you need to think twice about ordering a kitchen from this place. I ordered a kitchen here and it was a disaster from day one. The manager is a joke he has no clue what he is doing. The person they sent out to measure for the new cabinets measured everything wrong witch resulted in draws not being able to open and dishwasher and stove not being able to open properly. The countertop people had to come out 3 times to fix the countertop because it was measured wrong. The manager won't even respond to our calls. Not a good way to do business Golden Source Kitchens. Think twice before you go here. Be warned.

Cabinets, countertop and backsplash were all purchased at Golden Source

I will preface this with, I rarely give reviews. Working with Golden source began because of an ad on IG. My husband and I went out to the store, we live in the Bronx (about 50 minutes away) to check out what options they had that met our budget. We looked up the reviews. Which weren't really helpful. Some were glowing some were awful. We decided to go with GS, because we felt we liked the one stop shop for everything. Their showroom is spectacular and comprehensive. You're not pressured if you're looking around and opening and closing cabinets and drawers. My husband loved they always had sealed pastries and coffee he could make (in a covid world, that's key!) We began working with Doug, who was really great, he was patient and very knowledgeable. He was able to do the initial plans of our kitchen off of random photos, because we didn't know how to measure. He gave us his work cell, walked us around the show room, showed us options, all great! We said we'd think about it, checked out a few other places, but ultimately decided to go with GS. We went back and began the official process in August of 2020 but with someone else who no longer works at GS. We had a few very frustrating hiccups with deliveries and things not being ordered, that should have been ordered. I had a sink base cabinet that came broken (which happens and is nobody's fault) that delayed us about a month. Then my stone was out of stock. Now, these are all things that aren't the fault of anyone in particular however I am all about transparency and communication. Things happen, plans change, and we roll with the punches, but I felt I had to call GS before anything happened. I am very lucky that I had a great contractor (not associated with GS) who was awesome and patient. My kitchen was not fully complete until November. The upfront work of designing and supporting us with designing the kitchen was a 5* Ordering what needed to be ordered 3.5* Timeliness of the project 3* (i know there are production delays) Communication and transparency after the fact 2* The actual cabinet construction is great, the hinges are awesome, the tile and stone are beautiful. I would recommend this company, and will use them again.

    Just a horrible experience!

If I could leave 0 stars or negative stars I would. This business absolutely lacks customer service skills, systems and organization. My cabinets came in wrong - for example- the left cabinet's hinges are supposed to be on the left side. On all 4 occasions, they continued to send it on the right. When I asked for a replacement, their response was to just remove it and drill the holes on the other side, leaving noticeable holes in the cabinet. In addition, the cabinets were manufactured incorrectly. They gave me new panels and basically said that I had to unscrew and do the work myself! On all 4 occasions, I had to pick up the items from their warehouse in Paterson. I live 45 minutes away. Save yourself the hassle, money, and don't waste your time on this company.

We had to go with all new cabinets, new counter choices and more, and John guided us patiently through the entire process, helping us choose the best options for us, from overall style, color scheme, and materials. When we had to make decisions while out of town, again, John came to the rescue -- he showed us designs via FaceTime, and when we weren't sure which granite to choose (all long-distance!), we trusted him to help us decide on which one worked best. He was accessible and beyond patient when we kept fretting about this or that detail. The folks behind the scenes were amazing to work with too: Tania and David at the quarry, who designed the granite slabs and backsplash to highlight the beautiful natural stone, and Slawek, whose expertise with cabinetry is above and beyond. The kitchen came together beautifully, with a keen eye to design, professionalism, exquisite craftsmanship, while maximizing use of every inch of space. Many thanks to John and his entire team for giving us our new dream kitchen: tiny but mighty!

I was impressed with their service and selection and had no idea when I walked in what was the appropriate tile needed for floor and walls in a bathroom. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and explained the different types of tiles and helped me find selections that matched my vision. The showroom is huge with an extensive selection which makes it overwhelming but with Berna's help I was in and out within the hour. The delivery charge was reasonable and ability to schedule as needed. It's a little hard to find (around the back of another business) but well worth finding this place. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking quality tiles and expert assistance for their home projects. Thank you Tile Stone Depot and Berna!

I was doing a bathroom remodel and after the purchase, a wrong item was delivered. It was already installed when I discovered the error and not my contractors fault I called to see what can be done and I was told by the sales person they can give me the correct item but it was up to me to reinstall it at my cost. I raised this to the store manager and then to the district office (General Plumbing Supply) only to be told that it was my fault and that I should have checked the box upon delivery. Okay so perhaps maybe, but no one told me when I made the purchase. My advice, when you get delivery, ask the driver to wait, open up all the boxes, remove all the packaging, check the item and all the parts. Not sure a delivery person would wait for that but that is what I was told to do. Oh, and the district manager told me that I got the right item for my project. Hmmm, is he using my bathroom? Does he know my design? Does he know what I need? Don't think so. I was offered NO compensation just, sorry, but this is your fault. Love a business that blames the customer. I am still ecstatic about the result -- I mean like I still smile every time I walk into the kitchen and open the fridge door!! Fast forward to Thanksgiving 2022... 4 year old grandson decides to throw something and dented the kick panel under the refrigerator. I was really something rather minor... but my OCD was kicking in big time, so I gave Rissa a call and she sorted it out... and I mean WAY over and above sorted it out. I have rarely ever been as happy with a vendor / provider -- while I had expected the worst, it was very much the opposite -- they have not yet invented words to describe how much I think this firm has some of the best "after sale support" [and we're talking a LOT of years past the actual sale!!]. While I doubt I'll be replacing a kitchen again anytime soon... if anyone ever asks me for a recommendation, there will be zero hesitation on this recommendation.

We worked with Kuche + Cucina for a kitchen remodel in Manhattan and also worked with another…read morerenovation group for the rest of the apartment. We really enjoyed working with Carmi to establish the design and that process was very painless and flexible. We were set to start on renovations in early 2020 however with COVID, we had to delay our renovations due to the building's policy. Kuche+Cucina was super understanding and held our cabinets for us until we were ready and felt comfortable with proceeding with renovations given the circumstances. However, the main reason that this is a 3 star review is that we definitely had some issues working with the renovation coordinator. Though I think we were all in unfamiliar waters with the pandemic I definitely felt like there were quite a few times when the ball was dropped on their side. For example we weren't told in advance that our contractor would need to move certain outlets in order for the cabinets to be installed even though we had asked explicitly beforehand if there was anything that needed to be done in advance. This caused delays in the whole process and required the other renovation company to schedule last minute changes around them which luckily they had no issue with. There were also multiple times that we were asked for information in an urgent manner that we had already provided prior which made the process quite stressful. In addition it seemed like coordination between Kuche+Cucina and the actual workers was a bit messy and just confusing in general. We would be asked one thing by the workers and be told by Kuche+Cucina to just not worry about it. But then later it would come up as a last minute problem and Kuche+Cucina seemed just as confused as we were and said that this was an issue with the contractors rather than take responsibility for their poor communication with their contractors. I expected a profession kitchen renovation company to be more organized especially for a relatively straightforward cabinet installation. Some requests were also totally ignored. For example, we requested that a soap dispenser hole be made in the countertop we ordered and received confirmation from the group but no hole was ever made. It's not really a huge deal to us but it's definitely just one example of many small communication issues that we had with Kuche+Cucina and the communication between them and their contractors. Meanwhile the other renovation company that we worked with for the rest of the apartment work was super communicative and easy to work with even when we hit unexpected road bumps. Since all this occurred during an unprecedented pandemic I would take our experience with a grain of salt but we probably wouldn't choose to work with Kuche+Cucina in the future.
