The template guy, Javek, did an incredibly thorough job and taught me so much about what it takes to ensure proper counter care and installation. The installation team was fast and efficient. Overall, it took me 2 weeks from start to finish - from picking the stone to installation. I had the BEST experience here and I was feeling wary at first because of the previous reviews. However, I decided to go with GKB and am so glad I did. In detail, here's why I highly recommend GKB for your counters: 1) Yoselin was so attentive. I would email and call her with a million questions and she always took the time to carefully answer each one. I had her on the phone for 45 min at times and she was never impatient. I felt secure in my transaction because I had Yoselin on my side and I knew she was 100% dedicated to making sure I was happy. 2) Javek is the most knowledgeable template maker you will ever meet. He came and spent 2 hours making a custom template for wood boards. Other companies bring pieces of cardboard and guesstimate. Not Javek. This guy is responsible and exact. 3) Installation team came and had all the pieces installed in 1.5 hours. They were on time and very respectful. 4) The quotes were spot on. No hidden fees, no surprises. You can pay deposits with personal checks. Final payment needs to be in cash. 5) I had the opportunity to go in store and pick out the exact cut of the stone after my template was done. This is great - such flexibility! I literally had the opportunity to tell them which corner of the slab I wanted them to cut from and specify all the details. This process was also easy and pain free. 6) GKB has the largest selection of QUALITY slabs at the best price. I looked at 3-4 different slab vendors. Either the vendors were over pricing their stock or their slabs were uninspiring. The quartzite I ultimately chose was something I found ONLY at GKB. It was the "yes" moment I was waiting for. 7) I felt valued as a customer. They respected me and my time. At the end, I got the exact counters I wanted and they are beautiful. What started out…read moreas a smooth process quickly turned into weeks of frustration, wasted time, and extremely poor communication. The process started fine. Someone came to my home and measured the countertop using a laser, and we were then given a delivery/installation date. I was waiting at a house that I had not even moved into yet, with a newborn baby, and was given a standard 4-hour delivery window. After waiting 2.5 hours, I called for an update. Getting through to customer service was nearly impossible because no one would answer the phone. When I finally reached someone, I was told that the installer had called out and that there would be no delivery that day. What is most frustrating is that if I had never called, I have no idea how long I would have been sitting there waiting. No one called to let me know that the appointment was cancelled. This is incredibly unprofessional and completely disrespectful of a customer's time. Eventually, the installation did take place. I will say that the installers themselves were very nice and professional. However, the backsplash was measured incorrectly and the piece that was delivered was the wrong measurement. I was told that a replacement piece would be cut and ready within 7-10 business days. That was a month ago. Weeks went by with absolutely no communication. I repeatedly tried calling Stone Systems and again had an extremely difficult time getting anyone on the phone. Finally, I was able to get through and was told that the replacement backsplash would be installed that day between 1 PM and 5 PM. Once again, I waited around for hours and spent most of the afternoon trying to contact the company for an update. By around 2 PM, I finally contacted Home Depot because I could not get an answer from Stone Systems. Home Depot apparently was able to get in touch with the installer. Then I received a call from the installer telling me that the backsplash had already been installed at 11:30 AM -- while my house was being painted. There was no phone call, no notification, and no attempt to coordinate with me, despite the fact that I had specifically been given a 1-5 PM installation window. Had I not called, I wouldn't even have known that anyone had been at my house. The lack of communication throughout this entire process has been unacceptable. Between the cancelled delivery with no notification, the incorrect backsplash measurement, the month-long wait for the replacement, the inability to reach customer service, and then the installer showing up hours before the scheduled window without contacting me, this has been one of the most frustrating contractor experiences I've ever had. I have already expressed my concerns to Home Depot, and I sincerely hope they reconsider using Stone Systems for future customers or find a different installer. The installers I personally interacted with were nice, but the company's scheduling and customer service are absolutely unacceptable. If you value your time and expect basic communication from a company working in your home, I would seriously think twice before using Stone Systems.

After reading the reviews, I figured this would be a good place to comparison shop. Best decision I could have made!!! From the moment I walked in, I knew this was an amazing business. Everyone was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Another very important point for me was that there was absolutely no sales pressure. That's a HUGE plus! Long story short, I had received a quote for over $46,000.00 for the cabinets I wanted. This quote did not include any extras like pull out tray/drawers, lazy susans, utensil cabinets next to stove, etc. The price I ended up paying for all of the same cabinets from the original quote from the other guy plus additional cabinets, special pieces, drawer pulls, lazy susan/utensil drawer/pull out trays/drawers, etc. was just under $21,000.00!!! This price was for the exact same manufacturer (Fabuwood) and same exact color as quoted by the other guy...That's a $25,000.00 difference! (If my actual cost seems like a lot please note I got an insane amount of cabinets/pantries, etc.) Also, I don't know how I was so fortunate as to work extensively with Furkhan, but he was incredible throughout the entire renovation process! Despite the fact that I knew what I wanted for our renovations, I knew nothing about the actual process/details. Furkhan was pretty much available 24/7 and spent an endless amount of time with me going over every detail, making sure I didn't miss anything I might need, and answering my never ending questions. He took the time to learn exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to ensure the desired results! He also came up with ideas that seemed minor but ultimately made the difference between me really liking my kitchen to absolutely loving it!!! (I still just look at the kitchen when I walk in and smile at the results). Another huge plus was that he worked seamlessly with my contractor and everyone else involved in the project (plumber, appliance place, etc.) to ensure the smooth flow of every aspect of the project. Even when I had a small problem with an outside vendor, he took care of it for me and made sure it was resolved immediately. He kept on top of everything going on and kept me updated accordingly. I cannot possibly thank Art of Kitchen Tile & Bath enough for all their hard work. Everyone who has walked into our house cannot stop talking about how beautiful it is and about the quality of the work! And I can never thank Furkhan enough for his insights and suggestions and handling the project with such professionalism as well as following up on every detail to ensure the incredible results we achieved!
