    Peter is very knowledgeable and respectful . I went into the store because my boys love fish and reptiles , I am so afraid of that stuff but he was so sweet and made me feel comfortable in the store . The boys got to hold a few bearded dragons with my husband. We will be back to buy our fish tanks and new fishies . Thank you so much Peter

    Avoid at all costs. All the other one star reviews are correct. Not sure how this store is allowed to operate. You can't walk down any of the aisles because there is old products stacked up to the ceiling. Apparently they expanded to the adjoining store at one point for more room and it's filled to the ceiling with random stuff. Everything is covered in inches of dust. The animals do seem to be marginally taken care of but some crowded into tanks (like 12 medium size corn snakes all in a 20 gallon), which are either stacked on top of each other or just on piles of paperwork. Employees can't even go behind the counter to ring you up, because the counter is full of years of old mail and behind it is even more dusty stuff. They really should be shut down. How did it get like this?!

    What a shithole! Crap EVERYWHERE, fish with clamped fins, tanks with murky water. Poor selection. Don't waste your time!

    It's a good place to get some good deals on supplies even with the fish. The only thing it is cluttered and a mess. I don't mind that.

I called ahead of time to ask what fish would be best for the tank setup we have already and the staff members were so knowledgeable and patient with our kiddo while he chose the fish he wanted. The store lowkey looks like a mad scientist's lab, but in the best way! The tanks were clean and there were obvious quarantine procedures taking place. They have a beautiful and expansive assortment of freshwater and saltwater fish and other marine animals, tank equipment, and aquarium/tank decor. The staff member checking us out gave us a little discount when he heard the purchases were for our kid's birthday. My son loves his new fish and I'm so glad we decided to go to CK instead of a large pet store corporation! Huge shout out again to the staff! I highly recommend getting your aquatic needs fulfilled at CK Fish World!

    I've had mixed experiences at CK Fish World. My husband comes in regularly to test his fish tank…read morewater, buy water, and occasionally purchase fish. Unfortunately, he's noticed inconsistent customer service. At times, the staff--especially who he believes may be the owner--can come off as rude or dismissive. There have been instances where he felt ignored while waiting for help, which can be frustrating as a returning customer. That said, not everyone there is like that. He mentioned that the woman working there is always kind and respectful, and there's another male employee who is helpful and provides great service when he's around. Because of the inconsistency, it's hard to fully recommend the shop, but when you do get help from the right staff, the experience is much better. Hoping they can improve overall customer service to match the good experiences we've had with certain employees.

    I'm really disappointed with the grooming service at PETCO lately. Been taking my dog here for…read morenearly two years and sadly the previous groomer left. While the new groomer seems nice and does a decent job, but the pricing and management make no sense. I used to pay no more than $60 monthly for the service and now PETCO pushed me into paying extra for their "VIP" service because they said my dog took too much time. Ok fine, but then now they started adding even more charges every 15 minutes just to brush my dog's hair. Isn't brushing supposed to already be part of grooming -- especially when paying for VIP service? Now each grooming visit already comes out to over $100, and that's AFTER the Vital Care Premium discounts are applied. When I brought it up to the manager, I was told my dog took too much of the groomer's time and they couldn't service other dogs at the same time. That explanation honestly makes no sense to me. Why would one groomer be handling multiple dogs during the same appointment anyway? Shouldn't the groomer focus on finishing one dog properly before moving to the next? I understand some dogs take longer, and I don't mind waiting if my dog is being cared for correctly. What I do mind is feeling constantly upsold and hit with surprise charges after already paying premium prices. Definitely not the experience I expected.

At first the staff are friendly and are helpful. Not pushy for sales and for the most part, they try to make you feel welcomed. I kept coming back because it's convenient for me to come after work and they had the same loyalty program I was used to when I worked at a pet store myself. It's a mom and pop shop which I like to support small businesses. Today I come by to buy dog food and it seemed like they never accounted for the last couple large dog food bags I purchased in the previous visits. The white guy helping us check out didn't even bother to find ways to resolve the issue but to let me go frustrated. In this economy right now everyone's having an hard time which is why it is important to me to make sure I'm spending it and actually getting the benefits from the loyalty program. I understand people make mistakes which is why I figured ok, why not just show them to transactions from my bank statements to verify the receipts in their system. I go back to the store where the same guy redirects me back to the owner Ken. At first Ken tries to resolve the issue by backtracking the transactions in Astro but of course it wouldn't be there because it was never inputted to begin with. He goes on the other system and doesn't even bother trying to shuffle through anything. Telling me he doesn't have time and how he always does it for his customers and it's better I just grab the one bag and he'll only credit that one. As a business owner, you would assume that you'd want to resolve whatever issues your customers have within the store especially if it's a matter of them coming back in the future. To add onto the fact of him saying
