I was referred by one of my neighbors and after getting 2 additional quotes, I decided on Built Right Patios. I had already seen their work on my neighbor's patio. Zack was the person who provided the quote. When I contacted him, he was able to come out the same afternoon. By the way, he accommodated my schedule and I was impressed with his flexibility. He was very through as we discussed the installation and my options. He answered all of my questions, plus some I didn't ask, but was glad he did. I asked him to give me 2 quotes, one base install, and one with the bells and whistles. When I saw the quotes, I was presently surprised because I was expecting a much higher number based on the quotes I received from other companies. Before scheduling the installation, I wanted to add some concrete first. Zack referred me to a company he works with regularly. I met with his concrete guy, and decided to work with him as well because his level of professionalism matched Zack's. The concrete crew was able to come out the next morning and completed the work in one day. After the concrete cured, we scheduled the patio installation. The installation crew arrived on time and one of them explained to me what they would be doing while the others unloaded. Kees (case) and his guys did an amazing job. Their lead time was great and their price couldn't be beat. Quality was top notch. We have an older style home and wanted to make sure we had enough room under the patio to not feel squished. We went with a 15x20 solid insulated cover with scallop trim. We used the Beam lift instead of the traditional "L" brackets for our roof mount. This gave us plenty of height and only required 3 attachment points instead of the 10 required when using the "L" bracket. We went the ultra series solid and insulated cover due to my neighbors tree, the leaves are a problem and I didn't want to have to be cleaning it out all the time. With the heavy duty coating it also allows an easy wash down and shouldn't oxidize like the cheap Alumawood series. Kees and his knowledge of the engineered plans allowed us to use 2 posts instead of the 3 to 4 everyone else wanted to use. It also made getting the permit easy when everyone was afraid. I got all the lighting and outlets I needed. Dimmer switches make it perfect. We went with two lights based on his recommendation that 4 would be too much (that's what everyone else was quoting) and after the install I would have to agree. I will be using Built right patios in the future for the front and will be recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you guys! read more

A huge red flag for us, since this is a new development and inspectors will cite and fine homeowners for violations not up to code. He was fair and not at all pushy. He explained why his product was superior as was the warranty.
