Used to like this location but the food and service has gone downhill as the price climbs. Found out my tender combo was missing the gravy dipping sauce when I got home, as well as no gravy with or on the mashed potatoes. Check your orders before driving home. Ironically there is a "crew checklist" on the side of the to-go bag, none of it was completed. read more

Sara had to finish an order that was taking a long time to prepare. As a thank you for my waiting, she gave me an extra roll. I love Golden Chick and I love that their employees care so much about their customers. Thank you Sara! read more

The service is usually quick and friendly, with staff who keep the line moving while staying polite and attentive. The ambiance is simple and clean, more functional than cozy, but comfortable enough for a quick meal. Overall, it's a solid spot when you're craving quality fried chicken without the wait. read more

Went into drive through and ordered two 6 spicy tenders with fried extra Mac n cheese but didn't revive either. Then they told me to turn around and go back through the long line because they had to make their "TIME". I ended up leaving instead of waiting in the long line. This location has never been on top of their stuff and is definitely struggling with Service. 1 star. read more

Well, per the response from management from my last review, I did give you another try. 12:15 on a Tuesday afternoon, 2 pc mixed and guess what - no chicken to fill the order. Won't try again - seems to be the standard of service. read more

Food was pretty good, was greeted and served immediately. Love golden chick so much, thank you!

I found the staff helpful and friendly. My takeout was prepared hot and fresh. The store appeared clean and tidy. As I was leaving I found myself with more than I could carry at once. A staff member was happy to help me to my car. That was definitely good customer service. This is probably my favorite location for this franchise. read more

made my food fast and everything was fresh. the manager was super kind to me. the lobby was very clean.

I love Golden Chick. But twice now I've not gotten my entire order in the drive thru. And there is nothing more frustrating about fast food than to get home and be missing something I paid for!! Today I drove all the way back...and they were nice enough to give me the fries. And I'm sorry...but when YOU mess up my order, I expect more than what I've paid for. And I'm extremely angry that I have to ask if you're going to "make it right" besides giving me something I ALREADY PAID FOR. And maybe an "I'm sorry"...but I never even got that. The owner needs to work on the customer service. There's an employee sign above the drive thru window that says check the order twice. read more

I ordered my food for pickup . When my boyfriend came to get the food , they hadn't started on it yet. He waited for it to finish , and they forgot our large jalapeno poppers and our condiments. Other than that , the food was okay. read more

Golden Chick - Monday special... - Fast Food Near Me - Garland, Texas

I'm just going to put this out there, Golden Chick is crap. First and foremost their restrooms are Out of order so you can't wash your dirty pecker tongs before you eat. Then I ordered what I was led to believe was chicken wings. Judging from this drummet bone it was either from a canary or they are raising Midget chickens. The batter was so damn hard and crunchy it exploded like shrapnel as you took a bite sending spicy seasoning airborne and in my eyes. That's my fault, I should've had on my eye protection. I can only assume this is what it would be like to eat a pine cone with no sauce. I've literally had better fried chicken from a Kid's Cuisine frozen dinner. Golden Chick you suck. read more

I have to say I go here at least twice a week for the last year and every single time I have gone I have been met with exceptional service! Coming from a customer service job myself, I feel that it is important to acknowledge when good employees are found. I have always been met with friendliness and swiftness! My usual time is around noon and the food and the service are great! I hope they continue like this cause places that make you feel welcomed are few and far between these days. read more

The food and the Customer service is great. The managers and the employees treat you well and you can never go wrong with fried chicken

The young man who took my order a few minutes ago (about 9:50p on 9/26 was exceptional. Friendly, efficient. Upsold me to the combo, which I wasn't even considering. I'm happy he did, the green beans are great!! I thought he missed the jalapeño but no, it was there. Just a great experience. When I'm in the area, I will go back. Most of all friendly - like when I asked approx. how long it would take - he politely said it shouldn't take that long. So many people at other fast food places seem just miserable to be there these days and this place had a positive vibe & I'm here for it!!! Thank you!!!! read more

I ordered my phone and was sitting in the drive through for over 30 minutes waiting for my food. It was 2 cars in front of me but the first car has been at the window for over 30 minutes. I'm currently sitting in the drive thru line right now waiting for my food and the line still hasn't moved. Idk what they have going on but this wait time is ridiculous. read more

Once again my order is wrong, I don't know why I keep coming back. If you order catfish and ask for tartar sauce twice and still don't get it???? You had one job!!! read more

I love golden chick because: It tastes soo good You have the option to make your tender spicy I'm not a soda drinker, but they give you the option to substitute a drink from your combo order for another side Their rolls are soft and sweet like Hawaiian rolls Tenders are generous sizes This location's drive thru went really quickly and the staff at the window was super friendly. read more

Golden Chic (Mesquite Location) The chicken is good but more than half the time my order is incorrect and I have to go back to the counter to get it corrected, which causes me some frustration. Some staff needs extra training on parts of the chicken! There doesn't seem to be a flow of any sort with the drive through either. I've been asked to "wait" more than once right before ordering. This place could be better if they had some kind training similar to McDonald's! read more

We went to Golden Chick on I-30 and Bobtown . At this time it's only drive thru because of the coronavirus . There was a long line but it moved very fast . The chicken was delicious and the flavor was into the meat not just the crust . It was juicy not dry and everything was hot not like it had been cooked a long time earlier . We went again today and it was good again . I would recommend this establishment to anyone read more

The food is decent for fast food but the service in incredibly slow. We live close to this location so we've given it a shot. It's not worth sitting in the drive through line for 15-20 min every time. Not exactly worth the wait. Thank you for the sarcastic response. read more

I went thru the drive thru and purchased a large order with large sides. I was told my order was gonna be a bit longer so they had me pull up and park in front of the store. They brought me my food and I left, when I arrived home, I discovered that they left out the 2 larges sides. I was so upset. I live in Rowlett and stopped there on the way home. I called their number that evening and for days after but still no one has answered. I will never to to this place again. I paid an extra $8 plus tax for those sides. I have been robbed!!!! read more

DO NOT EAT HEREEE!!!!!! They are beginning to serve batter with a little bit of chicken inside. Tenders are super hard now and the prices are way too high for just batter with no meat inside. Then they WONT ANSWER THE PHONE. The gravy is super scorching hot to disguise the cold tenders they're putting out. I used to love Golden chick but chicken express gets my money from here on out. read more

The drive thru speaker here is a piece of crap. Maybe it's the same Franchisee that had the Heff's next door that closed it's doors. It's so bad that I will go out of my way to go somewhere else. Godbless the employees for putting up with it. read more

45 minute wait for a mixer of chicken and tenders. Upon arriving home, tenders were old and cold and chicken was extremely greasy. $43 dollars down the drain, and a promise to never return. read more

Second time I've been here, it will be the last. Same sort of attitude and atmosphere each time I've been there. They're always in such a hurry to get you out of there that they don't do their jobs right. Utensils to eat with would be nice, napkins even. The first time I went they forgot to put two of the things I ordered in the bag. With such little effort going into their customer service, it makes me wonder wonder if the same effort is being put into preparing this food as well, or what other shortcuts are being taken, or safety precautions with the food not being worried about. You guys seem to prefer being in the store by yourself, enjoy it. read more

I went here 12 days ago and ordered $50 in food for my family. When I got home the Lg Mac and Cheese was half full and very OLD .. Only 1 of the 2 Lg Mashed potatoes was full the other only had 1 scoop in it. The family tenders we ordered was full of bits and pieces. I contacted them via there FB Messanger and they said they would get back to me very soon since this is "Unacceptable" according to them. .. Iam still waiting to be contacted even though I have tried multiple times. ... Never going there or ANY of its affiliates again. ... Management (Corp and Store level) dont care as much as they seem. Excellent service everybody is always friendly, my food is always warm an they pretty fast

I am genuinely upset and disappointed with this location and it's management. I purchased $39 worth of chicken for a study group that meets on Sunday. The following day I realized they had overcharged my credit card. I located my receipt and verified the overcharge. After several attempts to contact the restaurant by phone, all ignored, so I drove to the location to speak with the manager in person. With receipt and bank statement in hand, I asked for a manager. Two people later I was approached by Claudia who stated she was the General Manager. Her only response, repeated response, was this was between me and my bank. When I indicated that I would escalate the complaint to corporate she laughed and all but dared me to do so. She completed this lack of customer service by explaining that corporate will only turn the complaint back over to her and her answer will be the same. If this is the policy of Golden Chicken then they have lost my business across the board. read more

Horribly run; no sense of customer service or common sense; wow!!! People in line wondered if they were invisible and you better triple check your order! Not a good atmosphere. No one working there seems to want to be there. read more

Worst GM ever!!! Her assistant manager Kebren messed up my order and said nothing about bringing a receipt. I showed up to get my order fixed and this lady hassled me!!! Poor customer service!!!! She finally fixed my order but scolded me for not having a receipt. She still got my order wrong. I received no sauce. She was more concerned with a receipt than getting my order right. Unbelievable!!!! read more

Worst GM I've ever met(Sundays). Snatched my food out of my hands because he was bothered by me returning my biscuits I paid for. I have to wait, on average, 25 mins ever time I come. And they do not answer the phones when I try to call in ahead of time. read more

Let me start off by saying I love Golden Chick. I eat here at least once a week. I was so excited when they opened one close to the house. Since I usually eat at the one in Plano, near my job. This new location, has jacked up their prices so high compared to other locations. It is ridiculous. Plus, I order spicy and my chicken strips and they barely add an spice to them. Guess I will just stick to the Plano location. read more

Tasty tenders! We added fries (awesome crunchy coating), mac n cheese (just ok), and greens beans (delish of course because it was cooked with bacon). The rolls were a nice touch too. Kids loved the free post meal ice cream. read more

I'm not sure I've checked in to this particular numerous time trying to give it chance after chance. For some reason I just don't feel like this place runs by the standards of golden chic. For one this establishments tenders are NOT the same as the others. They are always skinny, thin and barely any chicken. Other locations I've been to have plump chicken tenders. I kept going to this location thinking that maybe I kept getting a bad batch or whatever the reason might have been. But I actually took it to a whole different level. I went to 2 different locations and compared apple to apple. The gravy at this location is more watered down. The mashed potatoes have a bland watery taste to them. The chicken barely has any meat. The crunch on the chicken tastes stale. There is barely any spice when we order spicy strips. We ask for the zang sauce they charge us 25 cents. I'm not very happy with this location. read more
