Carpets 46 did an amazing job. For anyone who needs carpeting, Luke is your guy. Luke was extremely helpful in educating me about the variety of carpets and the pros and cons of each option that we asked about. He also gave us detailed updates on the progress of ordering the carpet and when the installation would happen. The installation crew also did a great job. They showed up on time and did a great, clean job. The best part was that he was understanding of my parents' English speaking skills. He was understanding about needing to talk to me (fluent in English) for more complicated matters but never made my parents (not so fluent but ultimate decision makers) feel like they didn't know what was going on. read more

From start to install Carpet 46 was exceptional! Luke was patient, kind and helped my wife and I make the best choices for our carpeting. The installers came and equaled Luke's integrity and the install went off perfectly. In fact, Luke and his team were so good that we went back to him to pick out our kitchen and living room floor. Once again, Luke and his team were absolutely amazing. Carpet 46 will be the place we always go to for our carpet and flooring needs. read more

We were in need of a low pile carpet for a bedroom, so it would be easier for a walker to travel over. Originally we had planned on having a representative from Empire Today come by to give an estimate, but we decided to try Carpets 46 instead, since it is a local, family-owned business with great reviews. I called to ask questions and Luke was very friendly as he answered all my questions regarding the process of getting started. He also asked questions, which showed how engaged and interested he was even though our project was small. When we went in to look at samples, Luke was just as friendly and helpful as he was on the phone. He showed us the industrial type carpets we were looking for, but also residential versions of low pile carpets that didn't look so much like they were made for offices, though we did not feel like he was pressuring us at all. Luke came to the house a few days later to take measurements and within a week of our first appointment, they were available to install the carpet. Three workers arrived on time and worked quickly, did a great job and were respectful of our property. We arranged for them to move the furniture out and back. We also had them haul away the old carpet because our town has strict requirements for the carpet you can put out for bulk. Luke even called a few days later to confirm on our end that everything went well. If we ever need new carpet or flooring in the future, we're definitely calling Luke back. read more

Just wanted to say how much I LOVEEE this business. I have a very old house (original steps from 1910) and they really needed some work. They're the first thing you see in my foyer when you walk into my home so I knew I needed something to really look elegant. I came across Carpets 46. I went with my husband to the store to speak with Luke and he was awesome!! So accommodating and super nice and really helped give us real advice and show us some nice options within our price point without seeming so "salesy" we chose a very pretty runner for our steps and scheduled the installation. His guys came to install after he came over to measure and the work was quick and amazing. They were respectful of my home and neat and did a great job. They even vacuumed the rug debri and pcs that fell around the steps. Overall great experience. If you need a stair runner use them!!! read more

Luke is fantastic! Not only did he help us choose a carpet based on what we were looking for, he did it with humor and years of knowledge. The carpet is beautiful and we get tons of compliments on it. The installation of the carpet went smoothly and was done with expertise. Luke's installation team were very timely and polite. Clean-up was fantastic - the installers bundled everything for us to make disposal of our old carpet and padding easier. We are going back to get an area rug for our living room (which has vinyl flooring we purchased at Carpets 46 as well). I recommend Luke and his team highly! read more

Luke was very knowledgeable and professional, clearly explained in detail about pros and cons and gave lots of advice & information, his showroom had wide range of options to choose from. He was able to accommodate my tight schedule and started & finished ON TIME and made the whole job very simple and reliable throughout the process and his installation team was amazing too. Very quick at responding when I contact for any problems or questions during AND even after the job was done, I'm very satisfied with my new carpet and glad that I worked with Carpet 46. I'm VERY confident to recommend Carpet 46 for any and everyone, I'll definitely entrust him for any future carpet needs for myself again, Thank You Luke!!!!!!!! read more

Luke was very knowledgeable about what was best for us since we have two dogs and some concerns about off gassing. His crew (all family members) was incredibly professional and much more skilled than a company we used years ago. You can't go wrong with this family owned company, there is just no way any chain store could match this quality. read more

Great place for all types of flooring needs. Luke took good care of us with his expertise. He installed laminate flooring throughout our entire co-op. All of our questions and concerns were answered quickly. He coordinated all the work with our general contractor. Overall a very pleasant and excellent experience during a crazy renovation! We highly recommend Carpets 46! read more

We just bought a house and were looking to have our floors sanded and stained. We also had one bedroom we wanted carpet ripped out and replaced. We obviously started our search online and found that Carpets 46 has the highest reviews. We have had other people do floors for us in the past but werent 100% happy with the work. that wasnt the case here. the floors came out spectacular. Luke and his crew did a great job. our floors couldnt have come out better in my opinion. Luke was even able to get us into our house earlier than we discussed. very happy with Luke and Carpets 46. read more

I put off replacing my grosser than gross carpeting for years because I didn't want to deal with the hassle. If I knew that Luke and his crew at Carpets 46 would make it so easy I wouldn't have waited. From my first phone call it was nothing but smooth sailing through a quote, product selection and installation. Luke was very flexible with scheduling and the installers were efficient, polite, and cleaned up after. Best of all, Carpets 46 is a family owned and operated business which always feels good to support. Luke, thank you! I will be recommending you! read more

Thank you so much Luke! We were looking to carpet out tenant space above our apartment in efforts to help with sound. We originally received a quote from a company that contracts for a very known and reputable home store and were told that they'd have to rip up our new wood floating floors in order to install carpet. This was so disappointing. From my first phone call with Luke, he took the time to explain to me how exactly it could be done. When we visited his store, he gave us a wealth of information that we didn't have as new residents of NJ. He helped us select beautiful carpeting, great quality padding and was more than fair to us in price. This was important to us because as new home owners with an investment property, we needed to be slightly economical while choosing something of quality. It's quite evident that Luke and the guys that work with him care a great deal about the work that they do. We appreciate that so much and felt confident in our choice of working with him. By the time the carpets were installed, we were jealous of our tenant space above us lol. Luke, we can't thank you enough! You're a very cool guy! And we're Carpets 46 ALL the way! We are going to call you on our next property venture as well. All the best. read more

All around great experience, from the moment I drove up and walked into the shop (without an appointment) to installation day, Luke was helpful at every step, gave great advice and took the time to go through the options on quality, color and installation. Luke was super efficient, just the right amount of communication, and we couldn't be happier with the process and final product. I was trying to avoid the big box home improvement stores for my carpeting project as I had just had a poor experience with Home Depot on appliance installation that they farmed out to another company. I just wanted to deal with a local, reputable company, and I am so glad I found Carpets 46! We had two bedrooms carpeted over old, cheapish engineered wood flooring in an apartment we just moved into in downtown Jersey City. Next time I have a flooring project I am going straight to Luke! read more

Luke is a good guy and his goal is to make sure you are 100% satisfied from beginning to the end of the job. The carpets looked great after install. He's super knowledgeable about carpets and is always available via call or text of you have a question. We definitely recommend Luke and would use him again no doubt. read more

I recently purchased a condo in New Jersey and I immediately wanted to change the carpets that came with the place. I received consultations from two carpet companies prior to coming to Carpets 46 and as soon as I walked through the door I was impressed. I called and spoke with Luke, who created time on a busy day to discuss my needs and uses for the carpet. That morning I arrived early and Luke was already there before the shop opened. When my partner and I walked in, Luke sat us down, discussed budget, carpet quality and longevity and asked questions that I never even considered. Instantly, I knew I wanted to work with his crew. That day, he stopped by the condo and took measurements. He worked with my budget and we were well on our way. The carpet was delivered within the time frame that we discussed and was placed in three rooms. In hours my place was already brighter, the feel of the carpet was exactly what I expected and looked perfect. I would recommend Carpets 46 1000x over if I could, from the knowledge demonstrated by Luke and his crew, to the customer service from start to finish. There is nothing bad to say. I made an excellent choice and will always consider Carpets 46 whenever I or anyone else I know needs carpet or flooring installations. read more

Okay so the bottom line is I am happy with the new flooring & installation from Carpet 46. From the first phone call Luke was personable and accommodating to my needs. His estimate was not the best I received but he was a good salesman and made me feel comfortable. I have one more floor to be done and even though I was happy with Luke the first time I will not use his services for the second job. Pros: Ultimately a good job was done by the installers. He knows good people and subcontracts well. Cons: He did not respect my concern for over calculation and now I have way too much material left over. The thing is not only did I pay for extra material I did not need but the installation price was based on that extra material as well. He tries to make you believe the installation crew is his own. When in fact they come in a van with another name and shirts of another name. And if you call the number on the van, you can hire them. So they are obviously sub-contractors that he doesn't want to admit to for some reason. The crew does not speak English except for one guy who comes and goes during the installation. So I was left with guys I could not communicate with most of the time. I would have liked to see Luke at some point during or even upon completion of the job but he never showed up. Just a phone call at the end of the day. Final payment was given to the only English-speaking worker. Going with Carpets 46 would not be a bad choice. It could be a great choice? It will be a learning experience! read more

My wife and I were looking to replace the old carpet in our family room and didn't know much about the whole process. I chose Carpets 46 because of their fantastic reviews, and Luke and his team did not disappoint! We stopped by Carpets 46 (by appointment) and spoke to Luke who was great at explaining all the options for us. He listened to our needs and offered recommendations. He showed us samples without overwhelming us with too many options. Luke personally came to the house, brought samples, measured the room and made suggestions. Carpets 46 installers(three) showed up, introduced themselves, did an amazing job removing the old carpet, and installing the new carpet. They cleaned/vacuumed when they were done. Their attention to detail was amazing. They cut the carpet, and took their time, so I asked what they were doing. They were matching the carpeting pattern before joining the seams! Luke called me afterwards to follow up and to once again thank me. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased. read more

This is one of my first ever Yelp review. Luke and his team were fantastic. When we initially visited Luke, he gave us his full attention. Listened carefully regarding our carpet needs and budget and only showed us carpeting that would fit with both. Luke was flexible and understanding as we shifted our install date around a few times. Now the carpet is in our NYC apartment and we could not be happier. No damage done by the install and our painter did not have to return for any touch ups (our contractor informed us that touch ups are typical). A truly first class team that Luke put together and there is definitely a reason his business maintains its stellar reputation. As New Yorkers, we were skeptical of the strip center location, but don't let that fool you. What we realized is that Luke needs no special advertising or fancy location. He simply delivers damn good service at a reasonable price and treats his customers like part of the family. We will be going no other place for future carpet needs. We are very happy with the quality of service, carpet and install that Luke and his team provided. Thanks so much. read more

Luke was very professional and informative when I met with him to discuss my carpet needs. The crew of 3 came on the date scheduled and worked very carefully to not damage my newly painted walls. Dont be fooled by the humble store exterior! Once you walk in and are greeted you know you have come to the right place. Outstanding in every way. From the actual search for what we wanted, to questions being answered expertly and knowledgeable, to the quick professional installation. Everything was top of the line. I am so glad I did not go to the usual big box home center place. Carpets 46 took apart the old rug covering our stairs, and installed the new one in under 90 minutes! The edges, fit, and total finished work was outstanding! I absolutely recommend them, and look forward to working with them for our wood floors in the future. Great installers! They did fantastic work and had a great selection of options. The laminate I originally picked wound up having an issue where the manufacturer was out of stock, and Luke handled it perfectly - he let me know right away, and found several alternatives that had a similar look to see if any of them would work out, since he knew I had a tight timeline for getting the flooring installed. Wound up going with an option that I like even better than the original style, and everything got done on schedule. read more

Great experience with Carpet 46 and Luke. Luke patiently spent time with us, discussing all of the potential options and steering us to what I think was the right choice for us from a value perspective. Best customer service and attention to detail. You cannot go wrong using this company. I've been back 3 times and highly recommend.

It was a pleasure working with Luke and his team to install carpeting into my newly purchased home. My girl friend did her homework and recommended this company as they receive excellent reviews across the board. The installers showed up within the time specified and finished in record time. I was more than pleased with the quality of work as it exceeded my expectations. I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for and this was no exception to that rule.
