My daughters were eager to get a new pet and decided on a bearded dragon. Since we didn't know much about this species, I took them to PetSmart to check if they had any available for sale. Luckily, they had just received a few young dragons, and they were on sale as well. We were greeted by a very friendly sales representative (I wish I could remember his name) who not only showed us the reptiles but was also very knowledgeable about the species. It didn't take long for my daughters to be convinced that this was the right pet for us, and soon we were on our way home with our new companion. Overall, the experience was easy and enjoyable. I went there (Eastland) looking to buy prescription diet for my very sick dog at home who has been sick for over a week. My vet told me to go directly to pet smart and buy her food ASAP because she needed it tonight . I walked in and asked the cashier to clarify the procedure to purchase prescription food. She told me to walk back to ban-field and they have to write me a prescription card and then I could purchase the food. I walked back there and of course there were no employees at the counter. I waited patiently approximately 20 minutes with not one employee coming to help or tell me they would be with when available. I walked back to the cashier and asked if they were open because I could hear several females laughing but nobody came out to help me. I asked if she could tell them they had a customer waiting. She said she could not communicate with them but said she would send someone to knock on their door and let them know I was there. She also informed me that they could see me standing there with their cameras . I waited another 10 minutes and nothing and no employee came to knock on the door as promised . I then decided to call ban-field directly because I could still hear them all laughing and carrying on about their personal problems . A female answered the phone and I asked her if she could send someone to help me at the counter. She answered very rudely that she was busy. What happened to having compassion for customers and sick pets. You ladies should be ashamed of yourselves. All I wanted was some direction on how to purchase the food for my sick baby at home. I then drove to the Glendora pets mart. A female Michelle from Ban-field put me on hold for 12 minutes then hung up on me. I called back and she said to ask the pet smart employee not her. I walked in and thankfully I was met by a kind employee at the front named Tiffany. Thank you so much for your help and compassion. She helped me and escorted me to where the food was at and filled out a prescription card for me. She said ban-field will only fill out cards if they prescribe it. She checked all the stores who had what I needed in stock and went way out of her way to help me with my situation. I told her what a happened to me and she apologized for their behavior. I started taking my puppy here to get groomed when it was hard to get her in with the private groomer. We love Maddy! She's so sweet and she always takes the time to understand what kind of cut we want. I love that she remembers my baby when we chose this location. We could do without Natasha who is a bit rude. Came to petsmart to pick up my cats from Banfield (which I love ) decided to take a look at the adoptable kitties while we waited for ours to be brought out. This kitty in particular has clear signs of an upper respiratory infection he's gasping for air and it doesn't look like he's being tended to at all he has boogers on his fur and the wall as well as gasping for air. Not sure what's going on here but they really need to up their care taking at this location seems like they just drop the cats in there and call it a day. I'd like to clarify this post is in no way related to Banfield I was told they are not aloud to tend to the adoptable pets and they are only able to be treated by the rescue organization. I did mention the bleeding cat to one of the petsmart workers and she did alert someone so I hope it is taken care of as for the sick kitty I was told he'd probably be picked up the following day to be treated hope that is in the case. Lastly I just want to say I do like petsmart as a store the workers are always very nice the adoption center however could use some work read more

I needed to use the bathroom and when I asked for the code to the bathroom I was told to go next door. The manager told me that the bathroom weren't for customers, I would not have expected PetSmart would not have bathrooms for paying customers. I booked an appt at 6pm (the slot was available online) to have my dog groomed. I receive a phone call from the groomer asking if I would like to come in earlier because she has other dogs scheduled at the same time as my dog. I said no I have a 6pm because it is convenient for me. She kept insisting that I come in earlier, to give her enough time to groom my dog due to her age (?). I told her no, I would go elsewhere. And you should honor your online appts. If you can't handle the overbooking then don't do it. So upset. I scheduled at Petco instead- no issues there. read more

My husband and i visited this store because we wanted to buy feeding fishes for our exotic fish. First of all him and I were waiting by the fish tanks for more than 10 minutes and there was a employee that didn't even bother to ask us if we needed help or not even a "welcome" or "I'll be right with you" NOTHING!! We took our Old English Sheepdog for a bath & a trim. We asked Lexie H. to scissor cut, as any trained groomer should know about OES. I pointed out that he had only a few small tangles on his chest/neck area (not widespread, as I brushed it that morning) where his harness goes. When she complained, I showed how his head was combed daily & to leave it alone because we put in a hair tie sometimes. Should've listened to my gut after she tried to say he wasn't brushed. She'd called to complain that when she was trying to trim under his neck he growled, so I told her to leave that area alone. He is not a biter, but don't continue if it's an issue... But when we picked him up, he was shaved & they charged $227 after 2.5 hours. This particular groomer is just totally clueless!! Her excuse after was that he would look uneven if she followed what I wanted. No consideration for what was explained multiple times. Literally no one has recognized him! ***Update: Steve the manager initially said he was working on a 50% refund with corporate after apologizing multiple times -- which turned into $50 off only. Our go to store for our pets necessities, as well as her puppy training , for the most part it seems like we do better at home with the training than what we paid for but hey nonetheless it's only been the second class I guess we should wait to see the final outcome ... other than that the service we got first time coming here the other day was great he helped us out signed us up quick for the classes as well and got us right now on out . The only thing I would say is some items are a little overpriced where I can either go on other websites like Amazon etc and find the same exact name brand merchandise for cheaper . I never asked if they priced matched but I guess that's something to ask for next time around . One thing for certain is the fish tanks here are forsure over priced oppose to fish aquariums I've been to in Ontario off mission between grove and Milliken. This is the second time I come to pet smart in WC., the drive is a little further than the Pet-smart in Glendora. However pet Gromming in Glendora is always booked. So I decided to give WC Pet Smart a call. They had availability the same week, and they were able to provide all the other extra things I requested for my dog. We'll nothing says good quality like pet smart in WC. I was so satisfied with everything they did for my doggie. They called me during the day to let me know that she was doing so good. I truly appreciated that, and this is why when you get good service you should always give a good tip. I got there 10 minutes before her time was up and I was able to see how well she behaved and stood there as she got dried up. And best of all she had two red bows. So cute! My Cinderella! Come up with arbitrary reasons as to why they couldn't cut my dogs hair and when they returned him to me he was soaking wet and all they said was "oh he must have tipped his water bowl", and didn't even offer to dry him properly. So they not only didn't groom my dog but returned him in worse condition and didn't even apologize. Never going to this place again or any PetSmart for that matter. Worst customer service. I called their branch dec 12 late afternoon already to inquire re. Photo with Santa. The guy ( which I didn't get the name) told me just to come in no need for an appointment I even asked him are you sure? He said yes just come. So we decide to be early 30 minutes (1:30pm) just 3 of us in the line that time. 2:00 came and the lady I think she is the manager told me I should make an appointment so I told her what was told to me by their own staff and she just replied to me yes you can be in the line but we have to finished the one that is scheduled. Which is we have to wait for I don't know how long since the like was long already. Even couple of fur parents where there doesn't mind for us to have picture. Also their Pet Clinic says my dog prescription has expired and they said my dog needs to see a Veterinarian to get a new prescription. this petsmart is smaller BUT the team members Ben, Taylor, Jonathan, April, and Brent are amazing!!! they make your experience so much better and are always happy to help. Ben and April truly care about the animals and Taylor is so sweet with an amazing personality!!! the training is amazing! they value positive reinforcement and remain professional throughout the whole class. i got lucky with having a class size of 3 dogs (including my malinois with her being the youngest pup at 5 months). the training isnt difficult at all and we spend a good amount of time (hour session) going over homework, doing warmups, and practicing with the trainer. he really values working with the dogs one on one which i find helpful. overall this petsmart and the training is a great way to socialize your dog and i highly recommend coming here!!! also theres kitties galore with adoptions everytime i go read more

I used to love bringing my dog to get groomed. There was a certain groomer (Marco) who did a fantastic job with her. I hadnt been able to book with him, not sure if he's still even there. So i booked her with someone else and OMG, she was butchered she is soo uneven, just looks like she was ran over with a lawn mower. I know her hair will grow back, but never again. Waste of time. Went to go drop off my dog. They said he needed calming treats so i bought and gave him some treats. They took him in. 10 minutes later I'm down the freeway, I get a call saying the he's going to rip his paws off because he's kennel scratching. So I pick him. What of waste of 2 hours. Came into look for a larger terrarium for Bearded Dragon, Spike! Jonathan was at the front and welcomed us. He was helpful and directed us to where we needed to go. We found a 40 gallon and was so excited when he told us it was on clearance as well. He helped us carry it up, find reptile carpet for it and even took it to the car with another young man. Customer service like Jonathan offered is hard to come by when you go to pet stores these days. They usually stand at the counter and have little interaction with customers. So I've never had any issues with this place in terms of purchasing products dog food, treats, beds, shampoo ect. However, we were super excited to get our 4 year old a fish for completing his "chores, being good in school" ect. I asked to buy a .22 CENT goldfish for a HUGE glass bowl I had at home. I was grilled by 2 different employees on my tank size, intended fish habitat ect. I simply said "I have a huge bowl that is fine for a goldfish. I would like to buy a 22 CENT fish and some food" . They told me unless I could specify tank size and what kind of pump I had they would not sell it to me. They had to make sure the fish was going to a good home are you kidding me?!? Oh and she, the marine biologist, sea creature specialist told me gold fish will live 30 years and get 10 feet long!!! Again, this was a feeder fish half the size of my thumb! I should've told them I was buying it to feed to a bigger fish!!! The thing that was the worst was watching my son catch an attitude by these "pro animal" employees.
