I have a ton of family and family friends in medicine so there's always a plethora of knowledge around me; and different opinions. I went on my insurance website and took down bios for about 20 doctors. From there, I vetted them by specialty, location and reviews.I wanted someone personable, who I could relate to, and most importantly- someone smart who knew what they were talking about. I found everything and more in Dr. Daniel. Dr. Daniel is not only smart but she's fantastic at explaining the chemical processes going on in your body. She teaches for Swedish Covenant so she's well versed in all the common questions (that her residents have). She also believes firmly in the osteopathic approach to medicine. That pretty much means she believes in the "whole body" approach instead of just focusing on the body as separate organs. She has an open mind and believes with going with what works. Finally she is personable and encouraging. We talked about random stuff and she made me feel so comfortable. Making an appointment was simple and the office did not feel like a typical medical office. It's located at a former office/administrative building so there is a ton of marble and wall sconces. The staff is really nice as well. Dr. Daniel definitely has your back- and everything else as well.

I have seen her a couple of times now at the North Shore Immediate Care in Mount Prospect, IL. In between the physical visits, we had a teleconference. In between those, she answered messages via their system. In the past 4 years I have returned to the Chicagoland area, I have seen at least 5 doctors for the same ailments. Each did not meet the basic needs of making me feel as if I were even at the appointment or heard a word I said. Additionally, one doctor said I did not have heart disease (Cardiologist) another said I did. (General Practitioner) As a retired Massage Therapist myself, I know communication is vital to making any decision. Dr. S is on the ball. Not only am I happy she came to that location, but have that feeling of..." finally ". She includes me in the conversation and asks my opinion. She is a Doctor with a higher level of people skills than the others. I highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking quality care. I also enjoy the fact, she has a sense of humor and can banter. She cuts to the chase. No more donuts for me. Yes, she is the Doctor, and I completely respect her knowledge.

The office staff have always been amazing as well! From the medical assistants to the front desk. Can't say enough good things. Always prompt to pick up the phone, short hold times, I can always reach someone which is huge! My appointments are always scheduled, never any issues with that. They inform me promptly if there are any changes to coverage and call for reminders which is nice. Billing is never an issue as well. Overall highly recommend the practice! Dr Peera has been our twins' doctor since their birth (4 years ago) and our kids adore her. We have referred other friends to her who have had the same wonderful experience as we have had. This is not a huge, busy practice where no one will recognize you; everyone knows our kids' names and are super friendly, patient, and agreeable. The office is easy to access in a mixed-use building with a huge free parking lot. The elevators were intolerably slow, but are being replaced. I have not had the same experiences with billing as previous reviews have mentioned. The same office manager has been there for 4 years and, although there has been some turn-over in office assistants and they're getting used to the Advocate system (which they joined in Dec 2018), I have always found her to be reasonable and willing to explain any charges. There was one time when I noticed that we were charged differently for two walk-in appointments; her answer was that the doctors must have performed different exams and therefore coded the procedures differently. That was true; they were totally different exams for totally different illnesses. The quality of the relationship that our children have with their pediatrician is most important to us; if the administrative part is tolerable, then it's worth the effort.
