Rarely one takes a chance on a company found online without referrals from trusted friends or family. I went against my typical decision making process and picked not the cheapest or recommended by other people I know, but purely on professionalism as shown via Yelp reviews, speaking on the phone directly, and the quickness a quote was sent to us. I'm so glad we picked Allex to do our floors. They showed up on time, as promised, and finished quickly in 2 days. This was a daunting task. Furniture needed to be moved out, closets emptied, etc... and then we had to leave on vacation right after the job was done. Tight schedule. Allex came in with a team and delivered. My wife was very happy with their work, and she's the one who focuses on every little detail. This company deserves to be praised for their work ethics and impecable work. read more

Allex Floors - This is a before / after of the floors . When our contractor finished we just weren't satisfied so Allex put on a new coat. - Flooring Near Me

Alex was wonderful to work with! We would definitely recommend him and Allex floors. We just bought a home in Westfield, NJ before the start of the school year and we were trying to get as much work done before moving in and he came through. He helped us stay within budget, walked us through our options, and kept us updated throughout the process. We had carpet removed and hardwood installed on the top floor. We had carpet and tile removed and hardwood installed in the main floor family room. We had hardwood refinished through the rest of main floor (which had a lot of heavy scuff marks) and the upstairs staircase steps. We had dark brown paint removed and wood refinished on the basement staircase steps. We went with a natural satin finish which looks bright and clean. He did an amazing job matching the existing wood to the new wood on the main floor. The floors look absolutely wonderful. He has a really good eye for detail. We plan to work with him again in the future for our deck. read more

I am an owner of 2 Duplex Penthouses Overlooking the Entire NYC Skyline in Weehawken,NJ That simply means I needed the VERY best flooring contractor to show prospective rental clients that this penthouse was the place to rent! I met Allex a few years ago and was immediately comfortable with him on a personal level. He was and is always professional and courteous and that matters to me as I was looking to build a long term relationship with someone. I hired him because of the work that I had seen that he had performed in other locations and I was sold! He is priced competitively and is extremely detail oriented and extremely meticulous with his work. I was present during the entire multiple day process and had the opportunity to get to know him very well. He arrived on time, ready to work and was courteous enough to do a walk through with me to confirm the simplest details to the outcome of the floor resurfacing. Give him an opportunity to come out to give you an estimate and I truly believe you will feel the same way I did. Davide. read more

From the moment Allex started talking about flooding, i knew we didn't have to look any further. We just moved into our first home and the flooring was not of our taste. Allex, just by looking at the floor, already knew what was needed and also gave us information and the pros and cons. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. We work during the day but felt completely comfortable leaving him In our home, alone, to work. He even went out of his way to tarp our kitchen as to not make a mess. I would recommend him to any and everyone. Again, we couldn't be happier at the end result read more

When my husband and I purchased our home the first thing we agreed on was refinishing the floors in the entire house. We called a few different places for quotes but the moment we met Allex we knew we had to go with him. He was really easy to talk to and he was able to give us some good advice on the flooring. He gave us the best price and was able to get it done in 3 days. The floors came out BEAUTIFUL! I would highly recommend working with Allex to get your hardwood floors done. If we ever need this kind of work done in the future, we will definitely work with him again. read more

Alex did amazing job! He came early morning with another person and spend an hour putting nylon sheets to protect everything drom dust. They sand the floor with 2 machines one main and another for corner. Then vacuumed and clean the place. The did 2 layers of paint - which I really like! And did polish in between. Price was fair. And I would definitely use Alex services again . Thank a lot! See the pictures attached. read more

Allex is absolutely wonderful!!!! Highly recommend him to anyone. Bought a home in Colonial Heights and was pressed for time to restore the floors, before we moved in. Came for an estimate the day I called, gave a very affordable estimate and finished the floors throughout the house immediately. Many people told us the floors were beyond repair, including the floors in the sunroom. Alex not only fixed the floorboards but stained all of them beautifully. They look superbly seamless and look brand new. read more

Alex did an amazing job at my home matching old floors to new floors we had installed. The new floor color was unique so he created a few custom stain options until we felt good about what he made. The end result was amazing- perfect match! I tore up some old flooring for the new floors and seeing how well the refinish looked - I regretted not calling Alex sooner. He is very knowledgeable about flooring, and made the floors look new with no mess and very reasonable prices. He also can install flooring so highly recommend. read more

Allex installed black vinyl floors at my mother's house almost two years & we completely forgot about leaving a review until now. But I'm finally getting around to it because Allex was that good! Not only did he do beautiful work, he was super attentive and was able to get our floors done within the short time frame I had requested. He even finished ahead of scheduled. If you want beautiful floors at a great price, do yourself a favor and give Allex a call. read more

Alex refinished floors in our house 3 years ago in 2018. He also added metal balusters to our staircase. He is the best contractor we have ever worked with. The floors have taken so much abuse the last 3 years from kids. They look great, the color that he convinced us to use is great. We recently had to redo our tiles and when we removed the flooring transitions we saw how brilliant his work is. A long reducer was cut in a way to combine a shorter one without the cut being visible. Two reducers were glued together to deal with a large height increase. Highly recommended as a long term review. read more

Allex Flooring blew me away with the work they did in my house. Alex was the first (out of 3) floor specialists that came by to provide me a quote. He was very thorough in explaining the process and left me documents and samples and also told me to ask the other contractors coming specific questions to make sure I was getting the best products/service. His pricing was the middle of the 3 I quotes I received. I also told all 3 of them that I was considering doing my stairs and rails and to provide a separate quote for that. The other 2 told me that do not do rails/stairs due to the complexity and provided DIY solutions. Alex said he had one it previously and showed me pics. The separate quote for that did give me sticker shock but understanding that it is in the foyer and main focal point when walking through the front doors, I bit the bullet and went with it (and couldn't be happier). His guy was very careful with removing the spindles and even told me to repaint them before he reinstalled them. Floor turned out great as well and we receive so many compliments on the work that was done by Allex Flooring. I have recommended him to many ppl and will continue to do so just because of the quality of work he provided. read more

Allex floors recently refinished my living room and hallway floors. They came out beautifully! The repairs he made were seamless and the areas that had some deep stains came up like new. In addition, Allex made and installed transition pieces around my entrance ceramic tile that finished off the area so nice. The way he sealed off the adjourning rooms with plastic and even the closets truly made it a dust free project. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex and his crew! read more

Very good value for very good work. Alex and his crew demo'd some existing laminate as well as refinishing our oak floors. They sanded, stained (after applying several stain options to the sanded floor so we could choose), and applied three coats of polyurethane--all in four days (started Monday, finished Thursday). Our floors looks great. read more

Allex was professional and easy to communicate with. My husband and I had been researching local flooring companies and Allex promptly responded to us and came to our house to give us an estimate on the same day. He was thorough in explaining the process and answered all of our questions. The quality of his work was exceptional and the price point was just right. Allex and his team made sure to seal off rooms that could get exposed to the wood dust. We are extremely happy with his work and highly recommend him for your flooring needs. read more

Absolutely STELLAR service. I called around for some quotes and Allex by far came off as the most professional. He has a very bright future ahead of him and his business. He came around to give us a quote - AND the quote was a lot less than expected! He kept excellent communication before, during, and after the process of refinishing our floors. His craftsmanship and perfection is impeccable. I highly recommend Allex and his crew! He was on time and helpful during everything, which is unheard of where I live. Not to mention, he was very accommodating to our very busy and hectic schedule. I will absolutely be calling him for any future flooring needs. read more

Allex was prompt in returning my messages and calls. He did an amazing job on our floors in the main level. We closed on our home Friday afternoon and he was able to start that afternoon to ensure we were able to move in the following Tuesday. We anticipate to do the floors in the lower level and wouldn't ask anyone else but Allex to complete the job. read more

Allex had the misfortune of havingTo fix my terribly botched floors because I trusted Carpet World I was left with ruined hardwood floors throughout my house. It looked like kids had gotten in to dark stain and thrown it all over. I'll attach the before and after's later or u can see my Carpet World Review. Allex was so professional and courteous and after such a horrible prior experience, I was just so grateful. He was patient with me in getting the right color and took extra time and care in sanding down the mess that had recently been created and paying close attention to not strip the wood right down to nothing. There were a few spots that were missed and Allex returned to inspect right away. We then had painting done since and The painters tape pulled up poly and color from the floor. Allex promised to fix everything when all of the work is finished. He is a true professional and cares about the integrity of his work, the clients satosfaction and is an all around kind and honest guy! Definitely would recommend him to everyone! Will update and post pix once all is completed. read more
