Hands down, the best cookies in the SF Bay Area. They are also large, so it can take a while to eat one! While the salted chocolate chip doesn't disappoint, Filipino flavors like ube and coconut pandan are the stars here. Some flavors are on a monthly rotation, so when dulce de leche or red bean sesame is offered, do yourself a favor and get them into your cookie bag! (Note: as of now, you can only find these treats at farmers' markets in SF and Oakland, so a pro tip is to order on their website and pick up your goodies on the weekend.)

I've had a ton of cookies in my life and when I tell you, THIS IS THE BEST COOKIE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! Worker was super nice and offered me 3 samples: ube, pandan, and chewy mango. I liked all 3 but ube was my favorite. It had the perfect texture. Chewy, soft, and thick. Ube flavor was also very prominent. Will be back for this along with other flavors.

Our friends know the owner of Golden Morsels and treated us with their delicious cookies for our dessert for the dinner party. What a treat that was! The cookies are beautiful, large and dense. We were able to try the black sesame, matcha white chocolate, ube and sea salt chocolate chip. The cookies were dense, yet they were soft. - Matcha white chocolate - was my favorite. A strong taste of the earthy matcha balanced with the chocolate. If you like matcha, you'll love this. - Ube - I've been on a halo halo kick lately and this doesn't disappoint with the ube flavor of this cookie. - Sea Salt Chocolate Chip - right amount of chocolate chip so it's not overly sweet and nicely balanced with the sea salt on top. - Black Sesame - it was good with a mild taste of black sesame. Their goal is to make really good cookies with straightforward ingredients to satisfy those sweet tooth cravings. Based on my tastings of these cookies, they've met their goal. So delish! It appears that they are only selling at the Serramonte Farmers Market every Sunday. Hopefully, I will be in the area and get some cookies.

Heard about this place and I'm so glad it was open today! Usually there's only one item for sale…read moreon any given day, and the menu item for today was Moon Cake. I hadn't had a traditional one yet this year, so that was a plus for me. Normally I'm not crazy about the nut moon cakes, but this one was terrific! It was the best moon cake I've had in a while - regular lotus seed with yolk and nuts. The lady at the bakery reminded me of an "auntie" and she was super friendly! Even though today was moon cake, I took a chance and asked if she had any wife cake (Low Po Behng). Unfortunately she didn't, but we had a nice little conversation in Cantonese and it brought me back to childhood and Chinatown in L.A. back in the day. Some people might not like that it's closed (I think that's when she runs out or isn't baking that day) but that's just how it goes. It's nothing personal if someone drives a long way and it's closed. It sounds like sometimes the lines can be long (There was no line for us today - score!) but it's everyone's choice if they're willing to wait or not. It's a little place and you order through the door. To me, that just adds to the quirky adventure of it all. Next time I hope she has Low Po Behng!

FINALLY able to try the egg tarts from Golden Gate Bakery after numerous attempts. The hours are so…read moreunpredictable, and we honestly wouldn't have realized it was open if there wasn't a line on the sidewalk because the gates were still drawn. Took about 15-20 minutes to get through several people. We tried both the egg tarts ($3.50/ea) and the white lotus paste double egg yolk mooncake ($13). They don't use lard, so if you're vegetarian, snack away! Egg tart shell was super flaky and thin; custard was *very* egg-y. It was a little more like egg souffle than egg custard, and not as silky as I personally like. Still delicious though, 8/10. Mooncake was pretty solid and the filling had some surprise macadamia nuts in there, which added a nice texture. The skin wasn't my favorite, but I think that's just personal preference. Not too sweet. 7/10. Would come back to grab an egg tart if I ever happen to catch this place open again.

Everything is good here, I know that doesn't really describe it but yes! Trust me the cakes, pastries all worth it! My personal favorite the bread pudding. This place is known for having long lines, but the service is pretty good and the line moves quick. If you drive there, good luck finding parking near by. You may have to park a few blocks away. Tartine gets noisy but it's expected as lots of things are happening in a small area. The smell and the yummyness around makes you forget about all that noise n distraction.

Living in the South Bay, it's always a treat to make it up here. Love their pastries, but their sourdough and selection of breads are just as amazing. The quality is consistently excellent, the value is there, and the staff is always friendly and efficient. Parking can be a challenge, and weekend lines are no joke, but it's well worth the trip. Great baked goods, good people, and that laid-back SF vibe. Tartine never disappoints!

What a treat! This…read moreplace has great breads and bakery. The espresso machine maybe down, as I see it sitting right there on the left when you walk in, BUT, they only serve drip. AND...if its not down and they decided to just do drip, I dont blame them. Its not so simple to manage a high level of espresso quality with the lines they get..But maybe they will have it, IDK! The everything seeded bread is fantastic, the savory baked goods, and the double chocolate croissant...all good. I had also visited Butter & Crumble. If you want an alternative, this does not disappoint. Not as high key and polished with a cherry on top and decor, but SOLID bakes.

Seating wise, they only have 3-4 small metal tables with 2 chairs each. In the morning, these will be completely covered by the shade of the building, so I'd honestly recommend walking along dog patch area for a spot to enjoy your treats. Both the Ube Croissant and the Pistachio Blackberry Croissant are super fun twists to the almond croissant format. Flavor comes through strong and the filling is generous. Pastry pretty flaky still and you get the contrast of the crunchy almost cookie like texture against the buttery croissant.

The ordering area is small, and there is usually a line out the door on weekends, but it moves fast. Now, for the pastries: I've tried a few, but my go-to is the cookies. I love the matcha and matcha strawberry cookie. -The matcha cookie 5/5 has white chocolate chunks and it is sweet. The matcha and chocolate balance each other well. -The matcha strawberry 4/5 has a unique flavor and it tastes really good but it is a bit sweeter. -Lemon sesame wheel 5/5: I believe it is a seasonal item, but oh wow! Talk about perfection. This pastry is delicious. It has flaky, buttery layers of dough, and the lemon cream filling is delicious. Not too sweet. If they have it, try it. -I've also had the mochi, and cream puff. They are good, but they're not my go-to pastries. -Honey Comb Latte 3/5: this was probably the only disappointing one I had here. It was a bit bland, and I wasn't impressed. I only had it once and I didn't order it again. Overall they have many delicious pastries and if you find yourself in Japantown definitely give it a try.
