Their brochure and information packet was filled with helpful information. I could see first hand that the reviews were justified and level of customer service was very professional. Then life got in the way and delayed the project. We called Tony recently and he came out to refresh his memory and his new quote wasn't that far off from the old one. How's that for an honest man. He gives it to you straight. No upselling, no trying to talk you into something you don't want. He listens to what you want, gives his advice and you end up with a nice patio cover. Mike and Sergio really know how to do a great job. The first day, they came in, took down the old patio cover and left the patio clean and free of debris. I found that amazing considering the amount of dried up wood and splinters that were raining down on them. When it was time to install the new cover, they came back and did the job efficiently and with no problems. Again they left the patio clean. You can't go wrong with this company.

It was fairly smooth to get everyone on the same page and everything was done one after the other so the entire project from start to finish didn't take long at all. I'd definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to install a patio! We're really happy with the high quality outcome and he delivered on everything we wanted!

Their representative came out, listened to what we wanted, and gave us a competitive quote that beat the three other companies we had contacted. They handled the city permit and made the entire process easy. We wanted three ceiling fans, so our only task was to choose and purchase them before installation day. The crew completed the installation in just one day, and I was impressed with both the workmanship and how efficiently they worked. If you notice exposed wiring above the fans in my video, it was temporarily left uncovered for the city's electrical inspection. Everything passed, and they returned to cover the wiring afterward. The customer service has been just as impressive. Everyone has been patient, helpful, and communicative throughout the process. Elizabeth has been my main point of contact, and she has consistently answered my calls and texts and followed up with me over the months. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. Dan later answered additional questions I had then adjusted quote. The installer, Carlos, looked at the actual site conditions then discussed various options (like spacing of posts, how far to set posts from edge of patio cover, where to put downspouts, etc.) with me beforehand. Every day, Carlos would keep me updated as to the work being done. Their electrical, Mike, installed the lights, outlets and controller exactly where(& how) I wanted them. It was not some "cookie cutter" install off a pre-set plan. Things were installed the way my family & I wanted. Brittany in office kept me updated on permitting process, scheduling, inspection, etc. Initially had company install a pair of attached to house, solid (& insulated) patio covers (at kitchen & by living room). Family was so pleased with finished patio covers that we had Rooms come back and install a 24' x 13' standalone, solid, insulated patio covers outside bedrooms. Carlos made all 3 patio covers blend together. Mike wired all the lights (8 in the initial patio covers & 8 more in the standalone patio cover) so that all are controlled be a single dimmer switch. Needed to have some concrete work done under the patio covers and nearby. Rooms' recommended concrete people, James Austin Concrete, did excellent work and coordinated with Rooms for minimum disruption to patio installations. Initially called 6 companies (all local 4 star+ on yelp) for quotes. Rooms was 1 of 2 that was willing to go through the permitting process with the City. A 3rd wouldn't give me a quote because I wanted the patio covers to be permitted. The other 3 companies said that because the existing wood, open lattice patio covers had been permitted (in 1989), a new permit was not needed. Don't believe them. Big difference between open lattice wood patio covers and solid, Alumun patio cover. Plus requirements change over time. Turned out that the required dimensions for the posts' concrete footings almost doubled in size (in all 3 directions). Getting a permit means everything is built to meet City requirements. Only downside is long wait (13+ weeks) for City to approve each of the 2 permits. Several neighbors have already asked about Rooms. Even the city's building inspector asked for Rooms contact info. He wants a patio cover(s) for his place and was impressed by the work Rooms did for mine.

First, I must share our patio area presented a major challenge. The existing roofline made it…read moreimpossible to simply extend the patio cover straight across the space. The previous owners had added a structure that left an awkward opening in the cover to accommodate the roofline. Not only was it unattractive, but whenever it rained, water would pour through the opening and onto the patio. The cut-out was really annoying to us. Before contacting Mr. Patio Cover, we had another company come out and spend nearly two hours discussing possible solutions. We were told an engineer would follow up, but unfortunately, we never heard back from them. The following summer, we saw an advertisement for Mr. Patio Cover and decided to give them a call. Sam came out, patiently listened to our concerns, and recommended that Eric, the owner and engineer, personally evaluate our unique roofline situation. We are so glad he did! Eric did not shy away from our very challenging situation. After much brainstorming, he came up with an incredibly smart and creative solution. He recommended modifying the existing roofline by having a roofer cut back the corner and eaves, allowing Mr. Patio Cover to extend the new cover seamlessly across the space without the large opening. The roofer did an excellent job modifying the roofline. It looks so natural that you would think the roof had originally been designed and built that way. It was a solution we had not been able to get from anyone else. The finished patio cover looks beautiful, modern and completely transforms the space. Most importantly, we no longer will have rain pouring through that awkward cut-out! Since completing the project, we have thoroughly enjoyed our patio. We are out there nearly every morning watching the sunrise behind the trees, and when the sun gets too bright, the gorgeous and functional shades allow us to stay out even longer. We absolutely love our new patio space and couldn't be happier with Mr. Patio Cover. They found a creative solution to a difficult problem, delivered beautiful workmanship, and compared to the prior quote of the other company, they did it at a reasonable price.
