I been coming here ever since I moved out here 4years ago and this is 1 of the best place to get fish the owner is very helpful and answers all my fish questions and the prices a very reasonable

update, can't recommend highly enough, he cares so much about his fish, and mine. So grateful for his help as a beginning aquarium owner.

He sold me sick fish little did I know when I get home my fish died and my other two maroon clown and pajama cardinal covered with ich (white spot disease) watch out what your looking for. I give it 3-5 just for being nice.

John set us up with water testing (our tank was poorly balanced) and even gave us cycled tank water before adding in our fish.

John is incredibly kind and loves helping out new fish enthusiasts. We started with a betta 3 years ago and now have a 5 gallon set up with a variety of freshwater fish. We had a loss when perfa water change and John helped us test and balance our water before putting in replacements. He's been in business 30 years and always a pleasure to chat with.

This place is my go to! There are a lot of varieties of fish that are pretty to look at and healthy. I bought kuhli loaches and cardinal tetras here a few months back and they're all still doing really well, no problems. The prices are also fair for the types of fish here.

SUPER SAD AND CRUEL This is really disturbing I have a video of mice eating other mice. I don't know if there sick but this is really cruel there are also other dead mice in that case.We did advise the person working and they just grinned so CRUEL.

This afternoon I spent $5.50 to buy small (50ct) mealworms. Got home and discovered about half are dead and the other half are barely moving. I can tell they've long been dead too, by how dark they are. Other shops in Upland sell for half the price and last weeks. This shop didn't have dates marked on the container. Total waste of my money. Recommend you buy your mealworms elsewhere.

My clown loach. He's very healthy

I can't imagine how busy they must be, so I can excuse the some dust here and there. Surprisingly though, with the amount of animals that they have there, especially BIRDS, it did NOT smell, so big kudos for that. Yes, they have reptiles here, lots of beardies, crested geckos of all sizes, morphs, with and without tails, a frilled lizard, rock iguanas, various snakes, and honestly THE MOST chameleons, especially large ones that I HAVE EVER SEEN even at a reptile shop, so if you're looking for chameleons this might actually be the place. There's a lot of cohabitation going on, but honestly, aside from the East Bay Vivarium, due to lack of space and funding, this is an unfortunate aspect that can't be avoided... They also have lots of birds including parrots of all sizes, cockatiels, finches, and even a chicken. They're kept in a very tall, big display coop which is pretty cool. There aren't really any bird shops in the area (the most exotic you'll get are aquarium shops and SOME reptile ones), so if you have feathered friends, this is the place to go. I LOVE that they have prepackaged feed specifically for different species. Made by the business owners for sure and they also have a good amount of feeders too. For mammals they have some hamsters, bunnies, and guinea pigs. For inverts, they have tarantulas and scorpions. There's a good variety of pet supplies here too (some dog and cat items too) that I don't see at other places, so that's neat too.

Customers are left wandering the store while employees sit behind the counter eating and socializing with one another. When the shop was located across the street, the staff was attentive and welcoming. The difference in service now is disappointing. During my most recent visit, there was an employee with dark hair standing behind the counter while the entry alarm clearly signaled that customers were coming in, yet no acknowledgment was made. At this point, I would recommend saving your time and choosing another option.

I breed birds as a hobby and this is my go-to place for everything I need. I recommend this store on social media bird groups and to everyone else I meet who need cages, food, and supplies. The quality and prices are unbeatable. A lot of my friends and family come here I won't feed my birds anything other than magnolias seed. A 25-lb bag of high quality parakeet food is around $17 here, and I can even get 50-lb bag for about $30. You won't find prices like that anywhere else, and even the most expensive seed online or at big-box pet stores doesn't come close in quantity or quality and will cost you 4x as much. On the rare occasion I've run out and had to buy seed elsewhere, my birds wouldn't even touch the dyed and pesticide filled garbage from the big stores. Their nest boxes are also the absolute best! My birds will only lay eggs in their boxes for some reason. They are thoughtfully and well made and even have concave bottoms ! Over time I've bought about 15 cages here, along with 3 stands, dozens of nest boxes, a lot of birds, toys, water and food dispensers, medicine, supplements and accessories. I've been here well over 30 times and have spent thousands of dollars. Everything I have bought has held up great! No regrets. All birds are still healthy and breeding. The older gentlemen you will find here has been an absolute godsend. His knowledge and willingness to help with advice has saved many of my birds and helped me reach my breeding goals. He's truly the go-to person for anything bird-related, but just walking through the aviaries to see the beautiful birds here, is worth the drive alone. The only kink in this place is, as you'll see in other reviews, is the older ladies at the registers can be rude and dismissive. If you have thin skin, there is one lady in particular who might really hurt your feelings. The first time we came in, my husband and I almost walked out leaving $300 of merchandise/birds on the counter because she rolled her eyes and scoffed at us when we couldn't find the location of a product. She then made us feel like 2nd class citizens during the entire checkout process. My husband and I still laugh about it because it was so bizzare. Anyhow, I am a die hard loyal customer and it's still the same thing everytime I go to that register. Though its felt personal at times, I've learned that this is likely not the case. She was the same way to my best friend and my sister when they came in to buy things for their birds . This place is old school in that way so don't take it personal or waste your time feeling offended. Put your feelings in your pocket before you go to the register and don't miss out on this gem for bird lovers. Magnolia bird farm is hands down the only place I recommend for bird supplies and birds.

When we went to the Bird Farm, there was no shortage of help and knowledgeable staff. Their pricing for the birds, food, cages, and toys were lower than the other places we visited.
