I had a small carpet repair done around a new staircase, and Luke was extremely responsive. He was able to work me into his schedule within one business day, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be using Luke again for larger projects in the future. His crew was courteous, kind, efficient, and affordable, and they did an excellent job. The carpet store I had relied on for decades closed. I procrastinated just a little too long and they retired. I googled a carpet store in my area. I chose Carpets 46 for their glowing reviews and the fact that it was a family business, what I was used to dealing with. I made an appointment with Luke. I was inspired by the beautiful choices and left loving my choice but hoping I made the right one. Luke arrived at my home to measure and brought the showroom sample, confirming it was the right choice. Installation happened sooner than I expected and I couldn't be happier. It's beautiful. I love the way it feels on my feet. Makes my cosy little bedroom feel even warmer and more inviting. While this place isn't up the block, like my last one, it's definitely worth the trip. I'm thrilled that out of all the google suggestions, I was lucky to find this gem. read more

From my first phone call I knew I was speaking to a trusted company who knew what they were doing. Luke, the owner asked me questions to understand what I was looking for, how much I wanted to spend and gave me suggestions I never even considered based on my responses. I went to his store and he showed me what he thought I would want, again based on just our phone call and he was on point. He then came to schedule a home visit to measure it and then it was installed. The installers were professional, on time and did a fantastic job. The best part is that it was completely affordable. The entire experience was truly very enjoyable because I truly trusted them from the beginning. Thank you Luke and team for a really great job. It's almost like we have a new home. I would recommend Carpets 46 100%!! read more

Had a great time working with Luke on replacing the 15 year old carpet in my rental. I gave him a rough estimate of the bedroom size and he gave me an instant quote. He then explained the various options, the installation process and what would be the best option for me. On his recommendation, I went with "Wood Chips" and it looks great. He even coordinated everything with my tenants directly so this was probably the easiest thing I've ever had to do in my rental apartment. Fair price, great service and no last-min surprises. Thanks Luke! read more

After having a less than stellar experience with a company that was recommended by a neighbor, we researched Carpets 46 and emailed Luke. He quickly replied and the next day I was at his store. Funny thing, I realized he had been recommended to me by a co-worker earlier in the year. Luke is extremely personable and well versed in the world of carpets and flooring. He explained everything in detail and it didn't feel like a sales pitch or him trying to push me into purchasing anything. Just trying to educate me in the world of carpets. I went home with a few samples, but unfortunately I had fallen in love with a carpet that he did not carry. Luke didn't let that stop him. He quickly researched the carpet I liked and was able to find it for me and put a hold on it. The next day he came out, measured and gave me the cost. The whole time walking me through each step of the process. It took 2 1/2 days to complete my project - which was an entire 1,500 sq ft condo. Luke's team was fabulous. They were polite and caring. They were amazing with moving all my furniture and returning back to it places. I would highly recommend Luke and his company to anyone looking to redo their floors. read more

Carpets 46 - Staircase carpet - Carpeting Near Me - Garfield, New Jersey

No one should bother looking at any other place-- Carpets 46 is the only company you should use for carpeting. Period. Mic drop. Not only are their carpets stunning, and the installation and clean up flawless-- these guys make the impossible POSSIBLE. I wanted to get wall to wall carpeting done in two rooms in my new home (including walk in closets and a hall closet) and I had to do it after the painters were done, and before I moved in. And I had less than three weeks. Meaning, they had to get the carpet from Georgia, get it delivered, and then get in installed on a tight schedule with painters. And not only did Luke and his team pull it off-- it is utterly beautiful. They have a customer for life-- next up, the stairs. Trust me, we looked around and talked to a lot of businesses- nothing compares. These guys are truly GREAT! If only they did kitchen renovations as well read more

They shine most with their customer service. Luke - or his son - was very polite and transparent over the phone. He was great with walking my wife through all the different types of carpets and pricing. They set up an appointment, came through and delivered just what we asked for. They also removed the old disgusting carpet we had here from a previous owner. I would definitely recommend them. My only thing is that they are a little on the expensive side, but as it's often said "you get what you pay for". read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. Absolutely top notch experience from Luke and team. My wife and I live on the UWS in Manhattan and took a shot in the dark that a company in NJ would be willing to assist. Let alone a fairly unique task as we live in a duplex and needed carpeting for our hallway down a curvy staircase. Luke spent an hour on the phone with me (after hours, mind you), texting me drawings of designs and helping come up with a strategy within our budget. From there, we came out to the shop to view the carpets, great quality selection I might add. Luke really knows his stuff, he went into detail on all the types of fabrics/materials good for babies, pets etc. You really get the family owned business feel with him and it's clear how they've earned all the other 5 star reviews. To round out the perfect experience, Luke's team came the morning after a holiday and got the job done in what felt like no time (I think an hour or 2 tops). It looks and feels perfect. I can't recommend this business enough and look forward to hiring them again when we move into a bigger place for all our carpeting needs. Thanks Luke and team! read more

Worked with Luke and he made the task of carpeting our condo's common area very simple and affordable. Installers were professional and efficient. Okay, I know that it would be terribly uncommon to say that buying carpeting was easy or even fun. But I'm going to do just that. I turned to yelp to find a local, reasonably priced carpet store. As you may find there aren't many anymore. Enter Carpets 46. What carpet store has this many 5 star reviews? I knew I had to check things out. After work one day (yes, they have some days with later hours), I felt inspired and made the 35 min trek to carpets 46. In an unassuming strip mall lies a very well stocked carpet and flooring showroom with just the right amount of options. If your like me and can get overwhelmed by too many options, Luke and the Carpets 46 crew have already cut out all the nonsense and low quality product. I didn't make an appointment and Luke was very accommodating. We went over some options and styles and Luke made the decision so easy. We picked a beautiful carpet, he had color swatches for major paint brands and made sure the carpet went well. Put down a deposit when Luke came to take the measurements, and scheduled an installation date. Every part of this process was easy and personal. The installers were great, knocked it out in less that 4 hours. AND THEY VACUUMED AND CLEANED UP! I'm ecstatic over this carpet and I never thought I'd say that! Big thanks to Luke and Carpets 46!! read more
