When you are craving a place to eat and craving a Báhn Mì this is the place to go. I got the Hoi An and it was great. They were able to cut the sandwich in half and make my egg over easy. I'm definitely going to have it again soon. I also order a side of garlic rice. That was good as well.
Gold Banh is right next door to And Broth at Glendora Public Market. It is also 1 of the 24 participating restaurants in the 2026-2027 MySGV X 626 Night Market Passport Limited Edition (valid through June 30, 2027). Glad to have returned to enjoy another delicious banh mi sandwich. Yay, got my 5th stamp in my food passport! Free offer from them is the 2 pc Fried Spring Rolls and 1 Drink. Thanks Gold Banh! I enjoyed the spring rolls very much. They were crispy with flavorful filling. Calamansi lemonade was surprisingly refreshing. It had a cool and nice sparkling after taste... I would get it again. I have been wanting to try their Breakfast Sando. It was my chance to get it and so I did that day. Amazingly tasty combination of thick spam and perfectly cooked egg with fresh veggies in a light and crispy banh mi. Highly recommend! I paid regular price for it. If I can get here early in the morning, they have it for a discounted price. Just an FYI. Staff was nice and helpful. My order was ready in a jiffy. Atmosphere was quiet at the community seating. I can see myself returning to get the Breakfast Sando again and maybe even try their other sandwich combinations that I haven't tried yet. If you haven't been to Gold Banh, now may be a good time to check them out.
The Vietnamese rolls at Gold Banh are HUGE. They're made fresh to order, and you can actually customize what goes inside while they're rolling it up, which is a pretty nice touch. They also pack these things with a ton of fresh veggies, so every bite has that nice crunchy, refreshing texture. Definitely not one of those rolls where you take a bite and wonder where all the filling went. My only complaint is the sauce situation. The options are pretty limited, and they don't give you much of it. As someone who is very much a saucy guy, I need more sauce! Give me enough to generously dip every bite, please. Otherwise, fresh, customizable, generously filled, and seriously satisfying. Just let me have my sauce and we're golden.
Always on the hunt for fresh Vietnamese spring rolls, so I knew that I wanted to try this when we finally got to check out the Glendora Public Market (quaint and super spacious), even though they're more known for their banh mi sandwiches (next time and will update). Appreciated the super nice working guy here who let me know that I can pick different proteins for each of the three huge and freshly made spring rolls that come in the order; super helpful since there were so many options! The grilled chicken and grilled pork were sadly quite dry, but the sausage was incredibly flavorful and definitely my favorite out the three! The guy did recommend the crispy pork belly, so I might have to try that next time. The signature "not" peanut sauce tasted odd for me, so might have to try one of their other options next time I find myself in the area. Fresh and ample ingredients otherwise! Of note, utensils are available next door at their sister vendor, And Broth, per the young lady also working there.
Conveniently located inside the Glendora Public Market, with plenty of parking in the back. I also love that it's an indoor establishment, making it a great option when you want to escape the summer heat or get out of the rain while enjoying your meal. Everything we tried was delicious, and the portions are incredibly generous--definitely a great spot for sharing. The half-pound portion of pastrami was piled high with tender, flavorful meat, while the pickled vegetables added a bright, tangy contrast that cut beautifully through the richness of the pastrami. The char siu was equally impressive--tender, juicy, and full of flavor--and the rolls were impressively large. The staff was warm and attentive, taking the time to explain the menu and make recommendations, which I really appreciated. Between the quality of the food, generous portions, and genuinely friendly service, this is definitely a spot I'd come back to try more of the menu.
It's a very interesting Vietnamese fusion spot where you can get a great bahn MI (think traditional and fusion, like the pastrami), and also a bowl of Pho that will knock you out of your socks. Not exactly cheap ( means in our Southern California and economy right now), but high quality and lots of love in everything. Customer service is 10/10, and so is the atmosphere.

Every bite offers a solid contrast of savory meats and textures, with the fresh pickled veggies and crusty bread keeping the rich profile in check. A deeply satisfying, well-built classic. Easily one of the best new sandwich spots around. Will definitely be back for the pastrami!
My husband has been craving a quality pastrami sandwich and social media brought us to try Gold Banh. We have had hit or miss experiences with social media recommendations, but Gold Banh lived up to the hype for us. They definitely have a strong following with a line to show for it. We had a great first visit and have been back once since then. Gold Banh is located in the Glendora Public Market. There is free parking designated for the Public Market. There is also plenty of tables chairs inside the Public Market for people to enjoy their food on site. As noted above, the Gold Banh line can get very long to order, however, the staff does an excellent job of fulfilling orders quickly and accurately. Our order consisted of: - a Full No. 47 Pastrami Special - the summer rolls: Pork Belly and two pastrami The pastrami was perfection. So good and my husband was thrilled to have a quality, tender, and flavorful pastrami sandwich. It was obvious they know what they're doing. The proteins in the summer rolls were also tasty. Light, but just the right amount of protein and fixings to make it filling. Pricing for the pastrami sandwich is a little high, but the quality and taste are justifiable. Needless to say, we are a fan of Gold Banh. We don't live close to the Glendora area, but it would definitely be our new spot to catch a fantastic pastrami sandwich if we find ourselves close by. If you're reading this and trying to debate about whether to stop by; yes, absolutely do it.
The hype is real. Finally made it out to Gold Banh in Glendora, and I can see what all the talk is about. I tried Tom's Famous Pastrami and it was an easy 10/10. The way the flavors of a traditional banh mi come together with that luscious, smoky, perfectly steamed pastrami is just awesome. It's one of those sandwiches where every bite makes you want another. I also tried the #47, which was an 8/10. Really good sandwich, but for me, it's still a step below Langer's #19. Overall, Gold Banh definitely lives up to the hype. I'll be back for sure.
SGV Passport sent us here. No sigbsge on the side if building so had to do a u-turn. Was Saturday night and on Yelp says they close at 8pm...we saw lights still on so decided to call they said they close at 9pm. Passport gave us a free drink and two eggrolls. Drink was ok not too sweet. Think it was a pink lemonade (?) eggs rolls not the same size so maybe home made?? They were not piping hot nor crispy i would have liked some sauce. Ordered a half portion pastrami banh mi $18.99 They sell three types of pastrami banh mi full portion pastrami was about $30! Sandwich was ok. We ate it, but didn't feel like we need to drive 16 miles to go again. When i told employee i went on yelp and suggested they fix the posted hour closing Saturday to 9pm vs 7pm he didn't seem to care or appreciate it....oh well,
Everything other reviewers said is correct the best pastrami banh mi I've ever had. The meat was lean flavorful and all the ingredients in the gold standard made it delicious. Definitely a must return.
Not the best Banh Mis I've tried, however last time I ordered again the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and it was an improvement since last time. It was yummy and less fatty chicken and grisly pieces in the sandwich. Solid spot for lunch or dinner in the Glendora Public Market.
Located inside the Glendora Public Market. It was pretty empty when I went, so there was plenty of seating. PASTRAMI: 5/5. Is it authentic banh mi meat? No. Is it thick, juicy, tender perfection? Yes. I ate this four days ago and have thought about it. Every. Single. Day. Since. I'm getting the full pound next time. SAIGON: 4/5. I'm sure this one is amazing in its own right, but it definitely paled in comparison to the pastrami for me. Look at that layer of butter though?? If it's not at least this thick, I don't want it.

First time coming to Gold Banh. My husband and I stopped by to redeem our 1 Free 2 pc Fried Spring Roll + 1 Free Drink. Service was great. We were greeted and taken care of as soon as someone became available. For my drink, I got their Calamansi Arnold Palmer. The fried spring rolls were fresh, crunchy, and light. I was able to taste the pork and veggies in every bite. Their complimentary sauce added a nice balance of sweetness to them. This was a great appetizer. I'm glad I finally tried this spot out. I would seriously think twice before ordering the steak sandwich from this place. The one I was served had way too many pieces of fat throughout the meat, to the point where it was disgusting and difficult to enjoy. For $15, I expected a decent steak sandwich, not something where I'm constantly pulling out or biting into chunks of fat. Maybe I just received a bad portion, but based on what I was served, it was absolutely not worth the price. Very disappointing and felt like a complete rip-off. read more

Was getting my dog groomed down the street and decided to go to the Glendora Public Market. Since the Public Market is huge, I didn't know what to eat. I was about to eat tacos but saw the long line for this place then got curious. Food: Incredible! I got the Pastrami Banh Mi and I never had anything like it. I feel like the OG toppings for the Banh Mi paired really well with the pastrami. It was also pretty packed. I only ate half and gave the other half to my partner. I also tried the calamansi lemonade and loved how it tasted refreshing! Service: Awesome. The two staff members who helped me from making my sandwich to ringing me up had an awesome attitude and my overall experience great. Ambiance: Can't really say much since it's in the Public Market but their food station looked very neat and clean! Overall, need to take my partner here because he was also very intrigued with the sandwich and indulged in it as much as me :) read more

Came by for lunch after taking a class in the area. WOW I will continue to be sad this is so far away from me for some time :( Tom's Famous Pastrami Bahn Mi 5/5, so delicious!! I got this with the garlic butter and half a pound of meat. 1/2 of this sandwich is enough for me for a meal so this serving did last me 2x times but if you eat more than this is definitely $$. The meat is fresh and the combination of the garlic butter + meat + fresh veggies is a flavor delight for the senses read more

OK so now for the explanatory review: The Pastrami banh mi, crispy Pork Belly banh mi, both Gold Standard style are worth it every time. I knocked this spot down 2 stars because their online and mobile access needs A LOT OF WORK. Their phone line sends you to an endless loop of **PRESS ONE TO SPEAK TO THE STAFF**, which just sends you back to their main menu. Their phone message says "skip the delivery fees by ordering directly from "www.goldbanh.com". NOPE! Website doe not exist. Ok, let me click the button on this here yelp page that says ORDER THRU DOOR DASH - NOOOOPE! Only order options are one breakfast sandwich, a build-your-own vermicelli, or EXTRA MEAT (what that extra meat goes on, NO ONE KNOWS...) I ended up just ordering in person and mentioned it to the guys at the counter. They were super helpful, were aware that the phones were down but didn't know about the busted web page and online ordering, and passed the info along to the owners. I'll update the Star rating once they fix the online/phone ordering process. But for now use the Toast link I shared or show up in person and hop in line. The banh mi's are worth it. read more
This is in a food hall, so be prepared for that. It's open and airy and the noise level is above average at times. Tom's Famous Pastrami $18.99 - they asked if I wanted a half pound or a full pound. I can't imagine eating an entire pound. I wonder if they charge more, though? I didn't ask! It's not thinly-sliced pastrami, btw, if you're expecting something like Jolly Jug or the Hat. To make it a combo, it was another $5.99 for two fried spring rolls, sweet and spicy dipping sauce, and a canned soda. I went back for breakfast and tried their Good Morning Sando $8.50 and a Tom's Viet Coffee for $5.49 Everything was pretty substantial and filling. I don't think the value is there for the prices, because there are other establishments where inflation creep brought the PoP (Price of Pastrami) to $10, but ~$20 is getting wild. Plus tip I can see an individual meal costing nearly $40. If it's payday and you feel like splurging, come try this! read more

I'm just going to start with the price: it's pricey, but honestly, it's worth it. 1 lb: $29.99 1/2 lb: $18.99 I went with the 1 lb sandwich because I figured I might regret it if I didn't. After the first bite, I was loving it. I honestly didn't expect pastrami to work this well with pâté, garlic aioli, mustard, pickled carrots and daikon, red onion, cilantro, and cucumbers. It's basically a bánh mì loaded with some seriously delicious pastrami! The pastrami was tender, slightly smoky, rich, and incredibly juicy. All the vegetables helped balance out the richness, so every bite had a great mix of flavors and textures. I've seen this sandwich all over my IG feed, and I'm happy to say it definitely lives up to the hype. Would I get it again? Absolutely. Although next time, I might go a little easier on both my wallet and my stomach and stick with the 1/2 lb sandwich. I finished about 3/4 of the 1 lb pretty easily, but that last 1/4 took a lot longer than I expected. Every bite was enjoyed and savored, though. I'll definitely be making my way back to try some of their other offerings! read more
I've gone to Glendora public market several times but this was the first time I've tried gold banh. And I am so glad that I did! I ordered the chicken bowl with vermicelli and salad with peanut sauce. It was delicious and will definitely be my new go-to item! read more

I almost went to the restaurant next to them. I wanted a sandwich, but was leaning towards the barbecue pork. They mentioned the pastrami. I've had pastrami at the Hat and didn't like it. There's is completely different. They smoke it for 14 hours. It's so tender and juicy. I have a new favorite sandwich. read more

My hubby brought me here for lunch and ordered the Banh Mi Pastrami sandwiches for both of us. OMG... this was hands down the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had! The flavors were incredible, the bread was perfectly fresh, and everything just worked together so well. It was so good that I honestly can't imagine ordering anything else whenever I come back. I usually don't finish an entire sandwich, but this one was impossible to put down, I ate every last bite! The sandwich came with homemade chips, which were delicious and the perfect side. This spot is located inside the Glendora Public Market. The staff were nice and friendly, ordering was quick and easy, and the space was clean and tidy. I don't usually chase viral foods but if you put banh mi and pastrami together, you got me! Gold Banh is located within the Glendora Public Market and has ample parking available in the lot. There are some seats inside but I came here to grab a few banh mi to-go. I went closer to 5:00 PM and was lucky to see a small line at the time. For the pastrami banh mi, I added garlic butter (extra - $2), the "gold standard" for the toppings, and half pound. Since I was sharing, I decided to get a crispy pork belly banh mi with garlic butter and gold standard as well. The first thing I noticed right away was that both banh mi were HUGE. There was no question that the portion was shareable. When it came to the pastrami, this was honestly really good. In comparison, the pork belly was slightly underwhelming. It wasn't really that crispy versus other places that I've tried. Overall, if I had the craving, I think the Pastrami banh mi is worth revisiting. However, I'll skip out on the garlic butter next time. The banh mi also leans more towards the expensive side. American Express is accepted here. read more
Really nice Bahn Mi shop in the Glendora Marketplace. Ample free parking in the attached lot. Service was quick and friendly. Luckily not much of a line on a Monday at noon. Got their Pork BBQ Bahn Mi, with their standard recommended preparation, which was great. Their Pastrami Bahn Mi is fantastic. Half pound would be a regular meal for most, but if you have a huge appetite, the pound of meat would be recommended. This sandwich is quite pricy (18.99 for half, but a bit more than $30 for full pound). Viet coffee was good. Strong and not overly sweet, can't complain. Overall a pricy Bahn Mi place, but not truly fair to compare to standard Vietnamese places as the meat quality here is VERY high and much more than you'd get elsewhere (esp a comparison to Lee's where you can sometimes get a single sliver of thin meat on a bad day). read more

Located at the Glendora Marketplace, Gold Banh offers something for everyone. I had the steak Banh Mi sandwich, big enough for two. I also got their chips, made in-house. The sandwich is chocked full of steak and fresh veggies. I spiced mine up with jalapeños. It was just perfect. read more

This location is inside the Glendora Marketplace. They are open 7 days a week from 7AM to 8PM for breakfast lunch and dinner. The breakfast sandwiches have eggs, sausage or steak. Lunch and dinner menu is the same (Sandwich, Salad or Summer Rolls). I ordered the Char Siu Pork Bahn Mi sandwich $9.75, plus a combo of chips and a soft drink for $4.99 extra. The bread was toasted and outstanding, a slight crunch on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. The Gold Standard filling was the best part (cucumbers, cilantro, daikon radishes, and carrots) with pate and aioli dressing. Other protein options are Chicken, Sausage Spam, Shrimp, and Tofu. The most popular protein is the Pastrami. It looked so good, I'm still drooling over it and bookmarking this spot for a return visit. My coworkers and i have been closely following Gold Banh for several weeks and were able to meet up for lunch at the Glendora location. I ordered the 1 lb Tom's Famous Pastrami banh mi. It lived up to all the hype. The combinations of flavors is unique. Very different in a good way. The pastrami is premium grade, hand sliced, navel smoked pastrami. $19 for a 1/2 lb. $29 for a full pound. The food court is very nice. Free parking. Nice comfortable dining hall. Friendly staff. Was always curious about this place because of their pastrami banh mi so decided to grab it for dinner. One word to describe the sandwich is one bomb sandwich. The pickle veggies and pastrami go so well together. All the flavors balance each other and were really good. I got the 1/2 pastrami sandwich to share but next time I won't be sharing. I love a good pastrami sandwich, and I also enjoy a good banh mi sandwich. So this was a no brainer if I was somewhat close to go and try it. Well....pastrami and banh mi DO NOT GO TOGETHER!! sorry for my honest opinion. Pastrami by itself was good. But it just doesn't mesh well with the other flavors. Omg this is our new favorite eating place! The pastrami banh Mi was good, but the pork crispy pork belly is the best! The nice guy let me pick out the pork belly piece. A must try. The pastrami is either a half a pound or a whole pound in your sandwich, that's a lot of meat. read more

It was just that Monday. We were completely sold out of everything due to how busy the weekend was. We had to prep everything in the morning and waited for our delivery for our ingredients to arrive.
