I pre ordered prior to coming to Golden Krust. I decided to get the Stew Chicken. As I arrived there was barley any parking. I doubled parked someone . The service was alright, I was patiently waiting and as soon as I thought I was the next one someone esle cut in front of me and the worker took them . Which made no sense at all since I was standing in line . I even mentioned that I pre ordered and I am waiting to pick up my food. It was a bit unorganized, they didnt know where my order was and then they asked others who were on the line what would they like. Also , my food was leaking in the bag . I asked for extra sauce but they put that extra sauce on my chicken instead of extra sauce on my rice. The food was wonderful and okay. As a Jamaican myself, it breaks my heart to see fellow Jamaicans being nasty to others. We are ambassadors for our Jamaica, bredren! They are rude, rude, rude. Beef patties and coco bread always good. Outside there is a "add cheese to any beef patty for 1 dollar sign" every time i ask they never have. One time i ordered and i was yelled at. "No cheese"!! Love a good lunch special, food is always good and fast service. However I asked for lots of gravy on my rice and was given a a teaspoon at best. So the rice was very hard to eat dry and today the curry chicken was definitely lacking flavor. Good notes are on their veggie Tarry cucumber ginger punch, it's amazing not sure if it's out sourced or they make it in house but it's amazing. I came on a Friday with my friend because I found out from her they serve cow foot at Golden Crust. Now if you know, you know and if you don't, then you don't. But try it once in your life at least...The staff was friendly and the cow foot special was super delicious We ordered ahead, just in case it ran out before we arrived. Because the last thing I want to hear is "we nuh have dat" or "it finished". I also took home a pint of grape nut ice cream which was light and refreshing for my dessert. I'll definitely be back again for breakfast...I'm glad we called ahead of time, the hours were not correct on the iPhone maps app so I thought it might be closed already because the map app said they closed at 5:30, but on Fridays and Saturdays, they are actually open until 7:30 pm, so take note in case the hours still have not updated. Overall a great experience, and a nice hefty portion of cowfoot with the butter beans and rice and sauce and vegetable. I got the large size container, plus with the grape nut ice cream it was $26. Ordered Oct. 2022 Ok, I am done with THIS location! I ordered the king fish, and it was the driest fish I had ever had. The seasoning was good, but the fish was so dry, like chewing on rubber. I couldn't even finish 1/2 my meal - TOSSED IT, but said I'd give you guys another try. Next day, everything was DRY - the whiting, as if it was left out and over from yesterday, the rice, even with a lil gravy on it was DRY, the cabbage and carrots DRY! Great dinner! SOOO GLAD I went today after the gym!! I don't know why some locals say that Golden Krust can't hold it down ... This food is SLAMMIN"!! I can totally fall in love with it I feel like I'm back in Jamaica while eating it!! I can taste the coconut & thyme in the rice and peas and the chicken is nice & season up & spicy but not too spicy - just the way I like it!! And a medium is PLENTY for one person to eat with leftovers!!! I was starving when I went in & there was a line but it went down quick! i love jamacian patties and golden krust brand is the best and the coco bread is a winner with me as well. i made a quick stop at the white plains location so i can get some chicken , veggie patties , coco bread and jerk chicken with rice which my friends and i will enjoy as soon as i get home. i am well aware they have other tasty treats to order but i love my patties the best . service is quick and friendly , prices are fair and quality of food is very good. i have wonderful memories of going bowling in the bronx on gun hill rd and walking a few blocks to feast on the patties which were less then a buck , that was a long time ago but still fresh in my mind like the patties . 5 stars on my yelp meter. read more

We arrived by 3:00 to pick it up and they said they couldn't find our order and that nobody had called it in. After an HOUR of waiting, they finally found the credit card receipt and our order. Stay away from this place! Very rude staff and never have any patties except the spicy beef ones. They hung up on me when I called the first time so I called back and asked for the same thing and was now told they do not have an item that was in my order 5 seconds ago before they hung up. When I called back a 3rd tim I was told they do have that item now and that I hung up even though they were the ones that hung up on me and the nasty person over the phone assured me I hung up on her staff member when that's just not the case. I work for a car dealership so I don't have time to waste over the phone as well as I put customer service at the top of the list. If you don't mind being treated badly then by all means check this place out, but if you care even slightly about decent customer service(not excellent) just decent customer service then stay far far away because they don't even have that. read more

If your establishment opens for business at 7:30AM and a customer arrives 15-20 minutes after opening the breakfast items should be ready. I only know golden krust as my source of carribean food for those from the carribean whom i know do not share homemade food. We love the flavor but would fare better with low sodium selections. In fact, we would eat there more if they did offer them. Also would like to see the m-f lunch specials extended to weekend.
