11/17/24 We recently…read morediscovered Hooverville Orchards on a local community post and have been looking to go check them out. Hubs loves pie in general so you know I had to drag him along! We finally made it out on Sunday morning and it's a really cute orchard! Hooverville Orchards offers so many fruit pies, cobblers, cookies, sourdough bread, tiramisu, fruit juices, jams and jellies and fresh baked gluten free pies. We grabbed a large peach blackberry pie and a sourdough bread to go. The sourdough is sooo good! It's perfectly the right chewy texture and taste! I wished we would have grabbed 2! My kids felt like the perfect description for this bread was if sourdough & ciabatta had a baby bread. OoOo haha. I read that they occasionally have garlic loaves, rosemary flavored and even Olive ones too! I'd have to come back one of those weekends! They are taking Thanksgiving Pie orders through this week. The pie was really good too! The crust was flaky and good. The fruit was not overly sweet or tart and best of all served warm if you go early enough. This past weekend, they also had satsuma mandarins available for $3/lb. We grabbed a bag and grabbed a little over 3lbs for the kiddos lunch snack for school this week. It's a tad tart but oh so juicy bursting tart mandarins! It's a bit of a windy road getting there so try to take it easy and try not missing the left turn to the Orchard as you'd be stuck for a few minutes up the hill trying to make a U-turn to make a sharp right turn. We didn't spend a ton of time there but read that they have a huge rose garden where you can pick your own roses for $1/stem! We'll have to roam around next time! We'll be back soon.

Thai Noodle Express - Pad Thai,

Noodle Express is one of those small restaurants that reminds you genuine service still exists…read more From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming -- a cozy, intimate space filled with aromas that immediately awaken your appetite. The smells and flavors are rich, balanced, and clearly defined, exactly what you hope for from this new generation of fast casual restaurants where speed should never compromise quality. What makes this place especially interesting is the service dynamic: they ask for the tip before you even try the food or receive the service. There are no traditional waiters. The same young woman taking orders also works as the cashier, server, table cleaner, and takeout coordinator all at once, handling four to six tables while keeping everything moving with impressive efficiency and a genuinely positive attitude. And honestly, after experiencing the food and the service, it makes you want to go back and leave the tip again. The dishes are flavorful, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. Every plate delivers excellent texture, clear seasoning, and the feeling that attention was given to every detail. For an "express" restaurant, it easily outperforms many larger establishments where the experience often feels cold, rushed, or disconnected. At a time when many restaurants have turned service into something robotic -- where cashiers and servers can often seem indifferent -- Noodle Express stands out for the opposite reason: authentic effort, harmonious service, and food with real character. We give it five stars for flavor and texture. And five stars for service. Because tipping should always reflect the quality of service, not be treated as an automatic obligation before the experience even begins. Great food should always be expected -- just like it is at this restaurant -- but true service is what people actually remember.

1 Star! Disappointing Service and Food. First time eating at Thai Noodle Express last Sunday…read more(4/12/26), and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We were a group of 11, and I had to say our experience was very similar to another reviewer here, (Elite Marlane R.) The guy punk white dude taking our order was also the one bringing out the food, and his attitude was honestly shocking. When we politely asked if we could switch coffee to Coke, he immediately said no in a loud, irritated tone, saying Coke costs more than coffee. For us, the price difference wasn't even an issue, it was the way he spoke to us that felt disrespectful. At one point, I was just looking toward the door, and he suddenly asked me, "What are you looking at?" in a loud voice, as if I was staring at him. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary, especially since it drew attention from everyone around. Despite the poor service, we still made the effort to clean up after ourselves, busing our plates and making sure the table was neat before leaving. To the owner of Thai Noodle Express, I hope you can train your staff on how to properly treat customers. Good service goes a long way. On top of everything, the Pad Thai did not taste authentic. Very disappointing overall. I wouldn't recommend this place based on our experience.

Every visit feeds my soul in some quiet, grounding way. Kendra and everyone who works there are absolutely wonderful. Kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. There's never been a time I've visited and not felt uplifted by the energy of the place and the people. They carry the full line of doTERRA essential oils, which are among the purest available anywhere. I wouldn't trust ordering oils from Amazon--there's no way to verify their purity or quality, and adulterated or diluted oils are a real issue. But at The Essential Oil Marketplace, I know I'm getting authentic, high-quality oils every time. Beyond the oils themselves, they offer so many beautiful products made with essential oils--lotions, blends, personal care items, and more. They also provide ionic foot baths and Zyto scans, which can help guide you toward the oils your body might be calling for. I've found it all to be deeply supportive to my overall well-being. Even just stopping in to pick up my filtered Kangen water has become a cherished ritual. It's $2 if you bring your own bag, and it feels like part of a larger act of self-care every time I go. If you're looking for a peaceful, trustworthy place to explore natural health and genuine human connection, this is it. I feel lucky to have a store like this in my community.
