The veterinarian delivered patient-centered care, and explained the diagnosis and treatment plan with a simple, straightforward explanation. Her recommendations were also very knowledgeable, so we were confident in her expertise. The vet provider even followed up with a well-being check phone call a few days later to see how our pet was doing! That was a pleasant gesture and we felt our vet really cared about our pet. She even prescribed the prescription diet to a nearby animal hospital for pickup instead of ordering online. Overall, excellent service from beginning to end and highly recommend their hospital.

There was sometimes blood in that phlegm. Additionally, my father had died about a week before this. I was very vulnerable- in fact I told this to one of the doctors at BluePearl. I kept preparing to let him go, to put him asleep. He was very uncomfortable and I *knew* my cat. For three weeks, he was getting worse and every time I said I think it's time to discuss end of life services, I was told it wasn't time yet. And I hate that I listened to them. On my cat's last day on earth, I brought in my cat at 8pm to BluePearl. This time I was talking to a different doctor. She kept mentioning different procedures, different treatments. Money was tight at that time. I told her I couldn't possibly afford to do an endoscopy, an MRI, etc. And she said, "I don't care if you can afford it; I need to tell you about these options." Really? Why? I took him home at 10 pm. And were back there at 11pm because he was repeatedly throwing up blood. He was scared and clinging onto me. He died a violent, painful death that was preventable. The doctor who insisted that I needed to hear the options put him to sleep. I will never forget that experience and I vowed *never* to let that happen again. 11 months later, just a few hours ago, I had to put my other cat down; a cat who was not the same after my other cat died. I took her to MedVet on California. She had labored breathing, and wheezing. She had a mass near her heart that was cancerous. And when I told this doctor that I knew my cat and that I had to let her go, the doctor immediately respected my decision, and held my hand. Also at Medvet the urns are part of the price of Euthanasia, so I could get any urn I wanted and it didn't cost extra. BluePearl traumatized me. I will never forget their apathy, their cruelty. And I will never bring any pet to them again. They are deplorable.

My mom was a nurse for many years and has worked alongside many nurses. She raved about how Devonte exhibited the gold standard of the nursing profession. Many nurses get the job done. A select few have job integrity along with excellent people skills. Devonte possesses those qualities. He made our surgical experience pleasantly memorable. We sincerely thank him.

My throat hurt like ****, and i felt like utter garbage. My clinic and internist were booked and i was due to get on a flight to Denver the following morning. Ugh. I googled and found Chicago Express Doctors. The doctor came in, gave me the strep culture which came back positive. He gave me an injection of antibiotics, which i had never had. He also gave me a steroid to decrease my swelling in my neck. He also gave me a Z-pack, sore throat rinse. I never had to leave the house! No runs to the pharmacy, no waiting in lines. IN-CREDIBLE.. i have had strep many times in my life, but never have i felt better so quickly! Honestly, the throat felt better within 3/4 hours. I was able to get on the plane the next morning, felt wonderful. All i can say is WOW. If only all docs did this. I just can't say enough great things about these guys. Fabulous A++++ thank you!!

A nearby hospital closed recently so this ER is always super busy now. The major reason for the…read moreupset is the wait time. It's just a typical bottleneck because of the number of patients and the capacity limitations of the hospital. The doctors and staff are all high quality and great! I was very happy with the care received. But they can't do anything about how long it takes to get in, get treated and get out. The staff here are doing their best. I spent nine hours here tonight but others in the lobby had been there 12 or more when I had just walked in the door and some were still there when I left. There were a few tense moments with people who lost their patience. Somehow witnessing that always reminds me to stay calm and not freak out. Somebody is always feeling worse than you are right now. The only reason someone is yelling is because they are caring for their loved ones. So take care of yourself while you're in here. Talk to the front desk staff. They can help you know what is going on with any lab work, test results. Ask them if it's ok to leave or if you should continue to wait. Whether or not now is a good time to go get some food. You gotta eat! So take a food break if you need to. Stay hydrated. There are nice bathrooms on the other side of the waiting room. It's very cold so bring a sweatshirt, even in the middle of summer! When it's crowded they bring out extra chairs that are hard plastic so bring something soft to sit on and something for lower back support like a rolled up towel if you need it. Because you will need to hunker down to and stay put for several hours to get through it. But we're never in the E.R. by choice.

However, the experience at the second-floor imaging desk was the opposite. The front desk clerk, Marcus J., would get a 0 stars. While trying to locate the MRI department, I was mistakenly sent to the wrong floor. When I approached Marcus for help, there was no greeting--which was fine--but his exaggerated frown and visibly annoyed demeanor were hard to ignore. I understand people have bad days, but his deliberately slow and dismissive attitude bordered on comical. He was unhelpful, uncommunicative, and acted like a petulant child. So glad my appt was on Marcus' floor. I've had great experiences with the X-Ray team on the 2nd but Marcus has no business being on t Northwesterns staff in any capacity.

We had found ourselves ignored at larger city pediatric groups and were recommended to Dr. Weems, a decision that we are thankful for every single day. Dr. Weems is incredibly caring, compassionate, forthright, knowledgeable and brings a down-to-earth, parent-to-parent approach to our daughter's care. There are very few days where we don't talk, check-in and just connect on the happenings in our complicated medical situation. She is always responsive and available no matter the hour. She is the most well networked doctor I've ever met. My daughter needed to see a plastic surgeon for a birthmark removal and I had trouble getting an appointment. Dr. Weems called the surgeon directly and I had an appointment the next day. I have many more stories like this highlighting the ways she's saved us. Best investment and decision we've made! We only have the best things to say!
