We had a great experience with Dee and his team. They ripped out our old carpeting, cleaned everything up, and were very respectful of our home. They even wore protective shoe coverings, which I really appreciated. Dee checked in with us numerous times throughout the process to make sure we were happy with everything and that we loved the floors. You can tell they really care about their work and their customers. We're so happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend Dee and his team. read more

Devon the owner came to give the quote. He was early, respectful and knowledgeable. He took off his shoes and listened to what I needed for this project. His team followed suit. Was early to the job everyday and did exactly what was quoted and expected. They moved all the furniture, sanded and refinished the flooring in the whole apartment. Now I'm on the last day and they're putting back the furniture to their original location. Work done as expected and the office was communicative and on their game!!! Already had neighbors ask for their number!!! Thank you Devon and team for fixing my grandma's place!! read more

In response to Deven's feedback, did not threaten on writing a review - I brought up Yelp saying I found it highly unlikely that they would have high reviews because for them to think we misplaced these speakers is ridiculous. It isn't a small item like jewellery, it is a speaker that is pretty hard to miss. I wasn't yelling, Susan was yelling at me and wouldn't even hear me out. I did no such thing as yell. She was the only person that was yelling on the other end of the phone. The company stated they didn't steal our speaker and yet, the speaker and the charger magically walked off the same day the people came to work. If this speaker came back into our possession, we definitely would have mentioned it, but writing a review 30 days after because this happened right before the holidays and at first A was dealing with them directly and I stepped in because there was a lag on getting this taken care of and it's almost 3 months and the speaker and charger still hasn't reappear. The charger was plugged in the kitchen counter top wall, right where they were working and both items are gone. Not one, but both of them. I advised A, he shouldn't have left a pricey speaker there when they came to do work because him leaving both items for someone to walk away and be able to use it without any issues. He shouldn't have left anything of valuable. It was A's procrastination that he didn't act swiftly on this due to A's demanding job and download the video and show them that they have crooks working for them. If I handled this situation from the start, it wouldn't be the case because I would have done it ASAP. If they sat the crew individually and mention their pay would be deducted, I am pretty sure one of the guys would have snitched on one another. 100% this incident occurred, we worked on the rest of the place ourselves. We only had Exquisite Flooring come on to the property. Like we all know people who has gone to jail that swears up and down they didn't commit the crime and yet you can find their DNA? If these guys know there are no consequences for their actions, why wouldn't they think they can get away with anything under the sun? Paying half of the original price should be offered and not the promotion price, because either way Exquisite Flooring came out winning, because their employees now own a better quality speaker with a charger that will fully works without any battery issue. They got paid for their work and so did the crew who walked away with our property. The customers, which is us is now short of money of $381.05 and paid for thieves to come on to our property to do work. Doesn't seem fair at all and so for Deven to write, "We did not find it fair that you wanted half of the original price when you just stated it was on sale." All Susan does is yell when she speaks to customers, and she constantly interrupts and she was the only person that was angry. I only asked her how does that does seem fair for them to pay half of promo price and not original price of what we paid? She then blew up at me and she was the one threatening me saying, we don't have to pay for this at all and hung up on me. Deven saying "customer satisfaction is our number priority" is a joke and a lie.. Don't even use this as a tagline when you don't even know what it means. Also, they're not going to admit they have crooks on the payroll because as long as they keep denying, the company doesn't lose and their employees know this and they'll just keep stealing without any problems because Exquisite Flooring backs them up. read more

Let me begjn by saying that this review was not solicited. I just had to review Exquisite Flooring. I had a few companies come in and give quotes for the job, which was for my living and dining room floors. It's not that Exquisite flooring was the cheapest, but once Devendra came in and met with us, we knew we would go with him. He was knowledgeable, flexible, and offered additional advice, which was helpful. My job is now complete and i am very satisfied. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I cannot speak more highly of the team at Exquisite Flooring. They were extremely communicative and patient; also the price and work quality was exceptional! Finally the team that actually did our floors were always on-tone and cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for sanding and staining work! read more

I wish that I could put zero stars. Forget about the half a** job. This individual blew up my bathroom, leaving feces all inside, as if he didn't flush. Absolutely outrageous. I had to bleach my whole bathroom. No respect. Avoid at all cost. You've been warned read more

Exquisite Flooring is a gem. It was an absolute pleasure working with this family run business. They offer diverse services and competitive pricing. They were extremely professional, courteous, timely and understanding while completing several projects within my home. I particularly appreciate their level of compassion with my timeframe as I suffered several health emergencies during my remodel. The owner himself, even installed my banister to assure that it was done perfectly. Their work is top notch as well as their customer service and execution. Five stars all around. read more

I contacted a few companies for a quote. One gave me a hefty quote without seeing the space, the other charged for a visit and gave a higher quote and this last company visited and gave me a quote that was less than half of the cheaper if the other two. They also said it could be done right away and within a day while the other two said maybe a day or two for the job. How could I say no?!? It felt great to also be able to give the two guys a decent tip that I could afford. Id say win win all round. Not only do I recommend these guys I will be certainly use them again. read more

The previous contractor who installed the floating wood floors did a very poor job. After 1.5 years, the planks began to separate in many places creating gaps in the flooring throughout the apartment. There was also a leaking radiator that damaged a few planks. Deven came to look at the job, and was confident that he would be able to fix all areas without issue. And he was right! Within a week, two guys came to install saddles between transitional areas, hammer other planks back in place then nailed/glued them down so separation will not occur again, and to replace the water damaged planks. Esquisite Flooring were fairly priced, speedy, efficient and professional. The office was also very friendly. I highly recommend them! Would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Exquisite was both fairly priced from the get go and very professional. After speaking with a couple of companies I opted with them and am glad to have done so. They were very good with communication, swiftly took care of the forms I needed for my strict co-op, flexible with dates, helpful with deciding on the stain color, and the two guys who came around to do the work were super nice. Would definitely recommend them and use Exqusiite again for any further floor work I may need in the future. For reference I went with semi gloss Golden Oak. read more

We hired Exquisite Flooring for a pretty large project - ripping out all our existing, old hardwood, leveling the entire apartment (on the 4th floor of an old brownstone), and putting in new subfloor and hardwood. Deven was the salesperson, and visited our apartment twice over the course of a few months. I enjoyed his visits, and trust grew from his inspection, ideas, and pricing. It was middle of the road pricing - I got some other quotes cheaper and some more expensive. But his I was most comfortable with and I am VERY glad I found them and went with them. Berto was the lead carpenter, and he had a team of three helpers with him. Berto did a phenomenal job with everything. It was quite a large job and they were perfectionists. I saw him redo things a few times until it was perfect. The job took longer time than anticipated and they did not try to upcharge me. They just completed it, no muss no fuss, and did a very quality job. My wife and I are very happy with the results. I would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for flooring experts. read more

Hardwood floors are wonderful, but they need care too. After five years of foot traffic, it was time to refresh ours and we've taken enough care of them that a buff and recoat was all we needed. The process was easy: emailed and got an estimate, they came out and gave us a final quote, they provided the necessary paperwork for our coop, we got scheduled and the entire job was done in one day. Our floors look amazing. read more

I am so happy with the work done by Exquisite Flooring! Deven was on time for the free estimate and very patient in explaining the process and different options to my sister and I. He was also the most reasonable estimate we had gotten and we felt we could trust his work. We decided to go with a water based job and natural stain. 3 others showed up to do the work but they were just as diligent as Deven in explaining along the way what was being done. The entire job was done in 2 days and everyone loves it. Our floors are at least 80 years old and had been covered in carpet for at least 40 years. I really appreciated how neatly they worked and how much dust they removed before leaving. There was still a little to be wiped down but not very much considering how much work was done. read more

Our refrigerator broken and flooded. The floor get damaged so bad. After I did the research and get quote from multiple companies. We decide to go with Exquisite flooring. The reasons we go with them are: 1. Deven came for the consultation, he listed each option and reasonable price right after he checked the damage at our home. 2. The job done efficiently 3. Although there are some issue after the job completed , they are willing to come back to check and fix it. Also I have to say Susan who answer phone calls and doing the scheduling is really nice and professional. Always pick up the phone right away, and call us back as they promised. We are really satisfied. read more

Amazing job, Thank you!!!! I found Exquisite Flooring on yelp. I needed my floors on one of my vacant apartments refinished they were in horrible condition due to previous tenants. Devon took my phone call, scheduled a day to quote the apartment. He was punctual, respectful, and very knowledgeable when it comes to floors. He explained to me the whole process from beginning to end and what to expect. Communication is key for me so I liked that! After agreeing on the service, I was comfortable providing Devon with keys to the apartment for him and his to complete the work. The after results were amazing! Really impressive what these guys can do brining back what looks like damaged wood and restoring them like new. This also provide you with a cheat sheet at the end on how to maintain the floors and how to clean them. Thank you again, will definitely do business with you again and highly recommended ! read more

I am very satisfied with the work done by Exquisite Flooring and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Devin was polite, yet honest about the condition of my bamboo floors and the possible repair options. Living in a condo, the management company requires very specific documents before work can get started. After emailing Vanessa in the office, I received the necessary paperwork, was able to submit it, and get everything approved in less than 24hrs. Devin's staff arrived on time every day and explained each step along the way. On the last day, they tied up loose ends and made sure I was satisfied before they left! read more

Susan and Devendra were professional and a pleasure to work with some booking through job completion. They refinished the floors of my one bedroom in Jackson Heights, which took two days. I had red oak flooring that had staining that was a bit red for my taste. Also, my existing floors were nice hardwood floors, but had seen better days and had visible wear and tear and had become black from some kind of damage. The refinishing team stripped the wood down to its natural colors, put on 5 samples for me to pick from, and then re-stained in my pick of special walnut. Incredible work. Floors look new. Tips: evaluate whether your electrical panel can handle a 220 volt, 50 amp plug. In my job, they were unable to do it without tripping the circuit breakers and had to go to a 110 machine. While the team does their best to keep the place clean, the nature of the refinishing beast is that dust gets everywhere after the job is done. So, expect to clean your walls and anything the air touches in your apartment. read more

I had recently had vinyl planking installed by Exquisite Flooring and was really happy with the results. Lately I have seen discoloring and peeling on the boards themselves. I tried to contact the manufacturer to honor the warranty and got nowhere. I contacted Susan at Exquisite who not only wanted to help me (even though the original installation was not the problem) but was able to schedule the workers to come to my home cost free and replace the problem planks. The workmen were professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. I must commend Susan, Devon, and all of the workers who truly exemplify what quality is all about! read more

Beautiful job, vast improvement in the leveling of the floor! It was a bit expensive.

We contacted Deven in mid-July regarding having two rooms sanded and polyurethaned. He was very responsive to all of my questions and provided as much information about the process as possible. Deven gave us a very fair price and we set the date for the job. They called me the day before to confirm the appointment. Navin and Carlos arrived on time and smoothly and efficiently completed the job. They kept everything clean and our floors came out beautiful. The team at Exquisite Flooring really did an incredible job. The Yelp and Google reviews were uniformly superb, but the actual service and finished product didn't disappoint. Susan and Deven were extremely responsive and thorough. Deven gave a knowledgeable and clear opinion on the work that needed to be done - we had some areas of 2 1/4 inch floorboards breaking the pattern of our quite old and worn maple floor. Other companies had suggested replacing significant areas of the floor, but Deven was clear that his team could cut boards to fit and weave them in so we couldn't see the join. The entire project was completed on time (2 days for a Manhattan 2 bed), on budget (almost the cheapest of the 4 quotes we got) and with regular updates by text and email. The floor looks brand new, shining and opens up the entire apartment. read more

I called three floor companies for a client of mine who is elderly and had water damage on her wood floor tiles. We decided on Exquisite flooring largely because Susan in the office is so professional and considerate, getting back to me with every question and need. No need to chase her to obtain the required documents for the building. And their pricing was also on par with the other company quotes! I am hesitant to write negative reviews as I like to support small businesses. Reading the reviews, we decided to take a chance. My husband was able to schedule an appointment with Deven (the owner), quickly. Deven assured us that we would have GREY, WATER stain on our hard wood floors that had to be sanded. He also stated that he would be able to match the color of the basement vinly flooring and the second floor wood on the stairs. He quoted us a fare price, so we went with booking the job. The original receipt stated we would be receiving water based, grey stain and matching colors of the rooms on the stairs. It went down hill from there. We arrived the morning of the job to pick out our stains. None of the colors on the floor were grey. The two workers stated that they could not achieve the color we wanted because the picture we showed Deven was of synthetic wood. They also could not match the stair colors. Both of the contractors seemed frustrated and one chuckled and smiled as I selected a natural stain instead of the attempts of grey. The receipt I signed made no mention of water or oil stain, nor the color. The day after when my husband went to check the floors, Deven was there and he stated that they went with oil (Deven thought we switched our minds). The two workers never told us that and did it without our wishes. When my husband called the office, the women who picked up the phone stated "there was some confusion with your wife". There was no confusion, it was an error and poor communication with the Exquisite Flooring team. While they rebuffed and stained the floors, it delayed the job and other things we needed to do. Nails were also left on the floors that were promised to be covered. Once again, the team had to come back to fill the nail marks. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone for their lack of professionalism including communication and poor service. read more

I originally had work done by exquisite flooring a year ago. Their reviews were great and Home Advisor had them contact me after I filled out a request form online. I had my upper floor refinished, the runner from the stairs removed and the stairs refinished, and finally hardwood put in two rooms on the ground floor. They did a really good job refinishing the floors in my upper bedrooms and the stairs. I contacted Deven after the floors dried upstairs because his men left staples in my stairs, stained the floor molding in the upstairs rooms, and removed one of the doors from the hinges but didn't put the door back. Deven assured me his men would come back. They never did. I posted a review online. Within the last few months, my floor in one of the back rooms has started to shift upward, creating a huge bump in the flooring. There is no leak and this has only happened in the one room. So now in addition to having to repaint the molding upstairs, I also have to hire a flooring expert to come fix the floor. I would definitely not recommend them. I don't understand how a company that only does flooring can be so sloppy. read more
