is next to the awesome Portillo's in Rolling Meadows! Since then I've seen only two primary care doctors (one- two times each if that), choosing them only because they had the earliest availability, not because I had a good connection with them, actually quite the contrary, as one suggested against a routine culture as I was sexually active but not showing ill symptoms. Anyway, I have an appointment for a procedure at a medspa next week and before moving forward with it, I wanted to meet with a new doctor to get a second opinion. I already paid my deposit with the medspa but have 72 hours to cancel it if need be. My primary care doctor (I've only seen once) was booked until September and I was looking to switch anyway. I booked with Dr. Johansson as he was the only doctor who had availability before my med spa appointment and had good reviews. I then received a phone call from his receptionist saying he couldn't take me. I asked why not. She said because "he's the doctor and he said so" and couldn't give me a reason. I was honest and said as long as there's availability with him online I'm going to continue to book until I have a valid reason for cancellation. I'm a paying customer with insurance. When I pushed for an answer, she said one can perceive my actions as 'doctor hopping,' which doctors don't like. I informed her that I had yet to speak with a licensed physician about this concern, as my record can reflect, and that I was just looking for a second opinion not necessarily a prescription. I previously missed an appointment regarding the same issue but the record reflects that I never met or spoke with a doctor. I haven't seen any doctor about anything since April. There was no "I'll let the doctor know" or "I'll have him follow up," it was a complete disregard for patient care. Pretentious, I have the power attitude, and cares more about being right than understanding not everyone situation is black and white. I understand there are patients that 'doctor hop' looking for a certain result but doctors should have the decency to hear a patient out. Patients should have a right to switch to doctors they feel comfortable and safe with, just like patients can switch therapists. Looks like not being able to schedule with him was a blessing in disguise.
