My husband and I have been eating Godfather's Taco Pizza since 1984! And this pizza establishment is hard to find...SO, we were excited that one was located in Branson. We ordered a small pizza and medium sized taco pizza. Since they don't have their own delivery drivers, we drove to pick up or pizzas! Total cost: a SHOCKING $47.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We understand that Branson is a tourist town....and feel equally bad for the residents who ALSO have to pay these outrageous tourism prices. IF we ever visit Branson, again....we are packing ever MORE groceries than we did....because eating out/picking up your own pizzas...is outrageously expensive!!!! read more

This place puts out supreme pizzas, pepperoni pizza with jalapeños, and various other oddities; but they produce 1 cheese or pepperoni pizza per hour, even after requests. First time into this Godfather's and I was not favorably impressed. I ordered the "soup and salad bar" to find out there was no soup. The salad options were very limited. Definitely not worth the price. My party had pizza which looked underwhelming. The desert pizzas were a surprise and I was told they were good. The service was minimally adequate, the prices all high, and the ambiance dark and foreboding. I can't recommend this Godfather's in good conscience unless you're desperate. The service was great, they did a good job of keeping fresh/different pizzas on the counter. The real star of the buffet is the fried chicken. It's one of the best in the Branson area. We're local & visit several times. The salad bar has all the typical stuff you would expect. Great decor with a couple tv's for viewing while dining. Good: seating areas were very clean and lots of seating/tables size options. Bad: buffet was not well stocked nor was salad bar. It was fairly early in the evening that we went but nothing had been restocked or cleaned up at the salad bar since lunch. read more

The food here was very good! The buffet was beyond expectations. Everything was hot and fresh. The staff were quick to bring out replacement pizzas and food items. As far as a pizza buffet, this is definitely worth 5 stars I think. Pizza was decent. Better than a frozen pizza. Whoever said that in another review. While it emptied fast, the guys filling it were consistent with the refills. They did a great job. Chicken was my husband's favorite. Kept fairly full except for "that one guy" who took like 15 pieces on one plate. Obviously everyone else had to wait for next refill. Dessert pizza must have been amazing. Nice place/Great People/Good Food Place was clean and food area was inviting. (Tricky at buffets) Easy to get around with the small crowd there. The pizza was good, but I actually loved the fried chicken. The green beans and macaroni and cheese were good as well. I loved the lemon cherry dessert pizza but did not really care for the Bavarian cream pie pizza. Great service, food was hot and fresh. They have fried (broasted) chicken that was crispy and juicy. Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Mac & Cheese. And of course great Pizza, Salad Bar, and Dessert. Lunch buffet until 2pm and Dinner one starts at 4pm. We decided to go to the dinner one, and got everything fresh. Well, the staff were friendly... and that's really where the pleasantries end. I'm honestly not sure how this place was voted "best buffet in Branson" ever really, but it wasn't completely terrible. There were a plethora of options on the 4 different buffet tables. None of the pizza was very good. I assume that's why there are so many other options in the buffet area. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Chicken was soggy and not crispy. Everything was very generic warmed up food delivered from the food service vendor it seems. Biscuits weren't bad. They tasted like KFC's biscuits back when KFC was actually good. I will say, the dessert pizzas were pretty good. Overall, Godfather's Pizza didn't live up to the hype on their billboard sign. Booths were really tight/snug and there weren't many actual tables w/ chairs. I noticed the prices of their pizza combo deals and they are outrageously overpriced. All of the pizza is equivalent to Cici's cheap/low quality pizza, including the low quality the toppings. This place is definitely not something I'd seek out intentionally. read more

We hadn't eaten at a Godfathers for several years and thought we stop in. It didn't live up to our memories and is probably the reason their stores closed down in our city. I recall when their deep dish pizza was more pizza than crust. While the pizza was decent, it's more crust than deep dish. They do offer a nice Buffett if you want a pizza buffet. The entire time we were there, they brought out 2 taco pizzas. There was 1/4 of a pineapple and ham pizza left, 1/4 of a pepperoni, and 3/4 of an olives and mushrooms other than that. It's ok. If you're looking for a place to feed the masses or a variety of picky eaters this is your place. We went for the buffet. The buffet currently runs from 4-7p. A variety of pizzas, dessert pizzas, broasted chicken and sides. Was it clean? Yes and no but not their fault. They were BUSY! Every time they'd get something picked up/wiped down the customers would come along and mess it all up. They were doing their best to stay on top of things while remaining super friendly and patient. There was a large youth group and 2 other large groups there when we were there and the people never stopped moving. The pizza was ok- but the chicken was DELICIOUS!! We really enjoyed the lunch buffet today. After paying the waitress asked for any certain pizzas to be put in on our behalf and both requests were on the buffet in less than 15 min. The pizza was good and the salad bars had a nice set up, Lots if families were there. It is a good deal when filling the leg of a growing child. We weren't all that hungry so we just ordered one pizza. I have had Godfathers before but not in a long time. It wasn't bad, it was ok. It did have lots of cheese on it which I like. The sauce wasn't to my taste. I prefer less sauce and I didn't really care for the flavor. They have a buffet and it looked awesome. The dessert pizza almost made me bite the bullet and get the buffet. I would probably have eaten until I was sick. I love dessert pizzas. They also had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy.
