My GP refers me to Dr. Alan Wolff, an Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist, and so off I go hoping for a quick fix so I can go on with my life. Instead I got a CT scan, a "wick" inserted in my ear, 3 prescriptions, and several sick days... but the good part is that Dr. Wolff is maybe the nicest doctor I've come across. I felt very confident in his care and he called me several times after my appointment to check up on me (not once, but several! this was very reassuring...especially after I looked up my diagnosis online and starting worrying about the infection spreading to my brain). The office assistants are also fantastic. My insurance company didn't want to approve my CT scan (which was necessary to my diagnosis) for 72 hours, but the office would hear nothing of it and made sure I got the procedure done that day. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wolff for any of your ear, nose, or throat needs. He also has offices in the city, and is a cut above the rest.

Shame on me for not asking if the endoscopy was free. I walked out of the visit after paying my co-pay thinking that was that. A week later I received a bill for almost $700 of which my insurance covered less than half. I called the doctor's billing office five times over the next few weeks and was always told someone would call me back after speaking with the doctor. Nobody ever did. Finally, the doctor agreed to knock 20% off the bill as a "professional courtesy." Sorry, but true courtesy would have included an upfront description of the price of the procedure. Beware!

They got my right ear working like new after my first visit, by doing a thorough cleaning of it and my left ear too! This practice is very efficient and easy to work with! You can fill out all the needed paperwork online before your actual visit and also do your check-in online too, before you come in! For each of my 2 visits, I only waited about 5 minutes each time! The Nurse Practitioner who fixed my ears - Allison- did an amazingly thorough job doing so and also prescribed these awesome ear drops called Debrox (which greatly softened some leftover well-embedded wax in my left ear)...she got that leftover, embedded wax out of my left ear in 5 minutes during my 2nd visit! I will definitely be back for my routine ear cleaning each year --and will make sure I never ever again stick anything in my ears to clean them...I'll definitely leave it to Suburban ENT to do that from now on! An added benefit to coming to this location is that their office plaza is next to the awesome Portillo's in Rolling Meadows! What better way to celebrate a great doctor's office visit than a big delicious meal at Portillo's?!?!
