After having a less than stellar experience with a company that was recommended by a neighbor, we researched Carpets 46 and emailed Luke. He quickly replied and the next day I was at his store. Funny thing, I realized he had been recommended to me by a co-worker earlier in the year. Luke is extremely personable and well versed in the world of carpets and flooring. Not only are their carpets stunning, and the installation and clean up flawless-- these guys make the impossible POSSIBLE. I wanted to get wall to wall carpeting done in two rooms in my new home (including walk in closets and a hall closet) and I had to do it after the painters were done, and before I moved in. And I had less than three weeks. Meaning, they had to get the carpet from Georgia, get it delivered, and then get in installed on a tight schedule with painters. If I could give 10 stars I would. Absolutely top notch experience from Luke and team. My wife and I live on the UWS in Manhattan and took a shot in the dark that a company in NJ would be willing to assist. Let alone a fairly unique task as we live in a duplex and needed carpeting for our hallway down a curvy staircase. Luke spent an hour on the phone with me (after hours, mind you), texting me drawings of designs and helping come up with a strategy within our budget. From there, we came out to the shop to view the carpets, great quality selection I might add. Luke really knows his stuff, he went into detail on all the types of fabrics/materials good for babies, pets etc. You really get the family owned business feel with him and it's clear how they've earned all the other 5 star reviews. To round out the perfect experience, Luke's team came the morning after a holiday and got the job done in what felt like no time (I think an hour or 2 tops). It looks and feels perfect. As you may find there aren't many anymore. Enter Carpets 46. What carpet store has this many 5 star reviews? I knew I had to check things out. After work one day (yes, they have some days with later hours), I felt inspired and made the 35 min trek to carpets 46. In an unassuming strip mall lies a very well stocked carpet and flooring showroom with just the right amount of options. If your like me and can get overwhelmed by too many options, Luke and the Carpets 46 crew have already cut out all the nonsense and low quality product. I didn't make an appointment and Luke was very accommodating. We went over some options and styles and Luke made the decision so easy. We picked a beautiful carpet, he had color swatches for major paint brands and made sure the carpet went well. Put down a deposit when Luke came to take the measurements, and scheduled an installation date. Every part of this process was easy and personal. The installers were great, knocked it out in less that 4 hours. AND THEY VACUUMED AND CLEANED UP! I'm ecstatic over this carpet and I never thought I'd say that!
