Our experience with Eric was very professional from beginning to end. He "replaced" the tile and plaster on our pool added a Baja shelf and corrected a design flaw on how the water flowed from the Jacuzzi into the pool. We also added a patio, a full outdoor kitchen,patio cover, fireplace and television. Even though we had some delays Eric allowed for "catch up days" and project was finished exactly on time. He was willing to also work with a tradesman that I found because I wanted to a natural rock fireplace we greatly appreciated. Starting any project is very exciting and stressful. We were very eager to get started and Eric and his team embraced that excitement. Eric made a digital rendering of our project based off of our ideas and he nailed it. I'm not going to lie and say that once the project started everything was perfect, unfortunately that's just not how construction goes but every issue we had with subcontractors or sunset outdoors, Eric and Carlos addressed it. I had one of the greatest experience with a construction contractor in a while. This is my second review for Sunset Outdoor Creation Swimming Pool and I'm writing this review to express the gratitude to Tony. Our pool was completed in February 2021 and we have Pentair pool system. One of the pool light went off and it needed a replacement. I contacted H2O Pro Pool, certified repair company for a warranty. Heath the owner of H2O Pro Pool was so hard person to be reached and not responsive for further inquiries. I didn't like it from the beginning but went along because it was recommended by Pentair who provided the parts under warranty. About 2 months later, Heath finally replied and informed me that he is in the area and will be stopping by for the light replacement. He then left me a txt message stating that he cannot complete the work due to a complications. After frustration with H2O Pro Pool's unprofessional service, I reached out to the pool contractor Tony who originally installed my pool system for an advice. Tony immediately sent out 2 of his crew members to replace the light at no cost and they completed the work within 20 minutes. In the past, I had some bad experiences working with other contractors for roofing, landscaping, and renovation. As soon as I contact for a warranty service , I got runarounds. Tony genuinely cares about his customers, consistently going above and beyond. He diligently follows up with updates and proactively ensures the pool remains in excellent condition. MAKING OUR DREAM COME TRUE! My wife and I decided to completely remodel and update our 40 year old pool and similarly tired backyard hardscape. It was a major undertaking that included replacing 3,000 sf of decking, updating all pool equipment and lighting, substantially enlarging the spa, adding a baja step, raising the pool's deep end by 2 1/2 feet, and so much more. We interviewed seven pool contractors, narrowed it down to two, including Sunset Outdoor Creations. From the moment we met Eric D., it was clear to us that he and his company were different from the rest. Eric listened to us, quickly understood our vision, made suggestions, and offered incredible ideas during the pre-contract process. He provided us with a virtual rendering of our vision (for free) as part of his value proposition whereas other contractors wanted to charge us as much as $2,500, up front. It was never about pressure to "seal the deal", but was about making sure he was getting the concept right for us. Eric also invited us to join him on a tour of three recently completed jobs similar to ours in scope, which we valued greatly. As a large job, wherein all the design details had not yet been worked out, Eric was patient and reassuring as we made our many color and product decisions along the way. Eric provided us with ongoing project updates and scheduling forecasts, and provided ample time for making product selections, e.g. coping and tile, without undue decision deadline pressure. Unfortunately our experience did not get that far. I reached out for them to come to our house and talk about our backyard. They were able to get us an appointment two weeks out from the original phone call but on the day of Eric texted saying he wasn't going to be able to come due to feeling sick which is understandable but to reschedule.
