The only thing i think they need to do better with is if a customer calls and wants to place an order even if they are closing in a little bit is ALWAYS tell the customer yes because saying No is bad customer service.. We clled for delivery tonight, and they had our food to us within 35 minutes. Really great for a Saturday evening! We ordered Mushu Pork, honey walnut shrimp and hot and sour soup. Everything was very hot when it arrived, especially the soup. The delivery driver was courteous and friendly. The honey walnut shrimp was good, with lots of walnuts in it. The mushu also good, came with the crepes and the plum sauce. We order them often, but if you order this, know you need to put it together. This is so the crepes don't get soggy. Make sure you put the plum sauce on the crepes, then fill them and roll like a burrito. The hot and sour soup was real good and the two of us had another whole meal for leftovers. We will call for delivery again. If you are in Tracy, you need to have at least $20 order, then they charge $3 for delivery. At least $30 to have delivery in Mountain House, plus the $3. Very good food. Sophie goes out of her way to make sure you had a pleasant experience as well. One nice little bonus if you are ordering take out, the orders that have sauces come wrapped in foil so they don't leak out of the carrying container. At minimum, give this place a try. read more

This is the best Chinese food in Tracy. The food is delicious and the service is great. Sophie is the best host. She is super nice and ensures you have a great meal. Had the opportunity to visit on February 3 before the Tracy Honors Music concert at the Grand Theater. Arrived as they opened and were seated immediately. The server/owner gave us our menus and then brought the water that each of us had ordered. Started out with wonton soup and cream cheese wontons - both were excellent. Each of the four in our party ordered something for us all to share. We had mushu pork, broccoli beef, chicken with green beans and pork chow mein. Everything was excellent and plenty to share at a reasonable cost. Very attentive to our needs - would highly recommend! read more

Anyone complains of them closing at 2pm, please know this unbelievably hardworking restaurant couple maybe takes off two days in the entire year and works every night until 3 or 4 am prepping for next day. If this isn't the best broth made from scratch for wor wonton soup anywhere on this continent, or best prep for salt and pepper chicken, then I don't know what is. This dedicated and talented Chinese cuisine chef at Golden Eagle is the best in my opinion. If only he could give his dedicated wife a day off here and there, that would be nice. The service is excellent, the owners are extremely friendly. Unfortunately that's the best aspect of eating here. I had egg flower soup and a beef dish with veggie fried rice. The beef was all chewy and fatty, and the soup was so greasy I could not finish it. The rice was alright though dry and only very few veggies. And the price was definitely not cheap. Would like to start by saying great service. Very kind and polite. This was my first time here and with any new place you want them to be good. Well they are. We ordered chicken chow mein, pork fried rice and chicken with broccoli. All very good. We did a phone order. Went in and picked up, the gentleman at the front desk was in back so no one was in front. He apologized because no one was there to greet me, which I thought was very kind of him. Normally you don't get that. My order was ready for pick up. I mentioned the 5% off order for using Yelp as a reference. Which he applied. Made small talk saying it's my first time trying this place. He said he Hope's we enjoy the food and come back again. Overall a pleasant experience. Food was amazing. Not bland but not over seasoned. Rice was very flavorful, not to mention the pork had a hint of sweetness to it which made it so good!! I love me some broccoli so I loved the broccoli and chicken. Cooked to perfection! This place sucks. The rice tasted like it was dropped on the floor and left there for a day then microwaved. I took one bite then spit it out. I Was there 10 min. before a group of 3 came in and sat down. Sophie took my order first but I got my order after the 3 people got their food first. I've tried this place a couple of times now. The owner is very friendly and I enjoyed talking to her. The fried rice is very good, however the other dishes I've tried could use improvement.
