Ive eaten here before but its been a long time.. I've also ordered for delivery. .It's at the Tracy Mall in the food court. So it was a bit noisy on a Saturday. Food was tasty, but the rice was either undercooked or maybe sitting there for a while. It wasn't busy so may have not been a high turnover of dishes. Employee was nice and friendly. As I mentioned, the sliced pork and tofu zucchini were very tasty. I'd come here again when in the mood for Chinese food. read more

The food is great and hot. The service is fast, and accurate. However, if you go there when it opens they only have orange chicken prepared and I think only chow mein. You would have to wait longer for the other food to be cooked and prepared in order to select them. The ambiance is in the mall so it varies. I would recommend going here for good Chinese food with good portioning, however go at a later time in the day so you can get all of the options available. read more

For the love of god don't eat here. My coworker used to work for Chinese Gourmet and they experience firsthand their standard of cleanliness. The back of the restaurant is visibly dirty and generally gives me a sick feeling in my stomach, and occasionally they'll find roaches in their batches of orange chicken. Roaches. Their infestation is so bad that we sometimes find roaches in the arcade I work in, which is a considerable distance from Chinese Gourmet. This used to be my favorite Chinese takeout place, but after finding out about this do NOT touch this place with a 10-foot pole. read more

There's 2 girls that works there and they don't take s*** from nobody lol showed up last month and one of them had headphones and the other one was passively aggressive about why ordering an extra side of bbq pork wasn't normal. Me and my friend left there feeling like we picked up a box of belongings from some type of breakup.. confused and questioning if we did something wrong lol Anywho fast forward to today and my boss was craving their food and we told him "dude good luck and don't make eye contact"... he left unsure what we meant. But when he returned 20 mins later, he came back saying he Met the God Butcher herself. Customer service is terrible! There's a newer employee white lady with glasses and the last two visits she was totally rude to me and other customers. It threw me completely off both times as it was unprovoked and out of the blue. If you don't like your job why are you working there? Customers are the sole reason you get a paycheck - do better. If you are underpaid for your work take it up with your boss or find another job. read more

Customer service was horrible! I had a young lady help me with my order and her first impression by not smiling or at least faking one already set the tone. I was being nothing but nice to her but clearly she didn't want to be there anymore. The proportion was horrible as well... Opens late. OVER EXPENSIVE!!! I was so hungry and they were taking so long I just asked them to give me a SMALL box of orange chicken. Before ordering I asked how much the large box was and they said $10. I just asked for a small and they still charged me $10. And I even asked $10 for the small too? She said yes. $10 of a SMALL box of orange chicken. That's more expensive of the whole meal? How does that even make sense ? Food is not bad. This used to be my favorite chinese place!! Back when it was actually ran by the lil old chinese men circa '95ish. Their noodles were THEE best in Tracy. But I moved to Hawaii and forgotten about their delish food. Came back to see what I was missing all these years and the noodles were not fresh, the fried rice flavorless, kung pow was the only good thing in my entree, and orange chicken was eh. Have better on the islands. But to the real reason for the 1 star.... I found a hair, to what looked like a pubic or armpit hair in my FRIED RICE. The price was very reasonable and the portions looked healthy. The steamed rice was really good, but the entrees were really not. The barbecued pork was very fatty and somewhat flavorless. The sweet and sour chicken and the orange chicken were overly coated and gummy because of it. The sauces on the two were weak and, if blind folded, I would have been hard pressed to discern a difference between the two. The food sat in our bellies like lead. If there was a way to give them lower than one star, I would. I realize there are other choices at the Tracy Mall and you would be better pressed to go to one of those instead of this place. read more

First of all I want to say that the food is pretty decent here. However, quite greasy yet tasty. I'm almost certain that MSG is used in all the entrees prepared at this fast food mall stop. Although recently they have raised their prices and the quantity of food they used to give you has been lessened. Everything has been raised a $1. So now you pay $7 and some change for a 2 item entree. I don't know if they are just doing it for the holiday rush but if that is so, that's just wrong. I paid about $9 and some change for a 2 item entree and a large drink. It definitely wasn't worth it and I didn't get the amount of meats that they usually put. It was a Saturday night around 7:30 pm, there were loads of people in the food court and in the mall still shopping, and you barely had anything to choose from! Drop your prices back to normal and offer more of a variety of entrees. read more
