I got a large thin crust pizza, with pepperoni, hamburger, and black olives from this Godfathers Pizza. I placed a carry out order, and it was ready when I arrived. The restaurant looks nice and there is limited seating. When I got home to try the pizza, it was visually appealing. However, when I tasted it I felt it was dry and I could barely taste the hamburger or pepperoni. It was there, I think, but it was hard to tell as it appears the pepperoni and hamburger was buried under the cheese. The crust was good but other than the black olives it was pretty flavorless. Also, at $3 a pop for each topping, I was expecting more. That's a bit expensive, to me, considering what I got and how it tasted. I would not recommend. The pizza came to around $30, with a tip, and there are better thin crust pizza options that are less expensive. I would not go again. read more

Order was ready on time and staff is friendly. We go a Pepperoni, mushrooms, banana peppers, extra cheese. I thought it was a little lite on sauce, I could not taste a note of the sauce. Crust is medium fluffy, and it was just ok for me. The pizza is just ok for me, and both Richelle and I got a little heart burn, I think it's from the crust, since those toppings at other place don't do that. Cheese bread is great, this sauce is sweet and nice. If this is the pizza sauce, our pizza definitely needed more of it. Cinnamon think was fantastic, put some in a cup with milk! read more

I ate in at a location near Dayton. I ordered the small classic. The pizza was delicious. The workers were very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was cool. I always prefer high top tables. I would eat there again. I don't like to reheat pizza in the microwave but I wanted it for lunch the next day at work so I tried it and the pizza held up and was still delicious. We love their Combo pizza, but these days you need to order it with EXTRA cheese to get the amount fo cheese you used to get automatically in the '80s. The worst part about this location is that they don't open until noon on Saturday and the earliest pickup is 12:30 which doesn't work in the fall when the Buckeyes football game starts at noon! so they lose a LOT of business by not being open for 11:30-noon pick-up during football season. read more

Ok when you spend over 30 dollars for a pizza and drive up to the pick up window and watch the employee cut and place your pizza in the box and than he gets on his phone for several minutes never looking over at the drive up window as we sit and watch all this. There are 4 employees standing behind the counter with no customers. We end up driving from the pick up window to the front and go inside to get our pizza. I was here a few months ago for the first time and I would have to say I am a fan. I've heard great things from co-workers about Godfather's and since my husband loves pizza we thought we would try it out. We got a large double cheese pizza and I had a side salad. The manager heard it was our first time there and was nice enough to throw in free cheese bread. I will say that I much prefer the cheese bread over the pizza. Price was a little higher for a typically pizza place. We haven't been since that first time because it's further from our house then other places. I wish they would build a Godfather's closer to the Dayton Mall area. read more

This place is not a pizza store or a restaurant. Its a gas station. The pizza is taken out of a freezer and cooked in a $40 counter top oven by the same kid that sells the cigarettes and candy and gas. They charge $14.00 for a plain cheese pizza. Avoid this dump. Godfather's. What can I say? "A Pizza You Can't Refuse" - and I wouldn't dare! If you love oooey gooey cheesy thick pizza, this is your place. You don't get more cheese than this unless you ask for triple cheese from somewhere else. I was recommended the Taco Pizza. Eh, it's okay if you like that kind of thing, but I'm a purist when it comes to pizza, so I'm happiest with the plain cheese. I think pizza is about the sauce, crust and cheese. Let's not cloud the deliciousness with funky toppings. The only thing that keeps me from coming back all the time is the price. It can get expensive - especially if you're getting bread sticks or the Cinnamon Monkey Bread (mmmmmm!). It's a nice treat for pizza, but you'd go broke making a habit of it. Just had a double Italian sausage pizza with jalapeños and it was great. The wait wasn't too long when I went there but I was starving so the smell of the pizza the other patrons were eating drove me nuts. Anyways, great pizza. Would go back for the pizza. Yeah this is a national chain, I wouldn't normally write a review for a national chain unless they are either really good or really bad, but this particular Godfather's Pizza is really good! We love the pizza here, the classic combo is the way to go (unless you're counting calories and then maybe not!), it's really thick and substantial, awesome flavor! Really brings backs memories of Godfathers back in the 80s when they were a lot more prevalent in this area. What this store does really well though is customer service! Very friendly and on the spot with everything. Even though you order at the counter they bring out silverware, napkins, and plates and then deliver your pie when it's ready. We couldn't quite finish everything and were just getting ready to go ask for a box, no need, they brought a box to the table without even having to ask, that was pretty cool. So for some very filling pizza that's always consistently good, check them out! read more

Enter Godfather's pizza, my most recent pizza experience... it's an old name in the pizza biz although I don't recall there being one around the south Dayton suburbs when I was growing up. This was my first time to try a legendary pizza. They have been running a commercial advertising the "Classic Combo" so I ordered a Large one for $20.99 Wowch! The price is a little bit of a shocker for everyone used to the 5 and 10 dollar pizzas out there today. Looking at the setup there, it's a mix of fast food and casual dine in and the pizzas are baked in a conveyor oven. The first good sign was how heavy the box was when they handed it to me! It's definitely a THICK pizza with a lot of toppings and generous amounts of cheese covering it all. The taste is unique and overall good. Didn't seem to be much sauce but maybe it just gets overpowered by all the toppings. Glad I tried it, it's now in the Winning column and it's nice to have another good pizza in town. Give Godfather's Pizza a try, see what you think. They even have a drive-thru window for fast pick up...nice. read more
