Instead of addressing any of those concerns, Dr.Hirani performed a routine allergy test, which later came back negative. She never acknowledged the complexity of my case or explained why the allergy test was chosen over the issues I raised. March2025 visit I returned specifically to discuss persistent post‑exertional malaise and ongoing MCAS‑related symptoms. The conversation quickly became confrontational; after I stopped speaking because I felt unheard, Dr.Hirani asked, "Well, what do you want from me?" I requested MCAS testing. She replied that she didn't think I had MCAS because I didn't have hives, repeated this point while writing the order, and offered no alternative referrals or acknowledgment of what I had spoken to her about. Her demeanor was rude and dismissive, and she provided no guidance toward specialists experienced with complex, multisystem conditions. Outcome After leaving Dr.Hirani's office, I sought another physician who confirmed I do have MCAS. I am now receiving appropriate treatment. Bottom line Dr.Hirani did not engage with the detailed information I provided, dismissed my concerns, and failed to refer me to a colleague with expertise in complex cases. She attempted to make a diagnosis without the benefit of any tests. The practice should investigate, she seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. She didn't have time to listen to me and no surprise that the treatment didn't help. There is nofollow up checks and every visit will be billed fresh for the same treatment. No discussion about the cost of the treatment beforehand and I was billed over $700, it clearly lacked the transparency then paid around $300 after some discounts. Some treatments by the assistants were paid directly there on top of the main charge.

Her name is Dr. Marianne Rosen, and I'm not giving her 5 stars just cuz she went to Northwestern medical school, woot woot. But that doesn't hurt, Go 'Cats! She's hit the nail on the head for 3 issues I have seen her for - hives, a technical condition called angular cheilitis (google it if interested), and most recently basic wintertime eczema. In all three instances, she not only nailed the diagnosis, but also promptly provided the prescriptions, creams, and practices to remedy the issue. I really became a fan after she resolved the angular cheilits for me about a year ago with a blend of 2 prescription creams. I had put up with the cheilitis for about 2 years on and off and even after consultations (and non-resolutions) with my PCP, my allergist, and even ad hoc recommendations from my dentist. I was talking to any medical professional about possible remedies, and fortunately didn't have to find a witch doctor which I was starting to consider. Dr. Rosen has offices in Park Ridge, Glenview, and Wilmette and I have seen her at the first two just based on earliest availability. Her staff is helpful and professional and the Forefront Dermatology practice does like using a text messaging system for communication but they will do it over the phone as well.

The girls in the front are very welcoming and friendly. I take my kids to Dr. Mike for adjustments every couple months and my husband gets his massage from the girls up front.
