Service is great! Ginger and April are awesome! Go visit this location! Food is always fresh and the tea is the best!

First off the inside was shut down, no problem with that, the problem was the worker parked across all spaces smoking a cigarette in her truck telling us to leave. My boyfriend and I ordered a door-dash pickup and had 10 minutes till our order was ready for pickup. We were trying to park in a spot and wait but she made it very difficult to do so. We ordered 2 3pc Catfish meals and were very disappointed. The drive from the place to my home was less than 5 minutes. When we got home and opened the boxes EVERYTHING was cold, nothing had heat on it. When I go to tear apart my catfish it snaps in half on the touch and sounds like a rock fell onto my lap. I look in the pice of catfish in my hand and there is nothing but the breading. My boyfriend's plate was the exact same. We are very very disappointed at this location. read more

Food always takes longer than the estimated pick up time. And I'm not talking 5 minutes late, it's almost always 15 minutes or more late. Food quality is inconsistent, sometimes it's great and other times it's the smallest chicken pieces you've ever seen with a horrible texture. They also never get delivery orders correct. You will have to double check your order is correct in person before leaving or else it will be wrong (every time). Customer service is forgettable, there's worse places for sure. I don't recommend ordering from here unless you will be picking up in person and can validate the quality and correctness of your food. read more

I have never seen one of these before, and have you moved in the area when you tried? The places didn't exist in the Northwest. I had their roasted chicken. The flavor was simply amazing. It was slow roasted and it looked like it had been smoked with lots of spices. If I were to raise any concerns, it's just that that piece of chicken was awfully small. I think when they roast it for that long it just dries out some and then it shrinks a lot, but it was darn tasty. The service is quite good. The place is clean and you get yourself a free ice cream cone as long as you want to pull it yourself after your meal. read more

Lady was literally smoking a vape while handing me my food and it was just very unprofessional how she was just smoking her vape while food was being handled read more

5 stars to the woman at the register! She greeted us when we walked in. Informed us that there was a wait on the chicken strips. She was very friendly. The food is a 3-4 stars. The chicken was good, the fries and mac n cheese were just ok, the okra was good and the rolls were delicious. read more

10/10 service and food. i have had some consistently awful fast food experiences for the last few weeks and I came here and it was all literally perfect read more

Service was really great and the food was hot and fresh even whenever we arrived 30 minutes before closing!

Excellent fast food chicken and catfish. The Golden Roast chicken is excellent. The chicken salad is a meal on it's own...tomorrow's lunch. The catfish is everything catfish ought to be. Rolls are sweet bread soft, almost a dessert. Lottazing sauce better with catfish....more dip than sauce. All in all cost was reasonable, fed 4 for 36.00. Parking and exiting was bummer. Ice machine was in-op. Ice was dispensed behind counter. Cost your location a star. read more

I'm hot hot hot and it's not the weather. I online ordered two chicken salads and a chicken tender kids meal. That's $25.00+ for two bowls of lettuce and two chicken tenders, four packets of salad dressing. Where's the quality control, no one checked to see if the salads were complete???!!! Not good folks. Btw, I've called the store number now six times, so this complaint has gone to cooperate. Bad business bad business. read more

I tried those sriracha hot/sweet tenders the other day. I was incredibly disappointed. They were cool, hard to bite, and the sauce was so overwhelming, I had to use at least 15 napkins to get through the order. The tenders were mostly breading, mostly overly fried and very difficult to chew. Taking tenders that have been sitting under the heat lamp for hours and covering them with sauce does not make them more edible. The staff was great so that's why I gave 3 stars. read more

After a really hard day Sunday driving down from Fort Worth to visit my mom in the nearby nursing home, with a toddler, we decided to stop at Golden Chick on the way back because they usually have great food. My daughter needed to use a restroom so you tried to go inside and the door was locked between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.. we went to the drive-thru and ordered a big meal and that included mashed potatoes and coleslaw. They have us pull up because of cars behind us so we did. Somebody runs the food out to us real quick. We drive off and I'm going through the bag there are no utensils to eat with, no napkins, my tea is really gross, which I did not drink when I got home I took the lid off to look at it and it was black really black, and that's after the ice melted in it. Also my coleslaw is still in my fridge waiting for trash day because it was not good at all. My chicken tenders were really scrawny. They didn't even have extra batter on them they were really pitiful. We barely got enough to eat. We had to stop at McDonald's and get a good tea, where we also had to get everything else we needed and to use the restroom. We shouldn't have had to do that. We wasted $20 on your restaurant when we could have gone somewhere much better. The guy working the window was very nice but that's about all we could say. The one star is for the guy that worked the window. read more

1 have been there 8 years now and I can't see me working anywhere else. And the food is awesome.

Waited 36 minutes for food, there were two of us. The restaurant was not busy on the inside but the drive thru has priority. The food was was it was, it's fast food. The staff isn't helpful to resolve the issue of the extended wait time for dine in, so it's unlikely we will be back. read more

Best chicken, prices, & sides! Staff is always friendly & efficient. (Has been true at all locations).

Last night was the most disappointing experience I have ever had at this Golden Chick. I have spent money with them before. I love the family environment that the staff has and the comradery. Food is always hot and never disappoints. Well, until last night. I order thru the drive-thru, and since we both ordered catfish, we were asked to pull around and someone will bring our order out in 5 minutes. After sitting there for 25 minutes, the store cleared out there customers and the staff was standing around talking. I got out of my car and went in to find out what the hold up is with our order. When talking to the young girl at the front counter and I told her my order, she was like "oh, you had the catfish." They didn't bother to ask the manager in the drive thru who the order belonged to. I instantly asked for my refund since my time was wasted. The manager gave me my refund, but didn't offer to make it right by fulfilling the order that should've been to us 25 minutes ago. She said, "I didn't forget about you". REALLY???? Your team did, so in effect, that includes you Ms. Manager. So, no food offered for the inconvenience, and she had the nerve to say, "See you next time." NO. REALLY. YOU ARE NOT SEEING ME NEXT TIME!!! This is a damn shame seeing the have the best catfish in the area. I hate I am even writing this review, because they always seemed nice. read more

Came here for lunch! It was mid nothing to to great but it definitely was terrible . Chicken sandwich W/macaroni was good.

Ordered DoorDash . Order was completely wrong. Right name but wrong order. Said I should come back. My car's not working. That's why I ordered through door dash. read more

Well we decided to give them another try. Only gave one star, because you have to, to be able to leave review Very disappointed. Got order to go. Got home didn't have all the order. I got a 3 piece fish dinner. More like nuggets than catfish strips. For the price, they have to do way better. Won't be going back there. read more

I went to order a 16 pieces family tender meal and wanted to get half and half she got mad and said we don't do that here I then asked her why does your website say that I can she paused then with a snarky remark she told me well that's how you get mostly spicy anyway I guess I can put them in two separate boxes I went to order the rest of my sides and asked for butter and honey for the rolls and she goes are you sure you want that we don't have rolls so she subbed it for a side which was okay and appreciated that until I got to the window I watched her (manager) stand there and talk crap about me ordering what I ordered and she proceeded to dump a ton of spicy seasoning all over the tenders so much so that they are extremely red and almost can't eat them because they are so salty and you can't taste the chicken definitely not impressed with the manager and how she handles any of this hope corporate reads this. Side note the box had at least 30 packets worth of seasoning sitting in the bottom of the box 06/07/2024 @3:40 read more

The first time I ate here last year, 2 of their employees (who were on duty) had Covid 19 and I had to get tested. This time, it took over 10 minutes to get them to take my order at the drive thru, then I waited 10-15 min more to get my food. This store needs new management and customer service training. Unbelievable! read more

I've called at different times of the day to do a catering order with questions. They never answer the phone. Grrrrr

i seen some people smoking in the back and the walls are wood and i think there is termites and the wait time is so long

Pretty pretty good. Finally went to Golden Chick & ordered the great looking catfish that I've been seeing on television. I was quite impressed! It was very tasty and cooked to perfection. I had French fries as a side that were just like any other fries. No surprises there. Ordered the sweet tea and it was meh! Not Momma's lol! I do recommend this eatery and especially the catfish!! read more

Had to change the rating. Yeah the customer service is a hit or miss, but the food is always so good !!

Sunday was the 2nd at this location.... the 1st time was surprisingly good and ladies behind the counter we nice and engaging.... the 2nd time we went.. we did the drive throu and again the young lady at the window was nice and observant... she made a mistake on the order and realized before handing it to me.... We will be back thank y'all for being consistent read more

Rude employees don't have posted dining room closed and when I entered was fussed at for going in so left will not give them my business

Great place. Friendly staff serving freshly made and tasty food from clean kitchen to be eaten in an equally spotless dining area. Kudos to the manager on duty and his excellent staff. Yelped it on the way back to Dallas and took a small detour from IH-35 North into Belton on Saturday afternoon around 2:15. Sure glad we did! Great experience, and will add this location to our list of favorites that we will visit with confidence when traveling South or North on IH-35. (It's always worth an extra 7 or 8 minutes to slow down, stretch your legs, and relax a bit. The rest of the trip home was a breeze thanks to this place.) read more

I ordered through the drive thru and was told there would be a 7 minute wait on tenders and that they were out of ice. I was asked to pull around front and after waiting more than double the quoted wait time I went inside to ask about my order. I was then told gravy wasn't ready either. When asked why they didn't disclose an accurate wait time, I was repeatedly told the person I was talking to didn't take my order and it wasn't her fault. The service at this establishment has been steadily declining for months and the food just isn't worth all the issues with service and wait times. read more

went in today after seeing a catfish special online for $7.99, went inside to get a to go order and was told they didn't have a special at this time but she'd let me have the special price anyway. A minute later I was given my order and I thought wow that was fast. Get to work, literally a 3 minute drive and opened the box to find 2 dried out and cold pieces of catfish. :( No bueno! read more

Good food, but lozy service, Tried to contact Ginger, one of the best managers, who cares, however cannot get the store to answer the phone no matter what time you try to call. normaly good crispy hot chicken and the best fried okra in town, however now te last three times, it was soggy and cold. and the chicken was also cold and noty the usual great chicken we normally get. I cannot understand why a restaurant will not answer thye phone, and when you go by, the dinning room is always closed. so you cannot contact the manager.. normally would give a high rationg but not this time. I tried my best to contact Ginger, to let her know what was going on when she was not working read more

Unbelievable! We just wasted 40 minutes of our lives. We had ordered 2 four piece chicken tender meals. 2 people in front of us ask for their money back. So after 40 minutes we decided to do the same. if we were ordering meth then they would have been able to deliver that quickly. read more

Took a second for the two girls up front to even acknowledge that I was standing there. But we're very sweet afterwards. I give 3 stars because the mashed potatoes were sooo cold it was disgusting could not finish the food. Chicken tenders were great and the spicy seasoning was good. The bun that comes with the meal was cold, hard and gross. Will come back for just the tenders! read more

Fattiest saltiest mess I've ever eaten. So golden chick. ..at least this one isn't as great as it used to be. I do admit the chicken size is massive compared to Popeyes baby chicken drums but gosh it's nothing but nasty slimy FAT!! 3rd time I've been there in the past 6 months same thing...super crispy outside nasty fatty inside. By the time I'm done eating my plate had a huge pile of white glistening fat on it with bones.....gross. oh and not to mention it's so salt! Do they soak the chicken overnight in salt water or something. read more

Please do not buy your chicken here. We came back to try them again after a while. The results were the same. Did not get everything we ordered. Ask the girl at the window if all was in the bag. She said " yes it is". How hard is it to make sure you have everything a customer orders. The owners do not care about their customers. So do yourself a favor. Avoid Golden Ckick in Belton. Called the on duty manager back. Could have cared less. Wish I could give 0 stars. Stoner Family good luck existing with the poor service this place has. I have no idea if the location has changed over the years, but I've been eating at Golden Chick in Belton for well over 15 years and it's always been my favorite chicken place! Someone higher up needs to shape this place up!!!! 9 times out of 10, we DO NOT get what we order even though they repeat the order back to us 2-3 times. When we ask them why this keeps happening, the girl told us she had 5 kids & didn't get much sleep. REALLY?!?!?!? One time they confessed they burned our order & had to cook more which wasn't any better. They don't seem to care whether you get your order or not, and it's always a long wait at the Drive thru. Service is not much better inside. 20-30 minute wait. read more
