This summer we reached out to Luke at Carpet 46. He called back and said we were interested in hardwood floors on our upstairs and we have carpet now. He proceeded to ask all the right questions in regards to kids are they active have people living below us since we are in a townhome. After 15 minutes he sold me we were staying with carpet. And of course hardwood ja more expensive so for Luke to recommend what would be best for our family was a selling point for me, before meeting him. When we made our appointment Luke couldn't have been nicer and explained the whole process for us. We made our selection explained we had some work being done in the house and he said no worries we will start after all of that is done. We could not have been happier with our experience at Carpet 46. Every moment from start to finish was handled with professionalism and genuine care. The thing that really sets this place apart is the wrap around service. Luke handled our initial appointment, measurement, and follow up. His cousins did the installation - a true family business. I put off replacing wall-to-wall carpeting in my condo for way too long because the project was just too daunting. I had looked at carpets in the big box stores but always left feeling uncertain about what to get. When I went to Carpets 46, the experience was 180 degrees different. We walked into Carpets 46 for our consultation without much knowledge about wood laminate flooring. We needed to redo the floors of three bedrooms in our house. Luke is a great person to work with, communicative and clear. Their selection of materials looks top notch. When it came time for the job itself, it was done on time and extremely well by Luke's staff. In early November, we decided to replace the carpet in our Living and Dining Rooms. We had not purchased carpet in years and were uncertain of where to go. In such situations, I usually turn to Yelp for potential sources. I have found Yelp to be beneficial for research and for posting reviews. In my Yelp search, Carpets 46 came up and the great reviews I read lead me to believe it was certainly well worth considering despite the sense that "highway stores", in my mind, can be risky. I called and spoke with Luke who was most gracious and assuring and advised me that he would be there that afternoon at the time I planned to stop in. Luke showed me samples based on what I had in mind and he brought those along with a few others to my home, a few days later. I decided on a particular color and style and then advised Luke that I needed it installed the week of December 12th. He said no problem and after giving me the price, set up a definitive date for the installation. By the way, the pricing, which included an upgraded padding, moving of large furniture pieces and take-up /disposal of the old carpet and padding was well in line with our budget. Luke followed up in the intervening weeks by phone or email to keep me updated and to reconfirm the date and time. Carpets 46 installers(three) showed up right on time and later that day finished the work in a most professional and quality manner. Luke called me afterwards to follow up and to once again thank me. The entire project, start to finish, was painless. Luke and his installers made it far simpler than we could have ever imagined. Such a great experience, from start to finish! Luke (the owner) made this one of the easiest, most stress free home upgrades we've made. The entire timeline to replace our stair runner and install carpet into our nursery took about a week and a half. We were in need of a low pile carpet for a bedroom, so it would be easier for a walker to travel over. Originally we had planned on having a representative from Empire Today come by to give an estimate, but we decided to try Carpets 46 instead, since it is a local, family-owned business with great reviews. I called to ask questions and Luke was very friendly as he answered all my questions regarding the process of getting started. He also asked questions, which showed how engaged and interested he was even though our project was small. When we went in to look at samples, Luke was just as friendly and helpful as he was on the phone. He showed us the industrial type carpets we were looking for, but also residential versions of low pile carpets that didn't look so much like they were made for offices, though we did not feel like he was pressuring us at all. Luke came to the house a few days later to take measurements and within a week of our first appointment, they were available to install the carpet. Three workers arrived on time and worked quickly, did a great job and were respectful of our property. We arranged for them to move the furniture out and back. We also had them haul away the old carpet because our town has strict requirements for the carpet you can put out for bulk.
